Thank you for reading the article, I am very sure it blessed you, everything complained was addressed there and I wish everyone of us quick growth
Fenrir:
How come you never mention all the sexual assault during the civil war?

I actually interviewed the women and girls that lived through it

Where the men at the time in fairly safe areas used it as an excuse to pin innocent women and girls down to violate them

Even now in today's world followers of a particular religious beliefs are rounding up innocent women and girls in the hundreds daily and doing it

And you preach god this and god that
Instead of stopping it, you have pastors in churches blessing money that they know was gained through criminal activity and abuse in return for a share and its not even about religion to those pastors its a business

There is no real religion in Nigeria at all not one scrap of it and fella we all know those that preach the loudest and point fingers are the ones with the darkest secrets
Christianity EtcDoes God Tempt People? by iamteegee(op): 10:11pm On Aug 27, 2025
Does God Tempt People?

In the book of James, many Jewish believers were facing tough challenges, persecutions, hardships, and trials. They assumed these challenges came from God. But James corrected them: “Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am tempted by God’; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone” (James 1:13).

This is still a problem today. Many think sickness is God’s will, or that death and hardship are God’s way of humbling or punishing them. Some even rejoice when others suffer, believing it is God “serving them what they deserve.” But this is far from the gospel truth.

The same God who makes the sun shine on both the godly and ungodly… the same God who sends the rain to bless both righteous and unrighteous… the same God who, while we were yet sinners and even His enemies, died for us in Christ, this God is not the author of evil. He took our sickness, sin, and death upon Himself by grace.

Religion paints God as a harsh punisher, but Jesus revealed His true character.

So Where Does Temptation Come From?

James 1:14 explains: “Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.”

Temptation is not from God. It is the product of our own desires, which the enemy may exploit as bait. Think of a fisherman, he places what the fish desires most on the hook. The fish is not forced; it is lured by its own appetite.

The same happened with Eve. The serpent did not go to Adam first but to Eve, because of her desires. Eve longed for companionship. Adam may have been busy tending the garden and naming animals, while Eve desired more intimacy. The serpent seized this opportunity.

He began subtly: “Has God indeed said you shall not eat of every tree?” Once Eve responded, the enemy introduced another layer “You will be like God, knowing good and evil.” At that point, Eve desired wisdom, perhaps even superiority over Adam, her desires was no longer to Adam, tho not directly she wanted more than what Adam have, In giving in, her desires were exploited, if her desires were granted by partaking of that knowledge was successful, she might not have given her husband to eat but since it didn't work, she gave it to the man to see if there would be changed and yes Adam partaking was what unlocked the knowledge. That is why part of her judgment was: “Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you” (Genesis 3:16). Discuss your desires with your partner's so you both can work together to achieve it.

Jesus Also Faced Desire-Based Temptation

When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, Satan appealed to His human desires:

1. Hunger – “Turn these stones into bread.”
2. Identity – “If you are the Son of God…”
3. Purpose/Glory – “All this will I give You if You bow down.”

These desires are still used today to bait us but unlike Adam and Eve, Jesus did not yield. He overcame, not by suppressing desire, but by keeping His will aligned with God’s Word and walking in the Spirit.

The Danger of Untamed Desires

Desires in themselves are not evil. The problem is when they are uncontrolled or pursued outside of God’s design. Lack of contentment and self-control has ruined many lives.

Some go as far as rituals, sacrificing loved ones for wealth.

Others fall into perversion, adultery, or betrayal to satisfy cravings.

Entire destinies have been destroyed because of uncontrolled appetite etc

James 1:15 warns: “When desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.”

The devil did not create sin or death, humanity’s own desires acted upon outside of God’s will brought destruction into the world.

The Good News

Every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights (James 1:17). God does not tempt with evil, sickness, or death or hardship etc. Instead, He gives life, blessing, healing, and victory in Christ.

When we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfill the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). Not because desires are bad, but because the Spirit teaches us the right way to satisfy them.

Untamed desires destroy, but Spirit-led desires build. Look to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.

