I understand that questions answered before will be asked again even if it's been answered on that same page, it won't stop and it will keep happening coz a lot do not know anything about solar set ups and they will keep coming to ask so they learn and know.
We just need to be patient while helping to respond to those asking these questions so they don't make mistakes coz if they knew the answers, they won't be here asking.

Good evening guys.Please I am a novice in the solar world.i recently bought a hithium 2kwh portable power station online.Before buying the unit I read reviews online that it charges from 0-100% in 2 and half hours.on getting the unit I faced difficulty in charging it as it refuse to charge with nepa light.

I was recommended to buy a stabilizer.I bought a firman 2000VA stabilizer.After purchasing the stabilizer it started charging but it charges intermittently.It charges for 5mins stop charging for 5mins,charges for 2mins stops charging for 3mins.To cut a long story short it charges very poorly.A unit that suppose to be fully charged in about 2 and a half hours now takes 6 hours plus and nobody would give you electricity for 6hours straight where I live.

I felt probably the electricity in the area I lived was very poor so I took it to my shop which is very far away from my home to charge but still same story.I am so full of regrets right now.
I am thinking of buying a 5000VA stabilizer to try it with but I'm not sure if it would work or I would just be wasting my 160k.

Please anybody with experience with hithium power station should please help me.Should I buy the 5kva stabilizer or just return the unit as a faulty unit or is it how it usually operates.
Please help guys.

Replacement should be done ASAP to avoid serious damages and loss of properties.

I did like to say Happy New year to those who may have crossed over and Happy New Year in advance to those counting down...

Just today, I thought it required to isolate my system in bits for checks, tightening and dust blowing off starting with my Charge Controller with pictures attached.

However, I found something worthy of monitoring. The Battery negative line appears to be burning gradually from the inside. Gradually I mean after about 3years. I may have to monitor this over time and consider changing...

This is just to share and remind us to prepare our systems for yet another year for optimization and or any words/contribution

What's your budget? I strongly recommend you go for Lifpo4 lithium batteries and get original jinko or Ja solar panels from accredited dealers like Fouani.

DIY IS expensive.

There's the monetary expense that comes with buying tools and materials at retail prices, and then the time expense, opportunity cost, actual stress and effort plus having to troubleshoot when things eventually go wrong.

Recently I wanted to build a 12v battery to use as an auxiliary battery on my car. By the time I calculated the things involved, I jeje went to buy it from a guy selling it on the lithium thread. It was much cheaper than if I'd tried to build it myself, simply because I don't even have the tools.

On a side note, using lead acid + LFP in parallel on a car seems to work like a charm. LFP handles the idle drain, while the LA takes over when cranking.

My Sako inverter has been displaying two error codes today.

Error 51 (overcurrent or surge)

Error 58 (Output voltage is too low)

The persistent one is error 58, nothing is coming on.

I've disconnected all inputs and outputs, as well as the battery. It's still the same thing.

What could possibly be wrong?

That day na bread I go buy from bakery on a Sunday morning before 9am when I met their road block, though I wasn't asked to pull over but they had pulled some cars over and it was obvious that the occupants of those cars was all going to Sunday service.
I was very angry that I pulled over and had a banter with them. I told who was their squad leader that I don't find them on this same spot on Fridays before and after jumat prayers so why are they here on Sundays harassing Christian worshippers that are going to church? He was looking at me with a confused face.

I asked them to go mount their road block around Dei dei axis to catch those that drive one way on the express.

I have implemented several automations. One automation turns off powerful appliances when consumption exceeds solar generation for more than 20 minutes, but only if the time is after 4:00 PM. Another automation activates a custom-built fan that I attached to the external heatsink when the temperature rises above 48 degrees Celsius. I have an automation that turns on the water heater once the battery reaches 100%.

The past 5 months have been great so far.

My system consists of Deye 6kw SG03 version, Deye SE-G5.1 PRO-B x 2, Jinko 555w x 12

There are actually very good piping guys that will lay it round and bring that machine back to life. You can still make something decent from selling it instead of selling as scrap...

My scanfrost has been running since 2009, the only repairs I have done on it was fixing the freezer door hinge that got damaged by ice 😁

Did I mention that in the 12 years I never did a single repair until 2023 when internal leakage occured and it was not cooling well.I was told it has internal leakge and was advised to change the internal piping but decided to buy a new one.It is still sitting somehwere in my house to be sold as scrap when I have the time.

When you switch to lithium batteries which is maintenance free, then you'll save on costs.

I fill my inverter batteries with inverter(Distilled) water every month and it cost me N5000 to N10,000 monthly.

I don't know if there's anything I can do to reduce such.

Be sure the keyless entry system isn't faulty like a faulty receiver or antenna.
Have you tried using a well charged car battery?

It seriously can. I remember back in 2017, it was a bad radiator cap that cost a Camry 2010 it's transmission.

After it over heated and car was given to a quack that opened the transmission after changing gasket.
Even after the gasket replacement, car was still overheating until someone mentioned changing the radiator cap of less than #500 back then and the overheating stopped.

It's one of the first thing I check whenever I meet someone with a car overheating problem.

You'll need to up your budget. Original panels alone is about 150 per unit and if you'll be needing about 6, do the maths. Battery, cables, inverter and other accessories hasn't been added.
