I have no idea how Lagos is crowded?? Or Kano? I was not born abroad, oga and i visited Nigeria 3 years ago.

Even with the border closure, Nigerians can still come in but they will be put under mandatory supervised isolation for 14 days. It does not stop Nigerians from flying in. It only stops foreigners. Read the guidelines.

CBN has released an economic stimulus fund. too..

I pray, it does not spread in Nigeria.
compare the economic stimulus funds to others palliative measures introduced by other world economics.

you seems to be an apologistz of this government.

so you think those who have been walking into the country all this while from high risk countries have been quarantined

if you've been to Lagos and others then you will know fast the virus will spread in Nigeria ... even up till now test kits are not randomly available and the fund being made available by CBN even kids knows that money will be embezzled in the speed of light.

even a sincere supporter of this government knows their ineptitude
would have take you serious had it been you were among the many in Lagos or Abuja who constantly ply public transport daily and others

We just like to criticize. The only thing, i fault government is not closing the border earlier.
so that's not something serioushuh

You talk as if such ineptitude can take place in the US up till now we have few test kits available amidst the claim to have used 1.6B naira already in managing corona virus and the president still haven't addressed Nigerians
unlike what other worldleaders are doing

infact government had to wait for his daughter to return from US on the 19th prior the border closure...as if the lives of the rest Nigerians does not matter.

I won't take you much serious because you live in a civilized country you have no idea of how over crowded Lagos, Abuja and kano city look like....

they erred for thinking that buhari has same reasoning like them.... I watch CNN every day I get to see how world leaders are addressing their citizens not to panic every now and then but none from this clueless folks and only to now ban flights from 13 countries to take effect on Friday.

So unfortunate that the virus already spreading in Nigeria (there are lots happening already someone will not want disclose) but the government wasnt intelligent and proactive enough- we just have to take caution and be prayerful.

So for mikel I stand with him... and I pray he gets a better club

and some persons are trying to put Nigeria in same picture as the US in terms of security of lives. ....

mind you even the government of this country is trying tirelessly to kill Nigerians

most of the vehicles we have on our major high ways are risk vehicles normally in a first world country those vehicles won't be allowed to play village routes let alone towns and cities

Our politicians and government are gradually killing this country.... stealing from all angle even borrowing to steal

so painful we lost him all because of the football management recklesness and corruption

Northern Nigeria is the source or majority of the insecurity we are experiencing in this country . There are more crimes committed in the north than in the south...that's a fact.... But in the US,you can be killed anywhere and at anytime....
Does Nigeria record herdsmen and Boko Haram killings everyday? Not really
Does the US recording killings from gun related incidents everyday? Absolutely yes!

As for infant mortality,I don't think it relates to the discussion we are having... Nigeria has a poor healthcare system, that's well known...those who want better healthcare can go abroad or private hospitals . We are talking about murder rates here..

@bolded * do u have evidence of that?
@bolded ** If that's true then how did you get the figures you posted about herdsmen attack and Boko Haram attack in the country ?

And finally, before we drag the matter too far,I never said Nigeria was safe.... I'm just saying that nowhere is safe... NOWHERE!
it seems you've not been in this country? ??

I will advise you to always visit other sections like crime on nairaland probably you would have been fully abreast

in Nigeria you don't know that information are often compressed ?
I once heard a long time ago...from a military officer that whenever they reports the death of 20 soldiers know that it is far more than that...reason for the constrained information is to keep safe the people trust in the military and also not to make people afriad from joining the military.

You know better than this.... I wrote on boko haram during my project and up till now I take interest in some of their activities probably because I intend to major in conflicts resolution

who does not know last year the mass death of nigeria soldiers? ??
whydo you think they have been calls for buratai removal? You think it is because they don't like his facehuh

what makes you think recently herdsmen attacks and boko insurgents where placed as the top 5 deadliest groups in the world and terrorist organisantions huh who have they been killing? if not Nigerians that make up the numbers.
why the bounty on Boko head by the US even Osama bin Laden had $5M placed on him prior his death but for boko haram commander he has $7M placed on him.

and for trying to exonerate the south from the crisis bedeviling the country...hope you're are aware that the herdsmen attack Majorly happen now in the south

please use Google to check on the deaths of Nigeria soldiers last year in the hands of boko haram terrorists you'll find out that the number out weigh the cases of homicide in the US

and for the lies that one can be killed anyway in the US baffles me same way they believe anyone can be killed anywhere in Nigeria not until you live there you'll find out that the land is more secure than you think same way after coming here and stay in major cities like Abuja they'll find out abit there is security and not everywhere Is prune to boko haram attack.

