As the Federal Government plans prior to the reopening of airports across the country, the Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika has disclosed that passengers on international flights may have to arrive at the airport five hours before their flight’s takeoff while those on local flights will need to be at the airport three hours before their flights take off.

The Minister who made this know during an inspection of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja and Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos on Saturday June 27, stated that they are putting the necessary equipment in order to help passengers adapt efficiently to the new normal and ensure that everything is done on time.

Oyo state’s commissioner for youth development and sports, Seun Fakorede has made an announcement that he tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

Recall that Hushpuppi was nabbed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, UAE on June 10.

Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has reacted to the decision of the Lagos State Government to delay reopening of schools, churches and mosques.

MURIC Director, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, in a statement released on Thursday, gave Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu a thumbs up on his decision to suspend the reopening of churches and mosques few days back.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan on Monday June 15, made it known that Nigeria records an amount of $29 billion loss yearly to irregular and poor power supply.

The Senate President who disclosed this as he made a declaration to open an investigative public hearing on a motion entitled: “Power Sector Recovery Plan and the Impact of Covid-19 Pandemic” which will be organised by the Senate Committee on Power in Abuja, revealed that about N1.8 trillion has been spent on power since 2015 with no tangible achievement in the sector.

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation has reacted to the attack launched by the presidency on the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) over alleged insecurity in the Northern area of the country.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has given hints that students who are in their final year at Junior Secondary School Class, JSS 3, and Senior Secondary School, SS 3, would be prioritised ahead of the reopening of schools in the State.

Obaseki had earlier given directive that schools in Edo are to shut down in March as part of measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19.
