Dear Northern Leaders, We can do better! The proposed #TaxReformBills are looming, and I strongly feel that Northern Nigeria is not ready. Here's why: 1. Misplaced priorities: For example, government-sponsored mass weddings while our region struggles with unproductive population explosion. 2. Poor resource allocation: Vibrant youth are neglected, while white elephant projects and palliatives take center stage. 3. Division and disunity: Ethnic and religious lines divide us, weakening our collective strength. 4. Ineffective leadership: Godfather and "Quoter system" candidates occupy key positions, these candidates are usually disconnected from reality. It's time to confront these issues head-on! To move forward: - Let's prioritize education, skill development, and entrepreneurship programs for our youth. - Let's demand transparency and accountability in government spending. - Let's foster unity and cooperation among our people, regardless of ethnic or religious differences. - Let's support visionary leaders who understand the needs of our region. If you're offended by this post, it's likely because you're part of the problem. The time for complacency is over. Let's rise to the challenge and build a better future for Northern Nigeria!

The Important Role of Effective Leadership in Business Can Never be Overemphasized. |
#Business101 Dear Business Owner, In today's fast-paced business landscape, it's no longer enough to just 'boss around'. The most successful leaders are those who stay ahead of the curve by constantly innovating, learning, unlearning, and exposing themselves to the latest trends, concepts, and technologies. Don't get left behind! The moment you think you know it all is the moment you begin to fall behind. The business world is evolving at an unprecedented rate, and only those who are willing to adapt, learn, and innovate will thrive. Here are the key takeaways for business leaders: 🎯 Innovate or Perish: Stay ahead of the competition by embracing new ideas, technologies, and business models. 🎯 Lifelong Learning: Continuously update your skills, knowledge, and expertise to remain relevant. 🎯 Unlearn and Relearn: Be willing to let go of outdated practices and adopt new ones. 🎯 Match Ahead: Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in your industry. Always remember, the most successful leaders are those who are curious, open-minded, and willing to learn. They understand that the moment they stop learning is the moment they start failing. So, dear business leaders, don't just 'boss around'. Stay ahead of the game by embracing innovation, learning, and exposure. Your business, employees, and customers will thank you! #Innovation #LifelongLearning #UnlearnAndRelearn #StayExposed #BusinessLeadership #ModernBusiness #TrendingTrends #mediagenius

#Branding101 Why is Brand Architecture Important? As your business grows, it's time to think about expansion! But, are you prepared for the complexities that come with it? A well-structured business is key to successful expansion, but it's not just about having a solid plan. You need to consider your brand architecture. Brand architecture is the system that ensures your different but inter-related businesses operate smoothly and in harmony, especially when running a group of companies. There are several types of brand architecture, including: 🎯 Branded House 🎯 House of Brands 🎯 Sub-Brand 🎯 Hybrid Brand 🎯 Endorsed Brand 🎯 Masterbrand etc. While the idea of venturing into new markets, and increasing revenue is very important, don't let expansion overwhelm you! Stay solid and focused. Take control of your business growth and sustainability by deploying the right brand architecture. Do agree or disagree? Let's me know your thought.

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has alleged that Nigerians were forced to accept the Coronavirus pandemic. The Kogi state Governor said this at a prayer session for late Nasir Ajana, Kogi chief judge on Tuesday June 30. He insisted that Coronavirus is only out to create fear, panic, reduce and shorten the lifespan of people. Bello who countered claim of the state's Chief Judge dying from Coronavirus, also stated that nothing kills faster than fear. He said at the event; “Whether medical experts and scientists believe it or not, COVID-19 is out to shorten the lifestyle of the people, it is a disease propagated by force for Nigerians to accept. “COVID-9 is only out to create fear, panic – orchestrated to reduce and shorten the lifespan of the people.” Source: https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2020/6/nigerians-were-forced-to-accept-coronavirus-governor-yahaya-bello.html |

