Blue is the color, football is the game |
Fiwasports.com David Balfe, the composer of the famous 'Blue is the colour' is dead, at the age of 74. A lot of people may not know about him, but definitely his works are not strange to all, particularly that anthem. One of the best in football. David Balfe wrote the words and the tunes of Chelsea FC's Anthem In 1972 when Chelsea were preparing for the league one Finals, the song was released to consolidate the event. From there, it became like a slogan in the mouth of everyone. The family made known of his demise in a news paper publication in Northern times UK on Friday,1st Nov. He was an epitome of the values shared by the club. Verh much loved by many heart-broken son Lorne confirmed: "He was a loyal friend and adviser to many. His stories at parties and encouragement to many, will be greatly missed." There would be a memorial service for him on Nov 9 at Culloden baptist church. Donations are also welcomed at the service Source https://www.fiwasports.com/2019/11/david-balfe-composer-of-famous-blue-is.html

Its among the worst we've seen so far in this beautiful game. And looking back, the tackle wasn't worth it. Even the equalizing goal later on for Everton was not worth it, if it could bring back Andre Gomes, said Tosun after the game . In this Article We take a look at some of the worst fractures and injuries sustained by players over the years. Most Horrific Injuries In Football Semus Coleman Seamus coleman while on international duty with Ireland in a world cup qualifying match against Wales in 2017 broke his leg and fractured his tibia and fibula after being on the receiving end of a hard tackle from Neil Taylor. He was ruled out for 6 months and after the rehab he missed the world cup and rejoined Everton. Henrik Larsson Some met him at Barcelona, others at Celtic. Known very well for his free kick prowess and accuracy. But earlier in his career while playing for Celtic, He broke his leg in a champions league tie against Lyon in 1999. They later lost the match, but the Striker had a Double fracture while trying to tackle Serge Blanc.. There was no complications in the injury, but he had to miss 7 months of action. Djibril Cisse He's one of the players that has played almost in all the Europe's top 5 leagues. But at his prime, Djibril Cisse broke his leg twice in his career. The First came during Liverpools clash with Blackburn back then in 2004. A challenge from both himself and McEveley lead to him fracturing his leg. Also during France world cup friendly against China in the 2006 world cup. This made him miss the world cup and also withheld his tranfer to French side Marseille In two of the occasions he was out for 7 months. Alan Smith In the 2006 Fa cup, when the two most successful English teams met, Manchester United and Liverpool, Alan Smith had a broken leg and a dislocated ankle in the game. People would easily conclude that he's Injury prone and not fit for the game. But that's not true Earlier in his career the french man ruptured his ligaments and fractured his ankled in a games against Sunderland. 8 months after, he was back to the game, but his career never remained the same. He frequently picked up Injuries in quick sucessions which limited his playing time. Most of the Injuries he had was tied to the one he got, that day, in 2006. Eduardo Da Silva Arsenal were cruising, with Edurado da silva being their trigger and marksman that season. They were tipped to win the league, well until Edurado Happened. It was Arsenal vs Birmingham in 2008 when Martin Taylor delivered that deadly tackle to end Eduardo's season. Initially, the tackle affected his left Fibiaula, but futher complications lead to him having an open dislocation in his left ankle. A year later, he returned to the pitch, but what we saw was not the Edurado we used to know Aaron Ramsey Of the list we made here Aaron Ramsey's case is peculiar. Given the fact he's the only person who recovered from a career threatening injury and still reached his peak. The Arsenal midfielder broke his leg when he came off second best in a challenge with Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross in 2010. He spent nine months on the sidelines recovering from the injury before returning to the Gunners squad. He was just 19 when he was injured. Luke Shaw At some point we thought he would never play again after he suffered a double leg break in a champions league game against PSV in 2015. He was out for close to a year, and made his return in a friendly game against wigan. The injury lies now in the past as many have forgotten about it. And hes now being seen as an important figure in the current Manchester United team. Fiwasports.com He would be out for sure, sooner or later, but the question is ‘When would that be? January or summer. Whichever is the case, Arsenal fans has had enough and they want the one whom they once admired to leave the way he came. It’s Emery out, now or never. Who would seceded him and return this team back to Glory? The answer to the question is unknown but in this article I would be talking about top 6 people who could replace Emery Possible Coaches To Replace Emery 1)Freddie Ljungberg He seems to be on the lips of Arsenal fans lately. Being one of the assistants of Unai Emery and very actively involved in the team, some people are of the opinion that he wouldn’t do bad as a coach should he be given the opportunity. Though he has no coaching Experience, apart from coachin the Arsenal u-23 side and being an Assitant Coach to Andries Jonker at Wolfsburg, He could salvage something from Arsenal’s dying season. It’s just 12 games played in the EPL and 26 more to go, still very much time to make a change. Would we have another Ole Gunnar or a zidene in Ljungberg?? 2)Jose Mourinho Seeing the special one in Arsenal’s dugout seems unimaginable. A team he has terrorized and heavily criticized in the past. But he’s been Free, after being relieved of his duties by Manchester united. He has also made his intentions of coming back to coaching and win more Titles known to the public. So its just a matter of were would he go?? He holds the record of winning at least one trophy In any team he has coached, and with Arsenal being in a trophy drought for 3 years now. He would stable things up a bit 3)Brendan Rodgers Who could have believed that Leicester city would sit in the top 4 again in the premier league, after that miraculous triumph in 2016. They were called a season wonder. But here is a man who took charge of the club and has brought them among the big guys in the league this season. He finished the 16/17 season with Celtic undefeated in all domestic matches, winning the treble, a feat not strange to Arsenal fans. A man of his caliber might fit in perfectly at Arsenal, having used low budget teams to achieve much. He’s still at Leicester and with the season just in its early stages, if Emery is to be sacked now, it would be too quick to a[appoint him. But should arsenal choose to endure till the summer, he could be on his way in. 4)Mikel Arteta It all boiled down to Mikel Arteta and Unai Emery last year when the decision of who would replace wenger was being made. Arsenal opted for the later, and the Arteta went back to city. Probably because of more experience in winng games and titles. But as things paned out, taking a risk and a gamble with an unexperienced coach wouldn’t be bad, seeing how their wisdom in getting an experienced man has failed them. Arteta played for arsenal between 2011 and 2016, after which he called his time and joined Pep at city. He would be a familiar figure to the fans and some players left from his side. One of their own, he could follow the path of lampard to move arsenal to the next level. 5)Massimiliano Allegri Massimiliano Allegri who is yet to take a job after leaving Juventus in the summer. The former Ac millan coach has been linked linked with Real Madrid and a return to his former club, AC Milan recently but Arsenal should be able to convince him to join them because of their financial strength and the allure of the Premier League. The Italian won 13 trophies with both Juventus and AC Milan combined and will bring a much needed winning mentality to Arsenal. At Juventus, he had an impressive 70.48 winning percentage! 6)Nagelsmann In February 2016, he became the youngest manager in Bundesliga history. He lived above expectation by helping Hoffenheim to avoid relegation. He made his mark further when surprisingly he took Hoffenhiem to the champions league the following season. Just 32, young and with his own technical way of training his players, should he become Arsenal’s next manger, they would certainly make some progress. He’s been in charge of RB Leipzig who sits 3rd currently in the table, 4 points behind league leaders, Monchenglabach. The German has been a great admirer of attacking football and Arsen wenger. "I like to attack the opponents near their own goal because your own path to the goal is not as long if you get the ball higher up," he said. "I like the way Villarreal play and they have a great way of coaching young players. I also like Barcelona and Arsenal as well as the work of Arsene Wenger." It could be a dream come true for him to be in the Premier league and to manage a team like Arsenal. He loves challenges, and when the challenge to take Arsenal higher comes, we wouldn’t be too surprised to see him go for it. https://www.fiwasports.com/2019/11/he-would-be-out-for-sure-sooner-or.html