Stunted Growth: A Spiritual Analogy

During the Nigeria civil war, history records that millions of people especially children died not just from bullets, but from malnutrition. One of the tragic effects of malnutrition is stunted growth. In such cases, the body grows in imbalance: certain parts become oversized while others remain underdeveloped. Often, the legs are too weak to carry the upper body because the growth was not nourished in balance.

This physical reality paints a vivid picture of what also happens in the spiritual life of many believers.

When we are born again, it is our spirit that experiences immediate regeneration. We become “one spirit with the Lord” (1 Corinthians 6:17). The Spirit is fully saved, perfected, and sealed. However, the soul our mind, will, intellect, and emotions still needs renewal and growth. The soul interprets what the Spirit receives from God and translates it into understanding, action, and expression.

This is why the written Word is so important: it is given to us for the renewal and growth of the mind (Romans 12:2; John 15:3). When the mind is not renewed, the believer experiences imbalance, spiritual stunted growth. The Spirit may be full of light, but the untrained or malnourished mind cannot properly express that light, peace is not the absence of chaos but the state of a mind renewed and growing.

The Gallon Illustration
Imagine holding two empty gallons:

One gallon is clean. You pour in fresh water (symbolizing inspiration from the Spirit). When you pour it out, it comes out pure.

The other gallon is dirty, containing oil and particles. When you pour the same fresh water into it, what comes out is polluted, mixed with dirt.

The water (divine inspiration) is the same, but the vessel (the mind) determines the quality of what flows out.

In the same way, when a believer’s mind is unrenewed, their expressions of God’s Spirit are often polluted leading to distorted doctrines, fear-based preaching, condemnation messages, doom prophecies, and confusing interpretations. This is the root cause of many factions and strange practices in Christianity today.

Why Growth Matters

You cannot live in the New Covenant and yet remain ignorant of it. A stunted mind will convince a believer that Christ in them is not enough. It will make them believe that the kingdom of darkness still has power over them, even though Christ has already delivered them.

When believers fail to grow in the knowledge of Christ and in the renewal of their minds, they often act out of imbalance doing regrettable things and missing the fullness of God’s glory in them.

Nations and Nourished Minds

The same principle applies to nations. The reason some nations progress while others remain stagnant is not merely resources but mind nourishment. Where minds are robust, creative, and renewed, progress becomes natural. People can rebuild, innovate, transform, and bring beauty out of brokenness even in their darkest moments.

The Call to Mind Renewal

Believers today must embrace mind renewal as essential. A nourished, renewed mind aligns with the regenerated spirit, and together they bring the body into harmony. This unity spirit, soul, and body reveals the glory of God in fullness.

The world is dark, but God’s light has already shone upon us. If we allow our minds to remain stunted, we dim that light. But if we renew our minds through the Word, godly teachings, and intentional growth, we bring creative innovations, ideas, then Christ in us shines brightly, and we become true blessings to the world.

Final Siblings
Stunted growth is not God’s design for His children. His desire is that we grow holistically, spirit, soul, and body in perfect alignment, expressing the glory of Christ within us to the fullest. Read books, read edifying articles, surround yourself with people that are positive minded, be intentional about your growth.

Christianity EtcGaining Mastery Over Voices by iamteegee(op): 10:55pm On Aug 25, 2025
Gaining Mastery Over Voices

Since the creation story in Genesis 1, we saw that the earth was in a state of confusion and darkness was on the face of the earth. Confusion is a voice. Darkness has voices. But the Spirit of God moved over this state and over those many voices to bring order, until everything bowed to the superior Voice. God declared, “Let there be light.” That light is Christ, the Word and the true Voice. Everything in creation yielded to this Voice that formed the earth.

Gaining mastery over voices is a skill every believer must master.

We saw in the garden that what led to the fall of man, and the resulting fallen world, was because Adam and Eve could not master and follow the true Voice. God had spoken: “Do not partake of the knowledge of good and evil.” But in that moment, there were many voices: God had a voice. Man had a voice. The woman had a voice. The animals had a voice. The serpent also had a voice.