Lagos State Health Commissioner, Prof Akin Abayomi, says the youth population in the state gives it an edge in the fight against the pandemic. He said young people do better with the virus and the government would undertake a study on the genetics of this segment of its population. The commissioner, who stated this on Saturday on Channels Television , said no severe case of the virus has been recorded amongst the young population in Lagos. He added that there was no point testing all the young people in the state because they have “ some degrees of resilience ”. He said , “ Looking at where we are today , we see 70 to 80 cases a day and they see thousands in Europe , so something is definitely different here . “ In medicine , you test only when you can do something about the result . We have to have a policy that defines our testing rates. And that policy must fit into our capacity and our strategy. The father of one Junaid Adewale, identified simply as Mr Owenco, allegedly lost his life when suspected members of the One Million Boys terrorised residents of Ijesha in the Surulere area of Lagos State on Saturday. However, the alleged killing is shrouded in confusion as the state police command denied knowledge of the incident. PUNCH Metro gathered that the suspected gang members created tension in the area around 7 pm and allegedly used weapons to attack the residents they encountered on their way. Owenco, who was said to be elderly, was reported to be on his way to a destination, when the crisis suddenly started, but while he was attempting to escape with other residents, he was said to have stumbled and fell to the ground in the process. While trying to get back on his feet, it was learnt that the rampaging hoodlums caught up with Owenco and allegedly dealt several machete blows on him and left him for dead. Afterwards, some good Samaritans reportedly rushed Owenco to a nearby hospital for treatment, but he, however, died on Sunday due to the extent of the injuries he sustained during the attack. In a Facebook post that chronicled the circumstances surrounding Owenco ’s death, Adewale ’s friend, Samuel Salami, explained that the One Million Boys were responsible for the death, adding that the victim ’s remains had been buried. Salami wrote on his Facebook page, “ While the nation is bereaved of President ’s Chief of Staff Abba Kyari, my bosom friend Adewale Junaid lost his Dad in the hands of the notorious 1 Million Boys at Ijesha, Surulere, Lagos. “ The nefarious gang was on rampage on the street at about 7 pm yesterday evening, machete anyone on their way, my friend Dad stumbled and fell to the ground due to old age and before he could stand up, he was caught and machete all over his body. “ He was rushed to the Funto Hospital along Ijesha Road but unfortunately gave up the ghost early this morning due to the multiple machetes cuts all over his body and head. When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, said there was a clash between hoodlums from three areas, but insisted that no death was recorded and confirmed that nine suspects had been arrested. Elkana stated, “ We have Ijesha, Aguda and Itire boys, who had been clashing among themselves. They took advantage of the rumour about the One Million Boys and youths coming out in the name of protecting their areas to attack themselves again, because they share boundaries. When they clashed, we quickly responded and arrested nine suspects. “ We don ’t have the report of anybody killed and I can ’ t speak on what I cannot substantiate. I cannot respond to an online post, because I speak for an organisation and if there is a death recorded and we are aware of it, I will speak on it. “ Yes, there was a clash and we brought it under control and made some arrests; the suspects all confessed to the crime .” Source: https://punchng.com/confusion-over-alleged-killing-of-man-by-lagos-hoodlums/ |
Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Femi Falana, said on Sunday that the greatest tributes the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari ( retd ), could pay to the 19 deceased victims of COVID- 19 in Nigeria, including his former Chief of Staff, the late Abba Kyari, who died on Friday, was for governments at all levels to fix public hospitals . Falana, who said this in a statement, also attributed the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to official hypocrisy, impunity and lack of coordination between the federal and state governments in the efforts to fight the spread of the pandemic in Nigeria. Speaking on the urgent need for public hospitals to be fixed, Falana said the treatment of British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, for COVID- 19 in a public hospital in London should be “a sober lesson” for government officials “who usually spend public funds on medical treatment in foreign medical centres.” Source: https://punchng.com/buharis-greatest-tributes-to-kyari-should-be-fixing-public-hospitals-falana/ |