Preamble They seem to be running riot, the “ole out” chant is becoming vague and after that Marcos Rashford free kick on Wednesday against Chelsea, can we now say that United are back?? After a spell of 4 games without a win, United have won their last three matches in all competition, including a 2-1 win against Chelsea in the round of 16 of the Carabao Cup. They seem to have gotten their rhythm back, but tomorrow, they would have a point to prove to the fans, as they travel to face Bournemouth. While united are recovering slowly from their bad spell, it’s been the opposite for Bournemouth. They haven’t got a win in their last 3 games, losing 1 and drawing 2, among which were Watford who sits bottom of the table. Still, both teams has the same point after 10 games, only separated by goal difference, and Bournemouth definitely would like to seize the opportunity to go above the red devils, to 7th on the league. United on the other hand are aiming to catch up with Arsenal, who have been sloppy in recent weeks. TEAM NEWS Manchester United Manchester United have been struck with injury crisis in recent times, having more than 5 of their first team players out on injury. It might have contributed to their poor form and Ole Gunnar Solkjare has confirmed this afternoon that Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford are all doubts for the trip tomorrow after the knock they had on Wednesday. He also added that Paul Pogba is expected to be out till December. Luke shaw, Matic and would also be out, as they keep on recovering from their injuries. Axel Tuanzebe is still working on his hip problem he got after the Liverpool game, he would join them on the sidelines as well as Eric Baily. Bournemouth Dan Gosling could be back for the Cherries. The midfielder has been out since the season started due to a hip injury he got during the summer. It would be pretty straight for them, as there is no Injury concerns for them except David Brooks (ankle) and Junior Stanislas (knee) who are still out. PLAYERS TO WATCH Aaron Ramsdale Aaron Ramsdale he has been fantastic, and so far this season the goalie has made 32 saves in 900 minutes, the highest by any keeper in the league. He was Bournemouth’s player of the month for October, conceding just once in 3 matches. He would be instrumental tomorrow afternoon when the red devils pay them a visit. Scott McTominay After a string of impressive performances in recent times, including that screamer against Arsenal, he has been named man Utd player of the month for October. Indeed he has been one of the positives for United lately and the midfielder would be on board to finish off the cherries. It’s now or never for Ole, it hasn’t been a great season so far, but a victory tomorrow would help restore the faith of the fans in him and might give them the necessary momentum to push on. https://www.fiwasports.com/2019/11/manchester-united-vs-afc-bournemouth.html?m=1

Chelsea have confirmed their squad to take on Liverpool and have arrived Istanbul for their UEFA Super Cup Final on Wednesday. After a very poor start to the premier League on Sunday against Manchester United, Frank Lampards men would be looking to bounce back in style tomorrow agaimst Liverpool. However, chelsea would be pleased to have defender, Antonio Rudiger is back in the squad for the first time since going under the knife at the end of last season. The German defender picked up a meniscus injury against Man united at old Trafford in April. he has been at Cobham this summer trying to get back to fitness. That would be a plus to a side who has just lost one if their best defenders to Local rivals on Transfer deadline day. Willian is also back in the Chelsea squad for the first time this season after picking up a knee injury while on international duty for Brazil at the Copa America this summer.
