@asalimpo, you talking about Naija banks? grin
Bank manager also wants to ride latest cars. Such money getting into their account should be questioned how they got it. But that is not the problem of Naija people, they actually knew how he got the money. He should just settle them on percentage ni. smiley

A friend once told me I have the talent, I was like what talent is that? If only I could invest in their business, I would be rich, and make money more than they do now.

Learning programming these days(not even core programming o) like simple html, css and some queries in PHP. people turned it to something else.

the funniest aspect is that most of the programming involved in this whole business is so basic. Most veritable NL programmers here will cringe in shame when they see the outdated programming logic used by these guys. Yes, i have seen guys make money with these cheap scripts. just last month someone (let me use their parlance) picked N70,000,000 simply phishing a DHL page with ordinary html. not html5 oo grin, just plain old html with all the logic ( CSS, plain old javscript) in one page

Are you serious? 70M? That's weird. I've never heard such amount picked before with ordinary html not even html5. I missed these things man. shocked

Hey guys. I want to buy manual sewing machine. I intend to buy a brand new sewing machine (Butterfly), but some people are advising me to buy fairly/London used machine. They said it'll last, while a brand new sewing machine might not be that strong since the ones being produced now are not that okay .
I'm kinda confused. Which one should I go for? Fairly/London used or brand new sewing machine? Help me out guys
It depends on how trustworthy the seller is. But, I prefer used one or toks which I know its condition and speed. Many sellers are liars.

If you don't know how to fix little problems machines give, I advise you go for the London used. Like Jones or Singer. And make sure it is straight sewing machine.

Sure I still bake for graduation,eids,,walimas n lots more.Tnx
And you didn't read what she said there.
About the free mixing in weddings, according to the level of my knowledge but Allah knows best, the free mixing is not her business unless if she will also be partaking in the free mixing.
Since weddings are Halaal "aslan". Halaal things can be mixed with things that are not permissible, and that doesnt make it Haraam.

It's obvious they can't be all relatives, even there's limit of mixing between relatives like cousins to cousins mixing.

About the birthday, brother, don't follow your whims. I won't discuss this.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Business Of Baking Birthday Cakes And Wedding Dinners In Islam. by iamgenius(m): 5:41am On Jan 29, 2019
^^^ I didn't see anywhere she said she has cancelled the business totally. She only cancelled making it for people she knows would use it for Haraam events such as birthdays.

It's like you selling condoms, and someone came to buy it from you. You don't have to ask whether he or she is married or not before selling for him or her. BUT IF YOU KNOW VERY WELL THE BUYER WILL SURELY USE IT FOR ZINA, THEN IT IS TANTAMOUNT TO HELPING HIM OR HER IN SUCH ACT(ZINA) BY SELLING IT TO HIM.

brother wallahi you don't seem to even understand this thread. Instead of wasting my time, kindly go back and read everything cus you mixing things up. For clarity, she is the one who said she quit her baking business. You and others don't understand anything I posted.

It is you guys that are trying to Haram everything. Go back up and re-read, please

The last part of my post is explaining things to her, when you mentioned that she said she quit the business.

And both parts of my post are telling you that you don't know how rulings are derived. Thanks.

so you don't understand Yoruba anymore?. Gelepawo in this context is pro.stituion. see why I said you people are clueless all the time?. I thought you know what gbelepawo means?.

In broad context however, not all gbelepawo are Haram. Some may be doing legit online business like blogger as source of income. This is fair. This is called Home Base Business. But I thought you understood gbelepawo in this context. We all know what gbelepawo is in Yoruba back in the days. Smh

I didn't have to be explicit for you guys to understand now.

I understood what you said perfectly. Are renting shops to beer palours and churches also under gbelepawo?

Brother, you do not know how scholars derive Islamic rulings. You need to go learn some things about that.
Why will she quit the business because of the free mixing? Is baking cake for those people the source of free mixing? If there's no cake in the event, will there be no free mixing?

It's like being a butcher and the people that came to buy meat from you were to use it for something which is Halaal on its own like naming ceremony or graduation etc. If the buyer then do anything haraam while engaging in something Halaal on its own, there's no blame on the seller.

obviously you are deficient in understanding. Did you read to understand my point or you judt have this irrational hatred for my comment?.

Does this mean anything to you?

Renting your house and renting your shop to gelepawo and alcohol seller is the same Haram thing. Do you think at all?. I know one of you would post without understanding.

You can't discern renting to someone who works away from home from renting to someone who used your space for business. Shaking my head. Do you need educational breakdown here?.

Lack of exposure dey worry you guys.

OK brother, you said :"The only time it becomes Haram is if the tenant is "gbelepawo". you didn't say anything that is Haraam.

Which kind of exposure are you talking about o?

Yes he has,I came across a topic on Islamqa website where Sheikh Abdulmanajjid stated its haram. So I wanted to search deep.I love baking and most of my customers are birthday and wedding celebrants.I know I'm going to loose most of them, but I'm ready to quit before I die feeding on haram.Atleast my heart will be at peace.
May Allah bless me and you. You got the right answer from the website sister. Making cake is not Haraam on its own, but what the cake is made for. You don't have to ask your customers what the cake will be used for.

You're only responsible for that which is apparent to you. If it's for birthday it's totally not good to engage in it since birthday is Haraam on its own. As for the wedding celebration, there is nothing wrong in making cake for them.
And Allah knows best.

