FINAL UPDATE
At long last, I got my battery back yesterday evening. The bms had to be changed and now the battery is currently working as it should. I just hope the issue doesn’t arise again.

So took me a while but concluded that what i have were relabelled 300w panels. Max I av gotten under load was 140w per panel and falls back to 110w at peak sun exposure. Guess that's why i wasnt really an advocate for the mppt part of the inverter. Hoping to do an upgrade of the panels soon and then give report on its performance

I've also seen LG inverter V ac. I was surprised and I wonder how efficient it will be.

Seems it's the season of lightning in Benin.
It also got to an inverter at a friend's house.
I had asked if he's earthed the new building and he said he paid the electrician handling the project to do it.
I got a call that the system was showing error code which translates to a short circuit problem.
Had someone go check out the earthing of the house only to find just a naked thunder arrestor chilling on the rooftop without any form of wire connection attached to it.
I wonder why some people are just somehow. He paid huge amount for the earthing to be done and yet nothing was done.

There's a man I know, since he got he's solar system installed, he hasn't touched he's mikano generator for like 5 years and counting. What he later did was to programme it to come on every Sunday to run and warm the engine for about 5 mins ....
It just might come in handy someday is the reason some still keep theirs ....

Glad you later got one. This thing is a joy. Upgraded my battery to LiFePo4. No more drop in speed as experienced with Lion when the battery is getting low.

Tokumbo may come with small wahala like the batteries getting weak or not all that strong.
Na person like you and Valto go couple cells to make the car superb again like brand new 😎...

Hello Guyz,
I just needed a professional opinion on this.
I currently have a 12V system with 1000W(4X250) PV in use for about 3years connected to 2 220AH tubular with a 60A CC.
Experience has been good but I'm thinking of upgrading to a Hybrid system. Reasons been that I want to do it in phases myself.
Base on the research in this thread i was able to drill down to the following hardwares:

SMS Hybrid Inverter 2kva/ 2000W 12V (Mppt 80A)
625W X 4 Jinko PV due to space.

However, based on my research, I'm skeptical about the inverter ability to handle the energy from the panel or go the route of upgrading to a 24V system with 120A CC with same amount of panels due to space.

My questions are:
1. Has anyone used that Inverter and whether it can stand test of time.
2. Based on the ratings I've seen for the inverter being 4000W for PV, with it be able to handle future PV addition.
3. Would you advice upgrade the system to a 24V system with 120A CC.

NB: Everything is within a budget and can't exceed but has been prioritized.

All opinions are welcome.

Except it's a 24v inverter system, that's only when your 2 batteries will work.
I think their 5,8,12kw systems are rated at 48v.

It's not advisable connecting new batteries to old batteries. The old will weaken the new ones .

What does this solar generator mean? Is it different from our normal solar and inveter?

In lay terms, it's a box containing an inverter and battery inside it. It also has provisions or ports where solar panels can be connected to it .

Weldone but are you sure all these appliances can be powered concurrently on a 8kw Deye though? 8 units of 1.5hp and heater alone seem to exceed 8kw already unless you were sure that they all won't be powered concurrently otherwise you may need another Deye in parallel