You wanna compare the accidents happenings on the roads and high ways the number of deaths huh

or those killed in a year from cult related activities, kidnappings and robberyhuh

please don't paint this..Nigeria can't be compared to the US where it comes to safety at all.

if the deaths that resulted from the tanker explosion in Lagos/ibadan road was said to happened in the US too you would have even include it as a valid point

please try and always visit crime section on nairaland abit read dailies like punch online

Absolutely right! Chicago Murder rate alone...

please relate that with the murder rate last year in Plateau, Kaduna, Zamfara, Enugu, Edo from cult related clashes, Taraba etc and tell me what you seehuh

Bro...u are more likely to die from a gun related violence in the US than from herdsmen and Boko Haram attacks in Nigeria... You know why? In Nigeria, you know where to avoid if u don't want to be attacked by herdsmen and Boko Haram insurgents... Don't go to the core north!
But in the US,you have no idea of knowing when or where the next madman will open fire on innocent people at public gatherings.... And make no mistake, the US has more gun related deaths per year than Nigeria.... Murder rates in the US are even more than in Nigeria (I may be wrong)....

Nowhere is safe!
grin

this is the most shallow posts I have seen lately sorry to say this bro.

so the villages, high ways attacked in the southern nigeria are in the core north? ??

the prominent Yoruba lady that was killed by herdsmen prompting the emergence of amotekun was she killed in the northhuh

over 200 souls that died in enugu by herdsmen were they killed in the north? ??

my inlaw in Benin was shot by herdsmen on his way back from work in neighbouring LGA probably he was shot too in the North? ??

the herdsmen attacks in delta, south west and east probably it happened in the North too??
how about the kidnapping for random on major high ways where a full fledged 18 seater bus passengers are kidnapped it happened in the south please...

do you know that Nigeria record 50% of road accidents cases that happened world wide and most Nigeria drivers are not even qualified to pass a driving school exam in the US in a Norway last year Oslo record just one accident for a year how many can you count in Lagos state plshuh
or is it security that you can be robbed any time like in Benin...

or you want us to divulge into health infant mortality rate...Nigeria one of the most dangerous place for child birth...

please you guys should not paint this thing

the number of Nigerian soldiers killed a year tripled the number of Americans that died from gun related violence

in Nigeria information is compressed but in the US information about the happenings and all are all revealed....

so please don't just go there .... Nigeria is a very dangerous place to live in

so, the 20+ people that died recently in Tennessee, why didn't they evacuate them?
Just 20 people not even up to the numbers that die daily in a single terrorism attack in borno or herdsmen invasions

Abeg Nigeria is not safe compared to even the US.

It seems you never followed the convo that day.

I was against his appointment being that he has no coaching badge and rohr being a defender someone like finidi would have been better

But notwithstanding I prefer him to Imama the gucci coach....God knows I will even prefer my old grand father to coach the super eagles than clueless Imama and Aigbogun

When nacho was saving our ass nko, when e get hard times say dem no drop amhuh
it depends.... even then Rohr kept in nacho up to an extent not until he was now a perpetual bench warmer in club level

same thing for Onauchu he got other invitations not because he proved so spectacular in GwG but that singular goal against Egypt earn him several call ups...

rohr is the kind of coach...that can be easily impressed with by your performance on the pitch when you get your chance and first impression matters to him alot

so for Kalu
firstly, the goal scored against Benin was of recent the last two matches played

secondly, he plays for Rohr traditional club Bordeaux

lastly, Dude is back on his feet like reported here he played the last two matches for his club

so you see both cases are different

well said and Kalu if you remember saved our ass against Benin

Rohr has been active in the last couple of weeks. He has had chats with several players. Zirkzee is just one of them. One has accepted to play for sure.
it is much easier to get this Zirkzee to play for us than those spoilt borough kids even the ones warming bench with no 3 lions future will still be forming for us

I am just looking at them...God keep us we will see who will laugh last....

I believe effort Rohr would have used in chasing those English kids should be used in going after reasonable players of other nationalities save for German born kids too that some times behave like English kids the others are cool headed and they know what they want