Despite God’s Word, and even her husband’s word, Eve started listening to the voice of the serpent. Then she started listening to the voice of her own mind: “Oh, this knowledge is so beautiful. I want to be like God. Maybe I would become God’s wife and not Adam’s wife. Women naturally love men that are in charge, and after all it’s not bad to be called the boss’s wife.” Hence when God punished her, the judgment was: “Your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over you.” She had been desiring to rule over her husband, as if she could be the wife of God.

The ground was cursed for Adam because he also could not master the true Voice, but instead followed the voice of his wife.

The same thing happened to Jesus. He was surrounded by lots of voices: voices from people wishing Him evil, voices insulting Him, calling Him a child born from fornication, calling His mother a LovePeddler. Then came the serpent’s voice:

“If truly You are the Son of God, turn these stones into bread.” In other words: How can You be God in flesh, yet hungry?

“Throw Yourself down, for it is written the angels will catch You.” In other words: Why do You look so helpless when God has given His angels charge over You?

“Bow down and worship me, and I will give You wealth and glory.” In other words: How can You claim to be God in flesh yet be poor, rejected by Your own people?

These are voices that can make a person doubt their identity, doubt their assignment, and doubt God’s plan.

But Jesus, having gained mastery over voices, was never silent. He kept answering until the devil left. This is the key: when voices keep speaking and you remain silent, it means you are considering them. Let me paint a picture: when a man is wooing a lady, and he keeps talking while the lady keeps listening without silencing him, it means she is considering the man, weighing her options. So also, when voices keep speaking and we keep silent, it means we are weighing them.

Jesus resisted the devil by speaking the Word. And Scripture confirms: “Resist the devil [his voice] and he will flee from you.”

The Many Voices Around Us

In our world today, we have many voices waiting to devour us the moment we act on them:

The voice of fear.

The voice of doubt.

The voice of confusion.

The voice of darkness.

The voice of condemnation.

The voice of your past.

The voice of your current situation.

The voice of parents, husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, friends, strangers.

The voice of demons.

The voice that makes you feel you have spiritual problems.

But Jesus said in John 10 that “the voice of strangers they will not follow.”

God expects us to gain mastery of voices. He said His sheep know His voice. It is like a child, when called by different women, including his mother, the child will always recognize his mother’s voice among the other compelling voices.

We need this mastery, because the devil goes about like a roaring lion, seeking those who listen to every voice so he can devour them. No matter who it is, pastor, bishop, pope, spouse, parent, friend, if they speak contrary voices, you must not remain silent. Silence the voice. You don’t owe loyalty to such voices.

The more you keep quiet, the greater the danger it poses to you. Those voices will begin to control your happiness, your mood, and even your destiny. You become a slave to them, depressed, feeling like you are taking one step forward and ten steps backwards. You begin to feel delays, or think demons are after you. This is why many Christians live in fear and constantly run for deliverance.

But voices that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God are not meant to be entertained, they must be silenced.

Mastering the True Voice

It is not that there is no darkness in the world. But light (the Voice, the Word) shines and prevails, and darkness (voices, words) cannot overcome it. Yet today, it looks like darkness has already overcome many believers, not because darkness is stronger, but because they have not mastered the true Voice.

How can we shine light to the world when we struggle to shine light in our own minds?

There is no one in Scripture who didn’t face challenges, not even Jesus, not the apostles, not Joshua. But God doesn’t teach us to think about the problem, because those voices can pull us down. Instead, God commanded Joshua to think on the Word (the true Voice) and let it not depart from his mouth daily. Paul, faced with many challenges, taught us how to think in Philippians 4: “Think on what is good, what is worthy of praise.”

Finally, Isaiah 54:17 says: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment YOU shall condemn.” Notice, it does not say God will condemn it. You must silence those voices. You must condemn those voices. You must avoid people and things that bring those voices.

For this is your heritage in Christ. His righteousness has gone before you. But you must gain mastery or you will become a slave to voices.

Finally Siblings
The battle of life is the battle of voices, even tho won already in Christ .

Which voice will you follow?

Which voice will you silence?

Which voice will rule your heart?

