betshopagent: The project is owned by Bart Nnaji but started under GEJ. So it was licensed by GEJ administration. The problem Bart faced was two. The first was raising capital. Secondly after raising capital, land was another issue. He raised more money to acquire lands for the power station. This project was mainly for Ariaria market but He expanded it to power 9local government areas in Abia. It gurantees 24/7 hours light. Lies. The project wasn't originally for Ariaria, but businesses and industries in Aba. FYI, AIMATA (Ariaria International Market Traders Association) built and commissioned their independent power plant. It was a 9.5MW plant commissioned by Buhari. The FG's NERC licensed Ariaria Independent Energy Distribution Network Limited to distribute the generated power. |

Putinofrussia: That is because they are mostly more educated than you are..
Effect of Money Supply on the Economy.
An increase in the supply of money typically lowers interest rates, which in turn, generates more investment and puts more money in the hands of consumers, thereby stimulating spending. Businesses respond by ordering more raw materials and increasing production. The increased business activity raises the demand for labor.
The opposite can occur if the money supply falls or when its growth rate declines. Banks lend less, businesses put off new projects, and consumer demand for home mortgages and car loans declines. This one don go copy Economics text book. increasing Ms stimulates spending which exerts inflationary pressure on the economy, consequently leading to demand-pulled inflation. It's a pity that Economics textbook you copied didn't tell you that. |

Chummynoni: This much in circulation with little or no impact in the lives of the populace, one of the reasons inflation is killing us. It is obvious the Ms is way more than this. Nigeria that doesnt have record. Some Tinubu supporters are already celebrating that (all-time money supply) without knowing the implications. When we call them illiterates, they say we are toxic. 🤣🤣🤣 |

WhiteWood: Good News!! It's uplifting to see positive developments emerging in Nigeria. Kudos to BAT. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It seems only illiterates support BAT. Too much money in circulation (money supply) are one of the major causes of inflation. Too much money supply when Nigeria is already experiencing one of the worst inflations ever shows how clueless the CBN Governor is. |

banku: Nnaji should be respected for his intellectual pursuit of energy since he was a Minister. It was unfortunate that he left based on conflict of interest.
Let us face it, profit is a viable encouragement for success. What should be discouraged is excessive greed like gambling to defraud others we saw in Boesky and Milken on Wall Street.
Nnaji is different. He had a Mission and I am glad he was supported by Nigeria Power Holding Co.
The irony here is that it was this same Tinubu that fought Obasanjo for Independent Power Partnership. The individual Gas powered and distribution worked well in Kwara then.
But Nnaji have to watch out. Those without contributions but privileged will force a stake in this project.
Ask Bronson about how he got fed up with Nigerian/Atlantic Airline.
Respect to Nnaji. Not a problem, provided they are bringing in money |

SoNature: Oga, Geometric Energy will source gas from Shell gas facility in Abia State for generating, transmitting and distributing power across Aba and its environs. Everyone knows this already. SoNature: By the way, what stalled the power company wasn't the federal government. It was Emeka Offor's EEDC that refused to let them operate because they have the license to cover the whole of South East as their catchment area. Did I said it was stalled by the FG? SoNature: Lastly, power has been moved from the exclusive list to the concurrent list. In fact, the licenses of these Discos have already expired. Stop the blame game already. State governments can now issue serious energy companies licenses to generate, transmit and distribute power in their states. The only challenge is that such business is capital intensive. License was never Geometric Power but guaranteeing steady power supply |

IGBOSON1: Could you shed more light on the bolded? Obijackson (Nestoil) through his Company, Century Power Generation LTD is building 1,500 MW power station. It'll be in three phases. The first phase will generate 495 MW, which will be enough to power the whole Anambra state. Project should have been completed in 2021 but COVID and other things delayed it. It'll be ready for commercial use by 2026. When commissioned, Anambra should be the first state to attain 100% 24/7 power supply. Besides this, there are several other power projects currently going on in Anambra which I believe is up to 4,500 MW. |

manutdrichie: 1500? Are you sure?
Is it funded by the state govt? Yeah. Private individual. The project developer is Century Power Generation LTD, a subsidiary of Nestoil, owned by Obijackson. The first phase is about 495MW, which is enough to power the whole Anambra, will be ready by 2026. For context, the all-time peak power generation EVER attained in Nigeria was 5,801 MW, which averages 156.7 MW for each state. So, 495 MW should fully power Anambra state. |

The decision comes in response to the shooting attack on Thursday near the Maaleh Adumim settlement, which resulted in the death of an Israeli soldier and the wounding of at least eight others. We support this. Palestinian terrorists brought that on themselves. |

Politics › Re: Now That Aba Is About To Have 24/7 Electricity... by IamAtikulate(op): 12:15pm On Feb 23, 2024 |
SoNature: Aba people should pay their power bills because electricity is not cheap. Most of us clamour for 24/7 power supply but we don't even know that we cannot afford it. Don't worry about us. SoNature: Geometric should supply its own meter and have a system for tracking power supply and bills because you cannot stop a Nigerian from bypassing their meter, especially when power supply is steady. If you refuse to pay your power bill, you will run Geometric out of business. Nothing concerns Geometric with distribution. Aba Power is in charge of that and those guys are not smiling. SoNature: BTW, other states with gas should also emulate Geometric Energy. We should gradually end this national grid nonsense. Every state should start generating, transmitting and distributing power. Anambra has several power station projects that are ongoing. They will become an energy powerhouse if they can pull them all off. SoNature: By the way, I can never supply power to residents if I own a power company. Instead, I will focus on companies and offices. And who will give you license? Anyways, that was Geometric original business model but the FG stopped them. |

BreconHills: And why haven't operations started since 2013? Do you build an integrated power station in one day. Geometric is a generation, transmission, and distribution power company. Only the transmission cables are over 150,000 KM. For context, Lagos to Kano is about 991 KM. So, the Geometric transmission cables are over 150x that distance. Can you pull that off in a day? The project stalled during Buhari government but OTTI helped expedite it. |
