You can get temperature data from several sources online, but you will have to state in your own write-up where you got the data from? If its raw data that has real time values, measurements, etc; you have to declare where you copied it from, give credibility to whom credibility is due.

Nobody will crucify you for the above. If you on the other hand present your article without sources, what you are telling the world is that you went to those places, got / measured those temperature datas yourself, which is not correct.

In the analysis of the data, if you have to copy someone else's analysis, you can, but must definitely state your sources. The assumption is that your source is more of an expert at the analysis than you are. You can then make your own comments on the analysis you have quoted - this adds more value to your own reputation.