Jesus has shown us the way. As His sheep, we know His Voice. Every other voice must be silenced.

Christianity EtcMysteries And Revelation Part 2 by iamteegee(op): 11:39pm On Aug 24, 2025
Mysteries and Revelation (Part 2)

We have been bringing clarity to words and scriptures that have long been misinterpreted, just like in the days of Jesus when the teachers of the law presented shadows but missed the substance.

The Old Testament was a mystery, and even today many still lack true understanding of the Bible they preach. They know verses but not the God those verses reveal. Jesus Himself rejoiced and said: “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes” (Matthew 11:25).

Mysteries are not revealed by intellect but by the Spirit. Revelation comes not to the proud but to the humble who depend on God’s grace.

Is Grace a New Teaching?

Some call Grace a “new generational message, hyper grace,” but the truth is that Grace has always been the only message since creation. From Genesis, Grace was there in mystery; in the New Testament, Grace was unveiled; and today, Grace remains the same gospel.

To understand this, let us turn to Hebrews 11, but first, let us look at its context.

Why Hebrews Was Written?

The book of Hebrews was written to Jewish believers who were conflicted and persecuted. Their families and traditions pressured them to return to rituals, sacrifices, and external purification. They were told Christ was not enough(some christains still behaves this way). By yielding to such thinking, they were in danger of insulting the Spirit of Grace (Hebrews 10:29).

The writer therefore shows them:

Jesus is not a new idea.

Jesus did not suddenly appear from nowhere.

The Old Testament was a mystery, and its shadows pointed to Him.

This is why Jesus said in John 14:1: “You believe in God, believe also in Me.” Again, in John 8:56, He said: “Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” Yet the Jews were offended, because even though they read the same Scriptures, they could not see Christ in them. When they mocked Him saying, “You are not yet fifty years old,” Jesus answered: “Before Abraham was, I AM.”

So Hebrews is showing the conflicted Jews that Christ is the Ancient One revealed in flesh. The writer points them even to Jeremiah 31:31-35, where the New Covenant was already promised.

Faith in Hebrews 11

Verse 1 Substance and Evidence

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

The elders of old saw Christ in mystery. They believed the gospel even though it was not yet revealed. Abraham’s faith was counted for righteousness because he saw Christ’s day and rejoiced.

“Substance” means something tangible. For them, it was symbolic actions and sacrifices pointing to Christ. “Things hoped for” was the revelation of God in the flesh. What was unseen to them is now revealed to us.

Verse 2 Elders Obtained a Good Report

The elders were declared righteous by this faith in Christ. In other words, they too were Christians in shadow form.

Verse 3 Christ the Creator

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, Christ Himself (John 1:1-3). Jesus is not a new theory; He is the eternal Creator now revealed in flesh.

Verse 4 Abel and Cain

As a young boy I wondered why God accepted Abel’s offering but rejected Cain’s. Some said Cain’s fruits were spoilt, but that is not true. The mystery is in Christ:

Abel, persuaded by faith in the unseen, brought a lamb (substance), the firstborn, representing Christ the Lamb to be slain. His sacrifice was excellent because it testified of Christ’s mercy and finished work.

Cain brought the fruits of his labor. It symbolized human effort and self righteousness. But salvation is not of works, lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:9).

Even today, many still make Cain’s mistake, trying to preserve by works, morals what they could never earn by works nor morals.

Verse 5 Enoch

What made Enoch’s walk with God different? It was not works, for no one was ever made righteous by works. Enoch heard the gospel, saw Christ in mystery, and believed.

The work of the Father is that we believe in Jesus (John 6:29). By faith we are justified and made at peace with God (Romans 5:1). Enoch pleased God because he believed. The substance of his faith was that he passed from death to life. And so it is today, everyone who believes in Jesus has crossed from death to life (John 5:24).

Verse 6 Without Faith

“Without faith it is impossible to please God.”

People think they can please God with offerings, seeds, good deeds, religious activities, or morals. But Scripture says man’s righteousness is as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).

