The MD/CEO of Livelihood Homed Limited, Dr Kelly Nwogu, is into the business of selling parcels of land at affordable rates across Nigeria. In a recent interview, he sheds light on how he handles business, what he thinks of the economy, his challenges and more. Read excerpts of the interview below.

What do you think about Nigeria?

Nigeria is a country full of opportunities, a Nation with a population of over 150 million people, where foreign investors visit and doesn’t want to go back, where any product or service can sell. I love Nigeria and I know a lot of people do too. What do you think about the economy? This is a sensitive question to answer at this time because I don’t want to sound political although I am a politician. The answer is that the economy is good enough and can only get better only if individuals and companies are being productive and also investing in the country in order to support the government efforts ,no government can do well without the private sector ,my problem is that there is a great need for government to work with young entrepreneurs to be able to make more progress in their businesses, so that money can move from hand to hand of everybody in the country, so doing these the economy can progress and be better.

What are the challenges you have faced in the last 9 years that you have been running your Real Estate company in Nigeria and other companies?

Challenges can only make us better, God helped me to start Blue sea estates in 2010 with a financial capital of N30k, it was like an impossible task but today we own over 23 estate locations in Nigeria, we have never taken loan from any financial institution and we may never do because of the nature of strategy we have employed, although, the higher we grow, the more the problem of not meeting up with allocating lands to our customers as at when due, sometimes situations beyond our control at a particular time could cause delays but on the long run the angriest of our customers still ends up being the happiest, sometimes customers may become impatient and go to the police or court to seek for a refund of their money or demand that the land be allocated etc . We thank God for how much He has helped us cause we have been able to sail through those hurdles and we can now boast of sorting our customers complaint without going to court and am also using these medium to thank our customers for their patience, support, patronage and understanding over the years.

What would you have to say to young people who want to do business in Nigeria?


The first thing is to pray for directions to know what kind of business God is leading one into because if the purpose of a trade, business or thing is not known abuse is inevitable they say. I own Eight companies in Nigeria and I am running a few now, until I have been able to develop the capacity to do more. The next is to develop a strategy on how to go about it then just do it and keep doing it until you achieve the desired results

Where are your estates and how much are they selling now?

We have Kelly’s Villa in Ajah Lagos State with C of O (Certificate of occupancy) which we sell for N7M Naira outright payment N9M in installments for one year, because of the New year promo, it is now selling for half the price N3.5m outright payment. This is just for few plots anyway, just to make it affordable to the few lucky customers This season.

In Ibeju Lekki It was N1.5m per plot of Land now N750,000 half the price or N950,000 Installments for one year with a deposit of N200,000

The great philanthropist of the century,a great young enterprenuer whom disabled persons described to be as generous as generosity itself, as hospitable as hospitality itself. On the very first day of 2017 as people celebrated the new year.on the 1st of January 2017.all disabled persons in Lagos & Ogun state were packed filled at the national stadium Lagos. Reports from media houses present say’s that the event which took place at the indoor sports hall showed the philanthropic & kind gesture of dr Kelly nwogu md/ceo livelihood homes ltd (owners of blue sea estate int.) & Kelly igberhi {world’s only blind comedian a.k.a Kelly blind}..the disabled persons were given food items,clothes & also mental empowerment.the event also featured other side atractions like para soccer,blind musical band,empowerment scheme e.t.c..the event was well attended by numerous dignitaries but the most touching part of the event when the biological mother of dr Kelly nwogu mounted the podium to speak & the world discovered she was disabled helplessly sitting on a wheel chair as she spoke her only child dr Kelly nwogu could not hold back tears as she talked about her son’s humble beginning &how she managed to bear and raise this great man as a disabled mother.she also prayed that her fellow disabled mothers would bear such children that would touch & impact generations.dr Kelly nwogu also spoke on empowerment as he strategically thought the disables on wealth creation &business investment he particularly highlighted agriculture as he said it was one of the sectors lagging behind.pictures showed below

Its no longer news that tomorrow 1st of january 2017 Dr Kelly Nwogu MD/CEO LivelihoodHomes (owners of Blue sea estates int) & Kelly blind (world’s only blind comedian) would empower all physically challenged persons in lagos financially,mentally & nutritionally.there would also be lots for the disabled to eat &drink.to this effect today 31st a whole trailer load of cow arrived lagos personally donated by the great philanthropist of the century Dr Kelly Nwogu. he was also spotted killing one of the cows by himself been witnessed for the very first time by a blind man his co pioneer in this philantropihical project which happens to be the first of its kind. Dr Kelly Nwogu speaking today promised the national stadium would be agog tomorrow as he would personally sit in the big buses that would go round different locations in Lagos to convey disabled persons to the venue. He further said gifts would be offered to them in cash & kind & also thanked well meaning Nigerians that supported with kindhearted donations . Lets hang out with the disabled and show them support

Comedians Steps out to support Gandoki as he plans to go 48hours more updates coming soon

Nigerian comedian, Gandoki, is set for a milestone in the entertainment industry as he hopes to make the Guinness Book of Records by staging the longest stand-up comedy performance by an individual.

The longest stand-up comedy show by an individual is 40 hours and 8 minutes, and was performed by The Midnight Player, aka David Scott (USA), at the Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa, USA, on 29-30 April 2013.

Gandoki will now attempt to break that record by hosting fans, brand executives and industry colleagues to a 48 hour non-stop comedy performance at an event billed to start on Thursday September 29 and climax on October Saturday 1st, at the Exclusive Mansions Hotel, Opposite Landmark Event Centre, Water Corporation off Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking at a press conference during the week, the ace comedian said he has all it takes to set a new record as he has about 600 topics to talk about during his performance.

Explaining how he will achieve such, Gandoki said; “I’m doing this just to showcase Nigerians to the World that we are happy people. Also I’m doing it for my Niger Delta brothers that we still have talents. I have over 600 topics to talk about. Pastors do more than four hours at a time. Though passion is not enough and physical strength is also important. So right now I’m going through some physical training and also strengthen myself on how to deal with my sleep.

If you stay awake for that long, it will start itching you and I’ve tried that before. So I’m working towards it and I want the whole world to support me.”
