🤣🤣🤣. I was wishing for this detailed narration to not end. Very interesting read. GloryJoyeux: My solar yield this January.
The heat this time of the year caused a significant drop in solar yield. Always remember to factor in the temperature coefficient when purchasing your solar panels so as to have a realistic yield estimate when you factor in the different temperatures we experience throughout the year.
10.2kw sms dual mppt 10.28kw panels (12x440w Jinko and 10x500w cworth) 18kwh cworth lifepo4 batteries ( 2x100ah and 1x150ah) Solar Assistant on Raspberry pi5 Victron smart shunt 300a Junktek shunt/battery monitor 100a
Achieved 100 percent off-grid status in January.
Take not, load does not factor in the 100wh consumed by the inverter itself (72kwh in 30days)
Peak continuous solar yield this month was 6,500kw i.e 63percent max yield
Peak cumulative load this month was 5.2kw
Max yield - 34.1kwh on Jan 20th Lowest yield - 12.5kwh on Jan 19th
Max load - 24.3kwh on Jan 27th Lowest load - 9.8kwh on Jan 19th
Max solar yield in 7days - 205kwh between Jan 17th - 23rd

Something a lot of folks miss when trying to go the renewable energy route is using energy efficient appliances. Converting all appliances to energy efficient ones is as important as getting panels and installing batteries. As you can see, most of my appliances are energy efficient.
Energy management is also an important factor, I make use of smart switches which are automated to turn appliances on and off for different set durations.
My biggest energy consuming appliances for the month of January:
1. Lg 1.5hp inverter air conditioner 184kwh 2. Lg 1hp inverter air conditioner 84kwh 3. Starlink and own router 59kwh 4. Double door fridge 52.3kwh 5. Chest deep freezer 34.63kwh 6. Heat-pump clothes dryer 27kwh

Have you checked the gear oil fluid level if it's low? You'll need a competent gear master to diagnose for you. This is the gear oil recommended for Toyota. There might be fakes around too, it's important you get the original to avoid damaging the transmission. Judeopara: Hello everyone I drive A 2016 corolla, sometime last year September I started noticing the difficulty in smooth acceleration of the car it developed to the car finding really hard to climb a hill and I noticed some leaks from the gear area anytime I park. So I asked my mechanic to scan it, and it brought out this code p2757 with a little research I understand that it's inside the gear and it controls the oil pressure. Also my mechanic said the oil seal needs to be changed because that's where the leakage is from. Though the car has been parked since then. Please I will like to know
How much they sell the parts needed to be changed. If it's going to affect the gear anyway hence a gear master would need to open it.
What's the best gear oil for the car.

How long have you used it, is it still covered by warranty? Have someone take a look at the settings and connections. If it still persists, return it to vendor/care center. Mubbin: It brings the code randomly and not even when charging, it can come up when the battery is even at 60% and when we restart, it becomes normal again. After some hours same thing reoccur |

Autos › Re: Total Cost Of Clearing A Vehicle In Nigeria by Hybrid600: 6:54am On Jan 08, 2025 |
It's so crazy. For a car that's damaged and probably gonna be used for parts, customs will charge for it like it's a mobile and clean title. They should even consider it's damaged and let the damaged titles have their own fair price. Jaid, keep up the good work. Manlinee: I don’t think I can go forward with this anymore. It just doesn’t make any sense. What I’ll do now is look for one of my dealer friends—someone who buys and sells cars. I’ll ask them to pay me for the car, and they can take it from there. They’ll handle the clearing and shipping costs themselves. Maybe when things change in the future, I’ll consider shipping something into the country again. For now, I go waka passsssss
Honestly, now I understand why people smuggle cars in the country . I can’t even blame them anymore. When the system is this bad, what else are people supposed to do? |

This man! I just dey reason am today as I see one guy dey beg people for battery to start his car. I wondered if car batteries have a Lifpo4 version coz I haven't seen any. So meaning if one was to build a Lifpo4 car battery, the amp from alternator will be put into consideration and the engine heat. dollarnaira: I built one several months back. Charging amp of alternator was almost or more than 1C. Though it was able to start the car effectively but avoided charging via alternator. The curiosity of a man enh....
Another negative factor was surrounding heat. |

Please if it's not too much to ask, can you post the kind of Bluetooth connector you got for your car? I don't seem to understand what I'm seeing when I search online. My CD player doesn't work, this Bluetooth will be the next best thing to use. Thanks Cryomancer: Please you need to visit a Honda stereo specialist to see if it can still be fixed. If you're in Lagos, you can visit Willoughby Street in Oyingbo, that's where I once fixed mine but I don't have his number anymore.
But just so you know, that stereo is already at its latter stage of life, that's why it's acting up in that manner. Just plan to get a tokunbo one which the last time I checked wasn't even up to 45k
Good luck |

Don't use hot water o! I don't think panels can be 100% clean this period until rainy seasons. The best you can do is cleaning them to get most of the dust off em. HeavenlyBang: How do I clean my panels?
I've tried hosing them with a some dish soap and water, then just water, but there remains a thin layer of dust/grime on them.
Not sure how much that affects my output, though, but I want them as clean as possible. Do I try using hot water? |
