REVEALED: Nigerian Soldiers Involved In Lekki Massacre Took Eight Bodies To Bonny Camp Clinic
The soldiers had on Tuesday night opened fire on the protesters, killing and injuring many of them.

State governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu, that he knew nothing about the killing and maiming of peaceful EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate area of the state by personnel of the Nigerian Army, soldiers involved in the operation have now confirmed that they were actually drafted in for the mission on the request of the governor.

The soldiers also seized and carried away eight corpses of protesters killed at the scene.

The incident triggered widespread violence across Lagos and other parts of the country, leading to the destruction of public properties.

Shortly after the governor declared a round-the-clock curfew in the state that fateful Tuesday, some persons were captured on camera dismantling the CCTV attached to the toll gate, one of the main convergence points for young Nigerians demanding an end to police brutality and state repression.

The soldiers, who were deployed from 65 Battalion, Bonny Camp, Victoria Island, Lagos, told some of the victims’ relatives after dumping them at MRS Hospital that they were sent by Governor Sanwo-Olu.

“They came in two Hilux vans with atleast eight bodies. Some were still alive when they returned. They dumped them at MRS Hospital. They told us clearly that it was Governor Sanwo-Olu that sent them,” a brother to one of the victims, told SaharaReporters.

It was, however, gathered that against widespread belief by members of the public, Brigadier-General Francis Omata didn’t command the soldiers nor was there when shots were fired.

He was said to be at home when the shooting occurred and was shocked when people started calling him that soldiers were at the toll gate attacking protesters.

After rushing to the scene and identifying himself, Omata was able to pull back the soldiers.

It was then he discovered that they were from there 65 Battalion, Bonny Camp, which is headed by Lt Col S. O. Bello.

Please tell the mother to ease up on the beatings. Children learn at different pace.

What you can do is keep letting him watch fun filled educational materials and observe him. Give him a year or two and just be observing to find out where his strength lies. Then work around that.

Having fun while learning is the best way to teach kids don't instill fear in him by beating him. Please be patient with him. This is not the time to panick.

No one way is better. Understand that time is evolving and you the parent should observe your child carefully and apply what works for each child. I see nothing wrong in flogging a child when every other means of instilling discipline fails. And there is nothing also wrong in apologising to a child you disciplined in error.
All these debates are not going to make us better parents if we don't engage the children constructively.
You beat/flog.
You engage the child on why that action had to be taken and how it can be prevented.
You apologise if you were wrong.

Most people that speak against flogging a child are usually not active in the child's life. A parent leaves home when the child is asleep and come back when the child had gone to bed. Sometimes they only interact only on weekends. And trust me, children could be very manipulative. They can put on the best behaviour when they want to impress you and turn into a little monster the next minute.

As a parent pick out the good from both methods and use it to train your child.
It's not a one size fits all approach.

I want to ask a question about something that has been bothering me for a while now.

I don't know if this experience of mine is associated with my introverted nature, or something else which is why I've brought it here to know if anyone else is battling with same problem.

Okay, am the guy who's into web development and programming, and ideas are abound (thanks to my introverted nature). I make 6-figures monthly already from my properties online, I've well taught plans to increase this (at least 95% success rate), but the biggest problem I've experience now is that am too lazy to get working on this projects that need my attention.

So, my question to the house is, do you feel overwhelmed with the tasks ahead and prefer to lie down there browsing through the internet, sit down there thinking, reading that interesting story or perhaps find a way to while away time rather than get working on the job?

You only get the best from me when am challenged. I loose interest in everything easily, it has affected my relationship with my lady badly, academics and business.

Please is there any one else here dealing with commitment issues, have you been able to overcome it, and how did you go about it?

You're not alone on this. I work best under pressure or when I have a deadline to meet.

As a student then, I spent all my time reading novels until a week to exam, then you'll see me reading like crazy. Beginning of every semester, I'd vow to study every day only to get bored before the week is over.

The andrenaline rush has always been my biggest motivation.
As funny as it may sound, I don't panic under pressure. I'm always calm and will still deliver no matter what.

One of the disadvantages of Christianity at the time. The people regarded as osu are just people who devoted themselves and family and future families to the worship of a fetish deity.... mostly due to safety reasons or hunger.

Due to influx of Christianity at the time, those people were therefore declared outcasts. They and their descendants. It's all shades of wrong. Whatever one does in a bid to protect himself, he should not be judged for it. During the civil war, a whole community dedicated themselves to a deity when their community fell to Nigerian soldiers. They shouldn't be judged for it, but they are. Religion is not hypocritical but it turns on the hypocrisy in us.

Christianity didn't declare them as outcasts... it was the hypocrisy in humans that did.

As a matter of fact, most Nigerian Christians will want to distance themselves from people whose families are said to have dedicated themselves to one deity or the other.

Osu has nothing to do with Christianity. It existed before the missionaries came to Igboland.

They are a group of people or families dedicated to serve the gods. This responsibility is passed on down generations. It's like the Levites in the Bible times.