What pleases God is faith in His Son. And God, being a rewarder, has rewarded our faith in Christ with eternal life, salvation, and eternal security.

Verse 7 Noah

Noah, warned of unseen things, believed the gospel. By faith he built the ark, the substance of things hoped for. That ark was a shadow of Christ. All who entered the ark were preserved; all outside perished.

So it is today: “Whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, 18).

Verse 31 Rahab the Harlot

Rahab, a known prostitute, became righteous by faith. She heard of the God of Israel, believed, and acted. The scarlet cord in her house was a symbol of the blood of Christ that cleanses from sin.

A gentile woman, despised by men, was saved by Grace.

Finally Siblings

From Abel to Abraham, from Enoch to Rahab, the testimony is the same: the gospel of Grace is the oldest and only true gospel.

The Old Testament was mystery; the New Testament is revelation. The patriarchs believed in shadows; we see in fullness. Grace is not new, it is eternal.

Let us therefore not be like the Jews who read the Scriptures yet missed Christ standing before them. Let us see clearly:
Jesus is Grace revealed, the same yesterday, today, and forever. You might be angry and call it hyper but it is what it is Beloved. Grace doesn't look fare, it's unmerited but that's why it's called Grace. Believe it today and don't mix it with works, God is pleased by faith not your religious mindset.

Christianity EtcMysteries And Revelation by iamteegee(op): 6:01am On Aug 24, 2025
Mysteries and Revelation

When I was in secondary school, one of my teachers, an imam once stormed into our class like someone about to apprehend a thief. He faced us Christians directly and began pointing out what he called “contradictions” in the Bible.

We were young and naïve, unable to respond. Even worse, many of the preachers we listened to in church could not give us answers either. Because of this, we grew up believing there were contradictions in the Bible. This has left many people vulnerable to doubts, with some turning atheist, others losing interest in God, and many mocking the Scriptures online. Sadly, even mainstream preachers who passionately quote the Bible often do not understand the bible they preach nor the God they claim to love.

But here’s the truth: the Bible is not full of contradictions, it is full of mysteries and revelations.

The Bible: Mystery and Revelation

Jesus Himself faced the same issue in His time. The teachers of the Law were ready to kill for their traditions, scriptures, yet they did not understand what they defended. That is why Jesus told them in John 5:39-40:

“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.”

The Old Testament was written as a mystery. Every story, every ritual, every shadow pointed to Christ but without revelation, the more they read, the less they saw. They searched the Scriptures hoping to find eternal life, yet missed the One those Scriptures were speaking about.

This is why the Bible says: “The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” (2 Corinthians 3:6). Without the Spirit unveiling Christ, reading the Bible becomes confusing. But when the Spirit opens our eyes, we see that every page whispers His name.

From Mystery to Revelation

1. Genesis 1:2–3 The Light Revealed
The creation story holds a powerful mystery. In Genesis 1:2, the earth was without form and void, confusion and darkness covered everything. Then the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. In verse 3, God said, “Let there be light.”

That light was not the sun or moon (they were created later). The light was Christ Himself. John 1 explains: “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.” the true light.

Just as the Spirit brooded over the chaotic earth and brought forth light, the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary in a confused, sinful world and conceived Jesus, the true Light. This Light has shone, and darkness cannot overcome it. In Christ, God separated light from darkness, and He was pleased.

2. Isaiah 58 – The Fast God Has Chosen
Religious people without revelation always misinterpret Scripture. Every new year, many churches rush into fasting programs, quoting Isaiah 58: “Is this not the fast I have chosen…?” They turn it into a rule for abstaining from food or punishing the body.

But let us look deeper: Isaiah was not commanding ritual fasting. He was addressing Israel in their hypocrisy, fasting, wearing sackcloth, afflicting themselves outwardly, but with a stony heart full of sin. God said: “That is not the fast I chose.”

What then is the fast God has chosen? Remember: the Old Testament was a shadow. The reality is Christ.

“To loose the bands of wickedness” Christ came to set men free from the wickedness of sin and darkness (John 10:10).

