The Crime Branch sleuths arrested a Nigerian national for alleged possession of cocaine worth around Rs 1 lakh during a late-night raid at Mapusa.

Details shared by the CB reveal the accused, identified as Chinedu Amos alias Victor Igwe (42), presently residing at Baga, was allegedly found in possession of a transparent polythene bag containing white powder suspected to be cocaine, weighing 10.79 gms, valued at Rs 1 lakh approx in the international market. The narcotics were attached under a search and seizure panchanama.

He was produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Mapusa, and the Crime Branch obtained a five-day police remand for further investigation.

Preliminary inquiry has revealed that Amos was previously involved in two NDPS cases in Goa.

We had a productive meeting today with Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer, Barrister @AloyEjimakor, his brother Emmanuel Kanu, Barr. Wisdom Okere, and 10 others who were arrested and brutalized by the Nigeria Police Force for participating in a peaceful #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest at Kuje Prison.

Despite the challenges they face, they are all in high spirits as we push for their release to continue the fight against oppression.

Unfortunately, the @FCT_PoliceNG Command further maltreated them after we parted ways on Monday, by heavily unleashing tear gas against them within their premises before detaining them at the notorious #SARS Abattoir.

Chandigarh Police’s Cyber Crime arrested a Nigerian national, Ifeanyi Christian Ifesinachi, in Delhi for his role in a fake friendship/dating fraud case.

The accused posed as a U.S. citizen named "Stanley" and tricked a Chandigarh resident into transferring ₹6.08 lakh, claiming he was detained at Mumbai Airport and needed money for customs.

Modus operandi:
The accused used fake digital identities (often switching gender personas) to deceive victims across India.

Role
He operated the scam, managed communications, bank accounts, and coordinated withdrawals through associates.

Recoveries:
4 mobile phones (35 active Gmail accounts), 15 SIM cards, 3 debit cards, 5 bank passbooks, 1 expired Nigerian passport.
