The answer is NO.... The injustice against igbos will continue, this is why igbos need to come together and demand their exit from Nigeria... This country is finished....

CrimeNigerian Man, 5 Thais Arrested For Over ₦5 Billion Online Romance Scam by iamfraud(op): 1:00pm On Nov 07, 2025
Police have dismantled a major romance scam network run by a Nigerian national and five Thai accomplices, accused of swindling victims out of over 114 million baht.

The arrests were made during Operation Romance 114, led by officers from the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), targeting suspects across Bangkok and Chon Buri.

Police Major General Chanannat Sarathwanphaet, TCSD Commander, confirmed the arrests of Nigerian suspect Ummaduabuchu, also known as Bonsi, his Thai wife Phanita and four others: Warisara, Chalermchai, Kesinee, and Sariya.

The group faces multiple charges, including fraud, conspiracy, computer crimes, money laundering, and impersonation. Police also seized assets valued at over 2.5 million baht, believed to be proceeds from the scam.

According to police, the gang operated by creating fake online personas, usually attractive foreign men, on social media platforms to lure in victims. Once trust was gained, the scammers convinced their targets to transfer large sums of money under false pretences.

“The operation was well-structured, with each suspect playing a distinct role,” said Police Colonel Chitsanupong Waidee, who led the raid.

Ummaduabuchu allegedly coordinated the scheme from overseas, issuing instructions through Phanita. She acted as the local link, arranged bank accounts and oversaw cash transfers.

Warisara and Chalermchai were reportedly paid to withdraw the scammed money in cash and hand it over at agreed locations. The cash was then passed to Ummaduabuchu, who converted it into Nigerian currency.

The funds were allegedly funnelled through the accounts of Chinine Collins, another Nigerian national, and his wife Sariya, with the help of Kesinee. Police said the money was then laundered via cryptocurrency and sent back to Nigeria.

Each handler reportedly received a 3 to 4% commission from the withdrawn amounts, according to KhaoSod.

Only Collins managed to escape before the arrests were made.

“All six suspects confessed during questioning,” said the TCSD, adding that they have been handed over to Division 3 investigators for prosecution.

Police are continuing efforts to track down Collins and are expanding the investigation to hunt other suspects connected to the international scam ring.

Biafra agitator Nnamdi Kanu has finally complied with the directive of the Federal High Court in Abuja to open his defence in the terrorism charges filed against him by the Federal Government.

Kanu, who has long resisted proceeding with his defence, began filing his defence documents on Friday inside the courtroom, in line with an order by Justice James Omotosho.

Following several complaints raised by the defendant, Justice Omotosho directed that the court’s registry be temporarily relocated to the courtroom to allow Kanu complete the filing process without further delay.

Counsel for the Federal Government, Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN), told the court he was prepared to receive the defence documents from Kanu and respond appropriately.

As of the time of filing this report, the defence submission was still ongoing, with the judge standing down proceedings for one hour to allow the process to be completed.

Until now, Kanu had consistently refused to open his defence, arguing that the prosecution must first identify the specific terrorism law he allegedly violated before he could proceed.

The Police have issued a statement on a suspected human trafficking syndicate following the rescue of a 15-year-old Nigerian girl who was trafficked from Nigeria to Ghana for sexual exploitation.

According to the statement from the Western Central Regional Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) in Tarkwa, officers arrested 25-year-old Joy Ogbonna, a Nigerian national, at Aboso near Tarkwa on Monday, November 3, 2025, in connection with the case. Police said the arrest followed a report by the victim’s father, Ogbonno Onuigbo, who disclosed that his daughter went missing in October 2025 in Nigeria.

The teenager later contacted him on October 24, informing him that she had been trafficked and abused in Ghana. Preliminary investigations revealed that a woman identified as Golden Blessing, now on the run, lured the victim from Enugu to Lagos under the pretext of offering her a cleaning job. She later handed the girl over to Joy Ogbonna, who transported her to Tarkwa.

Upon arrival, the suspect allegedly confined the girl in a room, forced her into sex work, and collected the proceeds. A medical report confirmed that the victim was five weeks pregnant at the time of rescue. Police say the suspect, Joy Ogbonna, is currently in custody and will be arraigned before court soon, while efforts are ongoing to arrest her accomplice, Golden Blessing, believed to be hiding in Nigeria.

The Western Central Regional Police Command commended the public for their timely intervention and reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling human trafficking networks and protecting vulnerable persons from all forms of exploitation.