“To undo the heavy burdens” The heavy burden is sin. Christ carried it and gave us His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:17, 21), mathew11:28

“To let the oppressed go free” Every oppressed person was healed and delivered by Christ (Matthew 8:16).

“To break every yoke” By the anointing in Him, yokes are destroyed (Isaiah 10:27) that anointing is the Spirit in us through Jesus.

“To share bread with the hungry” Christ is the Bread of Life (John 6:35). Blessed are those who are hungry for they shall be filled

“To cover the naked” Christ covered our unclothedness with His garment of righteousness (Isaiah 61:10), 2cor5:21

“Not to hide yourself from your own flesh” → Christ loved us while we were still sinners, never turning away (Romans 5:cool.

The true fast is not religious activity, it is Jesus Christ Himself.

That is why Isaiah 58:8 becomes powerful when read through Him:

“Then your light shall break forth like the morning” Jesus, the Light of the world, shines in us.

“Your healing shall spring forth speedily” By His stripes, healing and wholeness are ours.

“Your righteousness shall go before you” We are the righteousness of God in Christ, not by works but by His finished work.

“The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard” His glory now dwells in us (John 17:22).

Why This Matters

Many who once stumbled at “contradictions” did so because they read mystery without revelation. The Old Testament is mystery; the New Testament is revelation. Without Christ, the Scriptures remain locked. With Christ, the veil is removed, and the truth is unveiled.

This is why Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:1: “Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.” The apostles were not called to preach confusion, but to unveil mysteries, bringing clarity in Christ.

Finally Siblings

The Bible is not a book of contradictions, it is a book of mysteries revealed in Christ.

The Old Testament is shadow; the New Testament is substance.

The letter kills, but the Spirit reveals Jesus, the true meaning of Scripture.

The true Light has come, the true Fast is Christ, the true Righteousness is His gift, the true Glory is now in us.

Jesus is the puzzle solved, the mystery revealed, the contradiction cleared, and the revelation made plain.

In Him, the Scriptures make sense. In Him, we find life. This is found in Christ and not in fasting religiously

Christianity EtcWhat Is Sound Doctrine? by iamteegee(op): 10:24pm On Aug 22, 2025
What is Sound Doctrine?

Many people today define sound doctrine differently, but the Bible itself shows us what it truly means. The word used is hugaino in Greek, which means hygiene, healthy teaching, life-giving teaching.

Sound doctrine is not about rigid rules or traditions, it is about the message that gives life, keeps believers healthy in faith, and points us consistently to Christ.

It is:
Christ-centered (2 Corinthians 4:5) preaching Christ and not ourselves.

Grace-based (Ephesians 2:8–9) salvation and the Christian life rest on grace, not human effort.

Life-giving (1 Timothy 1:5) producing faith, hope, love, and peace.

Consistent with the Scriptures (Acts 20:27) aligning with the whole counsel of God’s Word, not twisting isolated verses out of context.

Why Paul Emphasized Sound Doctrine

You would wonder, why was Apostle Paul emphasizing so much on sound doctrine?
It was because of the rise of false teachers, Judaizers, Gnostics, and most especially legalistic people who were mixing law with grace.

Sound doctrine became the safeguard of the church, ensuring that believers did not drift back into bondage under law or deception through false teachings.

Signs of Unsound Doctrine

Whenever teaching departs from Christ and His finished work, it produces:

Fear, guilt, and condemnation for believers.

A shift of focus from Christ to self-effort, rituals, and laws.

A distorted picture of God making Him appear harsh, unpredictable, and distant.

How Legalism Redefines “Sound Doctrine”

Legalistic people often redefine sound doctrine through the lens of rules, laws, and human effort. Their version of “doctrine” is not life-giving, but burdensome. Some common examples are:

1. Doctrinal policing instead of life-giving truth
They make outward practices like dress code, church traditions, dos and don’ts, the test of spirituality. They use these as tools to test loyalty to their denomination instead of pointing people to Christ.

2. Moral performance instead of Christ’s finished works

“You have to behave well so God will accept you.”

“If you haven’t fasted for these days, you’re not serious.”

