The governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido has appointed a former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as the Chancellor of the newly established Jigawa State University. According to the Jigawa State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Haruna Wakili, the appointment of the former president was backed by Section 8 of Jigawa State University Law, 2013 and Section 2 of the second schedule of the law. The commissioner added that Obasanjo was chosen for his contributions to making a modern Nigeria. It would be recalled that Lamido served as Foreign minister of Nigeria, during Obsanjo's second tenure as a democratic President, from 1999 to 2003. |
The England striker joined the club in a €20 million deadline day deal and is keen to make as big an impact in north London as one of his childhood heroes New Arsenal signing Danny Welbeck has revealed that he wants to leave an indelible mark at the Emirates by emulating his "idol" Thierry Henry . The Gunners paid Manchester United €20 million to acquire the England international on transfer deadline day, with Welbeck set to go straight into the first-team following Olivier Giroud’s injury setback. And the 23-year-old has now aired his determination to prove that Arsene Wenger was right to lure him to London. “I loved watching Thierry Henry since I was a little kid,” he tol Arsenal Player . “My two idols are Ryan Giggs and Thierry Henry so to come to the club where he was and had so much success at is something you can look up to and try to stamp your own print on the club. “There's definitely competition and I think once you come to a big club, there is always going to be competition. “Unfortunately there are a couple of injuries at the moment but I think once everyone is fighting fit, everybody will want to be on the pitch scoring goals and that's healthy competition for the squad.” Welbeck also promised to give the fans “100 per cent in every single game” as the Gunners look to mount a title challenge this season. “I play with my heart on my sleeve and I'm always going to give my best," he added. "I'll try to give them so many happy days in the coming future. “I know a lot about Arsenal. I don't think there are many people in England who won't know about Arsenal and what a big club this is. "The stadium is fantastic and the team has got a legendary manager and magnificent players who have also been brought in. “It seems like a family club and that's something that's really enticing. I'm so glad to be here.” Welbeck, who featured in England’s 1-0 win over Norway on Wednesday, could make his Arsenal debut against Manchester City after the international break. |

This interview of Hon. Farouk Adamu Aliyu is a most important document in Nigeria’s developing history. Mr. Aliyu went to the United States to seek the assistance and cooperation of the Obama administration in the arrest of Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. He defended the reasons why he and many Nigerians, myself included believe the accidental President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan should be swiftly arrested for crimes against humanity, support and leadership of terrorism and gross abuse of office. Mr. Aliyu formally presented the submission to the United States government who have the capacity to arrest Goodluck Jonathan, protected by immunity in Nigeria. He expressed that it will be insincere and reckless of the US and international community to continue to ignore the direct leadership, affiliations and coordination of terror by the Nigerian President on the country’s 167 million people. It is noted that a top US think-tank, STRATFOR has informed that Goodluck Jonathan is a Patron of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND terrorist organization responsible for multiple events of terror including oil installation bombings and the 2010 Abuja independence day bombing that left over eight Nigerians dead. Another top US intelligence think-tank, the Council of Foreign Relations in a report[PDF] by Robert I. Rotberg, “THE CENTER FOR PREVENTIVE ACTION: Nigeria Elections and Continuing Challenges,” described Nigeria’s president as notably “compromised,” and his wife, Patience Jonathan as “indicted by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,” a notably “cruel” being for “ordering the fiancée of a prominent Ijaw leader locked-up and turning down all pleas to have her released;” and described her as the “greediest Bayelsa person;” referencing International Herald Tribune of September 11, 2006 and the Vanguard (Lagos), March 31, 2006. Most recently, the Chief of Army Staff of Nigeria for the past four years, General Azubuike Ihejirika was accused of being a top sponsor of Boko Haram terror organization by a chief negotiator hired by Nigeria. These serious allegations further implicate Nigeria's President in terror and treason. source: news24.com |

There are many of them but am only going to list out seven for now. Seriously, some guys can be very annoying at times. Still don't know why many of us indulge in these irritating behaviors 1. Staring at a lady's backside: 90% guys do this. They just can't help turning around whenever a female passes, just to check out her backside. Its very irritating and rude too. Guys pls stop it 2. Calling a girl and saying "I just want to hear your voice": To me this is just dumb! And that's why that girl can never call you. She assumes you don't have a life. Guys, even if you're jobless at d moment, pls find sth to do even if its free a hobby or volunteer work just to fill the time. Than to waste your time wanting to hear a girl's voice. 3. Thanking a lady for accepting their friend request on Facebook: As if they have won gold. Its so annoying and smacks of both desperation and lack of self worth. At worst, you should welcome the person and say that you're looking forward to knowing more about her. Not writing silly stuffs like "Baby thanks for accepting me as your friend". 4. Asking for a girl's number just too early: Many guys feel very fulfilled getting a girl's digits. Guys, there's no big deal in it! You might even end up not calling them at the end of the day. Take your time and let the girl wonder why you aren't rushing to get her digits like most would do. 5.Always wanting to please ladies: I'm not saying its bad to be a gentleman, its just that some guys take it too far. They go against their own morals and ethics just to please a lady. Come on! That she's not all smiles doesn't mean she's unhappy or worried. Some ladies just use these tactics to make you do what you shouldn't do. 6. Giving out large sums of money for s*x: For God's sake guys, you won't die if you don't have sex. Stop acting as if your whole life depends on sex. Some guys would abandon their parents and siblings and be spending large on a girl who hasn't added nothing in his life save for the sex. Guys pls learn! 7. Agreeing to whatever the ladies say in order to become a gentleman: Some guys have earned that reputation of always supporting, liking comments made by ladies not because its true, but because they're ladies. |
