owukpa: Young inventor, Paul Oloche has released some of his latest inventions.
The 18-year-old Oloche, a secondary school leaver displayed some of his latest works when WWW.IDOMAVOICE.COM Editor, Ben Idah visited his Otada home in Otukpo area of Benue State on Friday.
The young man successfully fabricated a prototype of fighter jet he christened Oko-LX with the blades and engine working perfectly.
It was named in honour of the late Och’Idoma, Chief Ogiri Oko.
He also displayed another of his invention he named Otada Conqueror, a mini 4-wheel drive that looks exactly like a Toyota Hilux.
The invention was named after his village, Otada, Otukpo.
Interestingly, the young man was able generate power through a solar panel he invented.
He nicknamed it ‘Ewa’ Solar (which means People in Idoma language.)
Here are some of the items exhibited by this young Nigerian, who is currently looking for admission to study engineering in the university.
This Idoma voice is grossly unprofessional and the spokesperson is doubly worse. That definitely can’t be a journalist and if by mistake he is, his license should be revoked for misleading the public. Oloche keep at it, you’re more than 70% prepared to take on the world, just a little refining and you’re good.
motivationspika: I went to Federal Road Safety office yesterday to solve a problem and decided to take a stroll to the Civil Service Commission, being a stone's throw. I walked straight to the office of the Director, Recruitment & Appointment(Rooms 204 & 205) for inquiries. The office was so scanty unlike before. Nothing to show that they are typing any appointment letter as we were meant to understand from our reliable sources. Are they typing them in hidden places or in secret places or in the Director's house? I asked myself. They were only discussing yesterday's politics. I told them "I have come to confirm if the typing of appointment letters we have been hearing about will be through this week, and besides, I would like to check for a candidate's name". Their response is this: "when the date for appointment letter is fixed, you will be notified". A man there reluctantly checked for the person's name from a list he brought out from one drawer, after asking me for his state and the position he applied for, and then told me the person didn't make it to that stage. I wonder what he meant by "that stage". I met four persons under Osun/Oyo state that were called for documentation. Although, of the four, one wasn't called actually but only decided to come check for his name. He was fortunate. A junior staff told me some peoples' names are in the substantive list but they were not called for documentation. I asked him why? He said only the Commissioners can answer to that . To the expectant, so long as appointment letter is the real end to this journey, never give up and never give in.
