All of them except Ekong were in Primary school when Eguavoen was doing wonders in 2006. They wan mad ni? grin

Plus they no get choice. He's not the kind that will be on the disrespect consideration list. Nigerians won't support such a player no matter how big he is.
The only player he once had issue with was Yakubu then because he opted to play Makinde of Palermo Italy instead then

According to him Makinde was in blazing form and he couldn't overlook him simply because him and Yakubu are from the same state and that caused a rift between them

One good thing about AE is that his 23/24 man team selection to a large extent is fair and deviod of questionable call ups

Now I know the problem of the super eagles

Our problem is frontline with absence of oshimen and Lookman we'll struggle to win matches

Eguavoen has sealed his legacy as one of the best managers to ever come from Nigeria, he has been in the game for long and has never cowered when called up to steady the ship. The man has been vilified so much because he's the quiet and modest type but his coaching records are actually very impressive based on winning ratio.

My ranking of Nigeria's best coaches will be:

Keshi
Eguavoen
Samson Siasia.
How about Amodu?

this is benin ooo
he has a lot to prove before he can be said to be appropriate for the position
Bro Benin is not child's play
Rarely have we won 3 nil in qualifiers for sometime now most especially against a rival team like Benin

Just because oshimen and boni missed chances is match rusty we would've been like 5 goals up

This is the repercussion of those miss chances by Boniface

Benin is now adding pressure

No, not too soon, he’s doing what VO does by distracting the defenders. Make Una no spoil better soup o
Bros we're wasting our corners

Oshimen would've convert one of this

I don’t care about the rules but Boniface is better than Awoniyi, atleast Boniface offers movement
Bro awoniyi good oo just that forest nor get head....

Awoniyi is a decent striker he happens to be in a poor team that's why remember he did well in Germany in a mid level team

no doubt. You will see my reasons in second half. At least benin will open up.
Just want them to bring on Osimhen

I wanna see him score and be happy that will alone pepper those Napoli folks and set him up for great things with Gala next week

TheLoneCitizen:
Go watch him at club level, plays exactly the same.

There's a reason he already had 8 assists last season by December.

8 assists in 5 months for a striker
Bro bayern is an attacking minded team

Someone like lookman will score lot of goals for bayern.... and the defenders are not as fast and cover up space like the English, Spain and Italian leagues.

Missing those chances huh

Lookman individual brilliance got us this goal Brother

chuks404:
what are u even saying? It means u don't understand what the formation is saying. Like I mentioned in my either post. Lookman and Chukwueze are the dangerous guys to mark in that formation
I rather start nacho in this game than play Boniface

Nacho can switch with lookman or whoever on the wings

He can make penetrative passes

Boniface is a second half player at least left to me I prefer Moffi
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by humility33(m): 5:52pm On Sep 07, 2024
Goke7:
That’s a problem o, oshimen will not always be available. We need a consistent contingency plan cos all it takes for the opposition is to injure the player
They're playing with no urgency

Thanks to Lookman for standing out
That was individual brilliance

TheLoneCitizen:
On what grounds will an Awoniyi with 0 starts for relegation fighters Forest start over someone starting for title contenders Bayer
You so stuck with rules

We are talking of play so far you're mentioning him for Bayern

What's our business if he plays for Bayern
We are talking of a national team match we're watching with our eyes and u are saying he should remain on the pitch because he plays for Bayern

Does that even make sense ?

AE really need to grow balls and call up players that can give him results irrespective of where they plays.

TheLoneCitizen:
He was the only deserving starter based on merit
I am sure you are Finidi kind of coach

U don't read match?
From the match so far dude is not it

Benin have been giving us too much respect little opportunity they will utilise it and then back the bus

You're talking about him starting base on merit

Will the merit win u the match or ability to twerk formation qnd understand today is not his day

Nigerians will crucify AE for benching oshimen if he loose this match
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by humility33(m): 5:37pm On Sep 07, 2024
Please they should remove Boniface abeg

We can't keep missing chances like this and expect to win

Benin will utilise just one chance if they gets it
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by humility33(m): 5:32pm On Sep 07, 2024
TheLoneCitizen:
It was a good idea.

Osimhen didn't need that pressure.

The roar when he comes on will be very morale boosting.

Easier to deliver strong performance then against tired legs
He is not converting the chances na even the corner kicks played was something I expect our players to utilise because it was pinpoint

Benin players will convert those chances we've been missing

Time. That's my argument. My point is carefully worded. If Eguaveon was given the seven years that Rohr was given he'd have possibly performed better than Rohr.

Rohr was a mediocre coach.
AE is too Conservative too stuck with the 1994 tactics

Dude really need to up his game
