The Massachusetts feline, named Frank and Louie, had two mouths, two noses and three eyes. But one brain meant both faces responded in unison. Frank and Louie made it into the 2012 edition of Guinness World Records as the longest-surviving so-called Janus cat - named after a Roman god with two faces. Janus cats almost never survive, and most have congenital defects. When owner Marty Stevens took in Frank and Louie back in 1999, she was told the cat would die within three or four days. But careful nursing saw her pet survive. "I tube-fed him until he was three months old because I was afraid he wouldn't be able to eat," she told The Telegram of Worcester. And while still devastated by the death of Frank and Louie following a short illness, Ms Stevens said she would be ready to give another Janus cat a home if one was in need. "I would love to do it again," she said. source.. skynews.com

This is to regrettably inform the students of Light that our laudable quarterly programme which comes on OGTV every Saturday, and is expected to be on today, 7th January, 2012 at 1830 has been blocked by the Ogun State Television Service, through the orders of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission. This is a joke of the century. On enquiry we were unreliably told that it was an order from one of the corrupt directors of a department in the National Broadcasting Commission who strongly advised OGTV to block the One Love Family programme because, as they claim, that our programme is dynamic and new to the people. This illegality goes a long way to tell any right thinking person that there is a big fish that has been manipulated out of water in that national outfit to finish itself. However, we find this act as a sabotage to the good people and Governments of the Federal Republic, comprising the Federal Government and the 36 States of the Nigerian Federation and indeed the entire human race because the Living Perfect Master’s programmes are not only for Nigeria but indeed the whole world at a time that all hands are on deck to provide a meaningful and positive direction towards saving the human race and our environment. Apart from the fact that this great country is a secular state and so all religious bodies must be equally represented to enable Nigeria win her war against corruption, terrorism, tribal barriers and religious fanaticism which is currently threatening life and property. Until we revert back to you on the matter we wish the students of Light to stay focused and join fellow citizens towards finding positive answers to lingering problems facing the nation and entire humanity today. My love and blessings. Satguru Maharaj Ji, Living Perfect Master |
There was tension in Ughelli, Delta State on Sunday as ex-militants under the Federal Government’s amnesty phase two programme demanded the disbandment of Ogor-Bakassi, a vigilance group in the town. The ex-militants under the leadership of ‘General’ Israel Akpodoro, who is the national vice chairman of the Federal Government’s amnesty phase two programme, accused the security group which was set up by three traditional rulers in the area of killing his ‘boy’, Ovie Omote. Omote was allegedly killed last Thursday by members of the Bakassi group for being in possession of firearms and being suspected to have been involved in various abductions in the Ughelli axis. The incident also led to the destruction of a van belonging to the vigilance group, a development, which had created serious tension in the area, as residents were apprehensive that security in the place would soon break down. But, Akpodoro, who spoke with a group of journalists in Warri, said in a bid to eliminate his group, the leadership of Bakassi group had devised a means of ‘hanging’ accusations of kidnapping on his boys. “My boy was coming on a bike from Ewu; they pulled him down and started shooting at him before he started to run. They ran after him and continued spraying him with bullets until he died. Two women and a boy were also wounded in the process. “He was not a kidnapper. We are already big boys; what are we going to do with kidnapping money. I don’t take nonsense from anybody and I had never supported any illegality after we submitted arms to the Federal Government,” said the group leader. Akpodoro said he had already reported the renewed threat on his members to the Presidency, Inspector General of Police, Mr. Hafiz Ringim, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mamman Tsafe, Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan and the Joint Military Taskforc (JTF) in the region. He said: “Before the killing, the traditional rulers had a meeting with the security agencies and they resolved that all ex-militants in the area should be gunned down because they suspected our members were involved in kidnapping.” He noted that having exhausted all existing avenues to resolve the various threats to himself and his group, the ex-militants would have no other option but to unleash violence on the members of the vigilance group in seven days if the Federal Government did not intervene. Akpodoro, who was surrounded by his lieutenants, maintained that his boys were no longer carrying arms, adding that the group had resolved to maintain the peace after laying down their arms during the amnesty programme. On the next line of action if his demands were not met, the ex-militants’ leader who flaunted a letter he had written to the police for their protection, said: “We will declare war against the Bakassi group and crush them. “By the time this happens, there will be war in this place.
