I had that same fear.... infact....I started with fixed deposit @7% ....then migrated to Tbills......MMF.....Equity

I first read about MMF from Facebook but didn't bother...I later decided to search for info on Google and landed in Nairaland from there.....

But this thread altimately led me into investing in equity....

Banks dont want to loose money lol. Funny enough they take people’s deposit and do thesame thing they are advising others against.

Fixed deposit and MMF have thesame underlying instruments. Lets say the Bank gets 14% in the market, they keep 7% and offer the customer 7%, whereas the customer could have gotten the entire 14% if they were informed.

I used to think equity is where you put money and wake up and it vanishes. Come to find out there’s even a +|_ 10% daily shield on upside and losses.

I began at the end of January. Enormous profits from Zrosk. Additionally, the market was a little slow this week, but it will soon pick up steam.

Impressive and congrats!!!! Zedcrest now at 50%. It may be an alternative to CSOF.

Meanwhile, my small investment in Zedcrest yesterday brought me same daily returns as my MMF entire capital. Crazy.

I have diversified abit into paramount today too. Next is zrosk.

You can follow the Stockbroking thread for guidance on day trading. There is something around checking the 1st 15 minutes trading session to give you some insight into that day probability.

The guys there are very analytical and good. The only challenge is it can be difficult to keep up with the lots of messages on the thread

Well, i guess im just looking for some action. Wont be using any crazy amout. In my gambling days many years ago, i used to predict draws. At my peak, i predicted 10 football draws in one day.

I feel that intuition is still there and i can bring it to bear in day trading.

Really appreciate. I opened the app already and locate the MMF. Went through all the process but it says I'll transfer the money to another account.. Had to hold on right there. Thought I won't be transferring any amount and it'll just to be to register and that's it... Pls is it how it use to be

Opening the account only is not where investment stops. You mean you Just want to open the account and keep checking it daily for the millions to drop 😁😁

Wow. Q1 is not even over yet. I foresee around 150% Full year. When you brought it up here; it was barely around 20% or so

I just started investing last year in September and am gaining knowledge daily, and I also watch YouTube videos on investment, from youth diversification to pension diversification and how to have a balanced portfolio. Moreover, to beat inflation, equity is a must and will always be my priority.

Any fund manager not updating daily is not doing MMF abeg.

I go through quite a number of uneventful days and sometimes it’s the daily interest that keeps me going. I cant imagine going a full day with no action and no stride towards my wealth plan. It’s just wickedness.

Ontop your money again, you would be getting lean from worries. If not delay in top up, it’s interest backlog or year end backlog. Watch them tell you that other investors have been credited 😡

Risk is thesame people will soon come now. 🤦‍♂️

Compare the earning vs MMF and you see the difference doesn't seem to worth the risk + mind you, you can't remove your money anytime you want without penalty.

It would only make some sense if MMF rates drastically drops very very low

The company can default. Infact the bigger the company, the more the risk of default because they know you cant fight them. Imagine taking someone like Dangote to court. Even the judge will be laughing at you

By the time you factor in monthly compounding which stanbic offers, it will be lower than 5% difference even. Leave your funds where you can sleep well. Must not be stanbic but make sure it’s a company of same caliber. Atleast all them Meristem are still there.

By the time all this fund managers credit your interest, you wont even know which rate they used again 😂😂. You will be told to be patient that other investors have received value and your case is different 😂😂

Yup you right. Most Fixed income investments pays semi annually (twice in a year). I dont know about that of equity. Maybe once a year