“Before you can walk in power, you must fast and pray for 5 years nonstop.”

“If you don’t pay your tithe, demons will attack your health and finances.”

“If you don’t sow dangerous seeds, God won’t bless you.”

Many even sell oil, water, stones, and other objects as “anointed.” They condemn “worldliness” yet use worldly systems to manipulate.

3. Fear-based control

“If you don’t live morally right, God will abandon you.”

“Generational curses and ancestral spirits will destroy you.”

“Enemies from your father’s house are behind your struggles.”

“Spirit spouses and evil altars are holding you down.”

“If you make a mistake, God won’t talk to you again.”

These teachings place believers under guilt, making them run away from God instead of drawing near.

4. Exclusivity instead of Christ’s sufficiency
They claim only their group has the truth. They measure holiness by outward appearances such as forbidding wigs, trousers for ladies, or makeup, earrings, beard, dreads etc Anyone outside their system is branded worldly.

5. Old Covenant mindset instead of New Covenant reality
They preach as though Jesus never died and rose again. Their message is Moses + Jesus + law + mixed grace + works. But Paul rebuked this strongly and even declared a curse on anyone even angels who preach another gospel apart from grace (Galatians 1:cool.

6. Religious duty instead of righteousness by faith
For them, righteousness is earned, kept, and proven by performance. Paul was accused of being “loose” because he preached grace, but it is actually these legalistic teachers who pollute the gospel.

Paul’s Instruction to Titus and Timothy

In Titus 1, Paul appointed Titus to oversee the young church in Crete and to raise elders grounded in sound doctrine the gospel of grace.

He warned that:

“Their mouths must be stopped” (Titus 1:11).
Not by fighting or force, but by upholding and preaching the gospel until people’s eyes are opened. When believers stop falling for deception, false teachers lose their influence.

These teachers “subvert whole houses.”
Imagine a pastor telling a husband that his wife is behind his problems. Or telling a woman her mother-in-law is the cause of her childlessness. Some even command couples to abstain from intimacy during fasts or prayers. These teachings ruin homes and relationships.

They teach “things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.” In other words, they do it for money exploiting people by instilling fear.

Paul also warned Timothy that many will have “itching ears” (2 Timothy 4:3). They will run after teachings that excite emotions, that they can loose their salvation, appeal to cultural fears, or promise quick fixes but avoid the true doctrine of grace because they feel grace is too easy so they want to work for it, the hard part.

The True Doctrine

Sound doctrine is not Moses + Jesus + law + works.
It is not fear-driven manipulation.
It is not rituals and religious duties.

Sound doctrine is Christ alone, the finished works.

It is the grace of God, the rest we have in Christ, and the transformation that flows from our identity in Him. It produces faith, love, peace, and hope not fear, guilt, and condemnation.

This is what the apostles labored, fought, and defended: the gospel of grace, the finished work of Christ.

In conclusion siblings
Sound doctrine is healthy teaching, it is Christ-centered, grace-filled, and life-giving. Unsound doctrine enslaves, condemns, and destroys, but sound doctrine heals, frees, and transforms. To hold firmly to sound doctrine is to hold firmly to Jesus Himself.

You missed the point of john14:16, the point is that God never leaves, you saw it there, I can still go further but I will leave you to do the research.... God the father, son and Spirit is one, God decided to appear in those 3 form for the redemption of man
gohf:
John 14:16 you quoted where John records Jesus telling us to ask the Father for the Holy Spirit and clearly shows the distinction between the Holy Spirit and the Father who sends the Spirit.

So to answer your question Yes, God is different from His Spirit, for His Spirit lives in his children while He, God, dwells above the heavens.

The promise was to give us the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God that is from God

Please read john14:16 and see what Jesus said about the Spirit and is God different from His Spirit?
gohf:
I agree with what you have written except your disbelief that God could leave a person. Well not God but the spirit of God can indeed leave a person, and that is true.

Though you don't have to walk on eggshells because of that, due to being afraid of making mistakes because if any sins they can repent and ask God for forgiveness and He is faithful and just to forgive.