Don't talk about what you have little or no knowledge about.

That doesn’t sound like an answer ( no offense to you my friend) it sounds like a deflection, ie. everyone else does it so it’s ok for us. I mean no disrespect to you, but I hope you can see the hypocrisy in this. Everyone who replied to this topic saw the same thing and failed to mention it, and simply accepted things as they are. To me, that screams of hypocrisy and accepting wrong things because they are convienient to us. Which, if you feel as I do, is wrong.

Yes, it's very wrong. Even when I saw it, I thought I was in the wrong section.

I don't get it, what does it matter what the sister wears underneath as long as she wears her jilbaab to cover it. Why should you be interested in what a sister wears beneath her outer garment undecided undecided

It does matter. Will it be appropriate if she wears underwear only and put jilbaab on top?
Why shouldn't we be interested in what could bring my sister to sin? By Allah, I have seen a sister who wears hijab and she had to raise her hands. Wallahi, I couldn't look at her the second time.
There was a sister too who wears full khimaar, and the wind blew up her khimaar, what she wore was very bad.

They both claimed since they have put on their hijab, so they can wear anything they want beneath it.

Some sisters thought covering the clothes with their hijab makes it permissible. You won't want to see what some sisters wear beneath their hijab or khimaar nowadays. They are saddening. May Allah guide us.

kolaxed98:

See im a pessimistic kind of guy.

This thrash u put up there was what I was expecting.

When I said Islam was dragging Yoruba nation backward I could give less crap about hijabhijab,I judrjust mentioned hijab as being one the problems u guys are creating, there are many problems other than hijabhijab, let's leave it at that.

What I did was comparison, I want to ask u about the Muslim Hausa and Igbo Christian as a study.

I was born a Christian but now an atheist,I dont see any need for any stupid religion.

If I like and go to hell, that doesn't concern anybody.

What I'm talking is about comparison.

If u can prove to me in any way the Muslim Hausa u guys worship are better than Christian Igbo u guys don't like the Christian way the Yoruba Christian are running things,

So I ask will u want next generation of Yoruba to be that of Hausa Muslims of terrorism, illiteracy, poverty because I've highlighted how Yorubas were the first in Africa when Christian Yoruba u guys hate were running the Yoruba nation.

Look at Lagos look at nurtw thugs, I'm sure u know 99% of its members are Muslim like u and mc oluomo who are thugs controlled by tinubu another god fearing Muslims controlling thugs, when I pass Lagos and see Yoruba agbero I shake my head and say see what u guys have turned Yoruba nation to.

Look at igbos look at nollywood look at education winning competitions go to our schools here in Ibadan u will even see Igbo's doing well, then I see Hausa u guys worship and just weep, go to beere and all those village looking places in Ibadan with poverty I'm sure u too know Muslims dominate these places, go to Jericho and outskirts of Ibadan and see Christians building houses by themselves without government intervention.

U guys complain hijab this hijab that,is India a Christian country? India?Japan? Korea?

Then without wearing hijab did they die?

Japan india China korea are not Christians countries but their way of life is modelled after the white Christian u guys hate.

If u love Islam so much, throw away your phone don't use a car or plane or ship or watch TV or use loud speaker u guys use and shout allahu Akbar, because u know what? All these were created by this same white Christian u hate.

This Christians basically define how u live now.
Mention one thing Islam created u can't do without evwryday?

Even China that is developing model their way of life from school to law court to wedding to workplace after white Christians u hate.

Now I guys are better than the Chinese.

Note this: in the next twenty years if care is not taken, all professional jobs in south west will be filled by Igbo and south south ppl.

That's a fact whether ur Allah likes it or not.

And no I'm not a Muslim when I was born, wasn't isn't and will not be a Muslim till I die.

Rubbish retrogressive religion

OK brother, I misunderstood you thinking you're a Muslim I shouldn't have replied you like the above.

Well, you being an atheist I understand your point t of view. Get this into your head "WE MUSLIMS DONT HATE ANYBODY EXCEPT THOSE THAT HATE OUR RELIGION AND OUR GOD" It's not proper to hate anybody because he or she hates you and not your religion.

You don't u dersta d our own point if view. Allah didn't guarantee us all the enjoyment of this world for being a Muslim. Because Allah is the Most Merciful, and He gives whoever He wish to give a portion of this world.

You said Islam is taking the Yoruba nations backwards, and you cited an example of the Hijab. I asked you earlier, how does the Hijab take the Yoruba Muslims backward? You also talked about Muslims being thugs and about the Muslims Communities being backward. You are not solving this issue, you are giving baseless comparison and examples. Even if 90% of the Muslim Yorubas you know are thugs, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BLAME ISLAM FOR THEIR THUGGERY? do you have any proof that Islam teaches them to be doing those evil acts?

What you failed to understand is that this worldly achievements can only be achieved through worldly means. If you don't go to school to study Law, you can't become a Lawyer. So don't blame Islam for the backwardness of the worldly matters you experienced among the Muslims.

You're only ranting that Islam is the cause of these things, you failed to think straight. Well, I'm not surprised, atheists are always concerned about the enjoyment of this world only.

You said we should throw away the things produced by non Muslims, we cannt do that. Because we are enjoined not to hate people as long as they don't wage war against our Deen.

Peace.
