Blue is the color, football is the game

David Balfe, the composer of the famous 'Blue is the colour' is dead, at the age of 74.

A lot of people may not know about him, but definitely his works are not strange to all, particularly that anthem. One of the best in football.

David Balfe wrote the words and the tunes of Chelsea FC's Anthem In 1972 when Chelsea were preparing for the league one Finals, the song was released to consolidate the event. From there, it became like a slogan in the mouth of everyone.

The family made known of his demise in a news paper publication in Northern times UK on Friday,1st Nov.

He was an epitome of the values shared by the club. Verh much loved by many heart-broken son Lorne confirmed:

"He was a loyal friend and adviser to many. His stories at parties and encouragement to many, will be greatly missed."

There would be a memorial service for him on Nov 9 at Culloden baptist church. Donations are also welcomed at the service

The highlights through out yesterday was that tackle from son heung min and Aurier tackle on Andres Gomes which left the Everton Midfielder with a horrible injury and a broken ankle. Its among the worst we've seen so far in this beautiful game. And looking back, the tackle wasn't worth it. Even the equalizing goal later on for Everton was not worth it, if it could bring back Andre Gomes, said Tosun after the game

Seamus coleman while on international duty with Ireland in a world cup qualifying match against Wales in 2017 broke his leg and fractured his tibia and fibula after being on the receiving end of a hard tackle from Neil Taylor.
He was ruled out for 6 months and after the rehab he missed the world cup and rejoined Everton.

Earlier in his career the french man ruptured his ligaments and fractured his ankled in a games against Sunderland.
8 months after, he was back to the game, but his career never remained the same. He frequently picked up Injuries in quick sucessions which limited his playing time. Most of the Injuries he had was tied to the one he got, that day, in 2006.

Arsenal were cruising, with Edurado da silva being their trigger and marksman that season. They were tipped to win the league,well until Edurado Happened.
It was Arsenal vs Birmingham in 2008 when Martin Taylor delivered that deadly tackle to end Eduardo's season.
Initially, the tackle affected his left Fibiaula, but futher complications lead to him having an open dislocation in his left ankle.

He seems to be on the lips of Arsenal fans lately. Being one of the assistants of Unai Emery and very actively involved in the team, some people are of the opinion that he wouldn’t do bad as a coach should he be given the opportunity.

Though he has no coaching Experience, apart from coachin the Arsenal u-23 side and being an Assitant Coach to Andries Jonker at Wolfsburg, He could salvage something from Arsenal’s dying season. It’s just 12 games played in the EPL and 26 more to go, still very much time to make a change. Would we have another Ole Gunnar or a zidene in Ljungberg??



2)Jose Mourinho

Seeing the special one in Arsenal’s dugout seems unimaginable. A team he has terrorized and heavily criticized in the past. But he’s been Free, after being relieved of his duties by Manchester united. He has also made his intentions of coming back to coaching and win more Titles known to the public. So its just a matter of were would he go??

3)Brendan Rodgers

Who could have believed that Leicester city would sit in the top 4 again in the premier league, after that miraculous triumph in 2016. They were called a season wonder. But here is a man who took charge of the club and has brought them among the big guys in the league this season.

It all boiled down to Mikel Arteta and Unai Emery last year when the decision of who would replace wenger was being made. Arsenal opted for the later, and the Arteta went back to city. Probably because of more experience in winng games and titles.



But as things paned out, taking a risk and a gamble with an unexperienced coach wouldn’t be bad, seeing how their wisdom in getting an experienced man has failed them.

5)Massimiliano Allegri


Massimiliano Allegri who is yet to take a job after leaving Juventus in the summer. The former Ac millan coach has been linked linked with Real Madrid and a return to his former club, AC Milan recently but Arsenal should be able to convince him to join them because of their financial strength and the allure of the Premier League.

They seem to be running riot,the “ole out” chant is becoming vague and after that Marcos Rashford free kick on Wednesday against Chelsea, can we now say that United are back??

After a spell of 4 games without a win, United have won their last three matches in all competition, including a 2-1 win against Chelsea in the round of 16 of the Carabao Cup. They seem to have gotten their rhythm back, but tomorrow, they would have a point to prove to the fans, as they travel to face Bournemouth.


While united are recovering slowly from their bad spell, it’s been the opposite for Bournemouth. They haven’t got a win in their last 3 games, losing 1 and drawing 2, among which were Watford who sits bottom of the table.

Still, both teams has the same point after 10 games, only separated by goal difference, and Bournemouth definitely would like to seize the opportunity to go above the red devils, to 7th on the league. United on the other hand are aiming to catch up with Arsenal, who have been sloppy in recent weeks.


TEAM NEWS

Manchester United

Manchester United have been struck with injury crisis in recent times, having more than 5 of their first team players out on injury. It might have contributed to their poor form and Ole Gunnar Solkjare has confirmed this afternoon that Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford are all doubts for the trip tomorrow after the knock they had on Wednesday. He also added that Paul Pogba is expected to be out till December.



Luke shaw, Matic and would also be out, as they keep on recovering from their injuries. Axel Tuanzebe is still working on his hip problem he got after the Liverpool game, he would join them on the sidelines as well as Eric Baily.

Bournemouth


Dan Gosling could be back for the Cherries. The midfielder has been out since the season started due to a hip injury he got during the summer. It would be pretty straight for them, as there is no Injury concerns for them except David Brooks (ankle) and Junior Stanislas (knee) who are still out.

The kit is based on the traditional Orange and white colours of the promise keepers.


The home kit is made of dark-Orange and Light-orange check, with the Sleeves plain white in colour. It also has a v-neck collar design For convinence and beauty.


Their away kit would be plain white in colour, with orange and white stripes on the sleeves.


The kit was made by owu sports, and they are the first Nigerian Kit makers. Owu sports are also the kit sponsors for a lot of other Nigerian clubs and also from this season, they are in charge of making the balls to be used for the NPFL.