Well but we also have to be careful and watchful because there are deeds, sins, mistakes that lead to death, that remove a person from abiding in Christ. So we are advised through the letters not to be careless in the name of being carefree because there's an enemy seeking for whom to destroy.

The grace of God keeps us from living in sin.
Christianity EtcUnanswered Prayers by iamteegee(op): 10:36pm On Aug 21, 2025
UNANSWERED PRAYERS

Grace can be multiplied in our lives, grace to get things done, grace to finish what we started, grace for all things. Likewise, peace can be multiplied. But peace is not the absence of challenges; rather it is the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. It is peace in the midst of chaos.

Just like Jesus sleeping in the boat during the storm, His peace wasn’t because there was no storm, but because He knew better that He was always going to overcome. The greater grace was at work in Him: the power to silence the storm or to pass through the fire untouched, and still emerge victorious.

Many times we feel like God has not answered our prayers. We say, “God, where are You? See all I am going through!” Yet we still find ourselves in those situations. But the truth is this: it is in the knowledge of Christ that both grace and peace are multiplied. Without this knowledge, we feel restless, angry at God, even depressed or suicidal. But in 2 Peter 1:3, Scripture says:

“According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness.”

Notice the tense, it has already been given! There is nothing new God is doing. He is not preparing another provision, not making new promises. All things have been fulfilled in Christ.

From the very beginning, God already made provision for redemption. In Genesis 1:3, when God said, “Let there be light,” that light pointed to Christ, the true Light that lights every man. In Genesis 1:4, God was pleased with the light and separated it from darkness. Even before the fall, God had already set redemption in motion, because Christ was crucified before the foundation of the world.

In Genesis 3, God declared that the seed of the woman would crush the serpent (the deceiver, the father of lies). From then, the seed was carried from Abraham, to Jacob, to Judah, to David until Christ came. Yet, while some Jews are still waiting for the Messiah’s first coming, many others have already seen Him and now await His second.

Think of it: Israel was preserved through Joseph in Egypt, a young boy. Imagine not discerning that your answer has come through the least expected vessel! Imagine Peter praying fervently for the Messiah to come, yet refusing to follow his own younger brother because he is the senior that had pride. That is how many miss what God has already given yet still praying and weary that God hasn't done it.

Healing has already been provided. Favor, blessings, power, connections, everything is already yours. But many keep praying and fasting as though God has not done it. That is why unbelievers sometimes enjoy results without going through endless vigils or mountain prayers. A believer prays desperately for a spouse, while someone else simply walks in the right place at the right time and meets theirs.

But Jesus already told us the principle: “Watch and pray” (Matthew 26:41). This means be spiritually alert, discerning, and prayerful. Watch, so you don’t miss divine opportunities. Pray, so you can by the Spirit discern what is good, what is right, and who is for you, including in choosing a spouse, partnerships, and life decisions.

And even when we’ve heard prophecies that haven’t come to pass, we sometimes grow weary, angry, or uninterested in hearing more. But here is the truth: all prophecies and promises in God have already been fulfilled in Christ, not will be fulfilled. The posture of our heart must shift from “God will do it” to “God has done it, so how do I walk it out?” When you understand this, you no longer wait passively, you engage the Spirit for direction on how to make manifest what has already been settled.

That is why there is no need for religious gymnastics, no need for fasting endlessly as if to twist God’s hand, no bathing in rivers, no wearing of white clothes, no rubbing of perfumes, no killing yourself with rituals just so God can answer your prayers. Don’t be deceived: He has already answered and provided for it in Christ. It is not about forcing God to act, it is for us to walk with the Spirit, receive His leading, and bring into manifestation what is already ours.

The truth is this: in Christ, provision has been made for everything, your intimacy with God, your fellowship, your growth, even walking in the supernatural. Our role is not to beg God to do it, but to walk in understanding, giving thanks, and asking the Spirit for direction on where and how to access what has already been provided.

Jesus Himself modeled this at Lazarus’ tomb. Before raising him, He gave thanks, saying, “Father, I thank You because You always hear Me.” He prayed with confidence, knowing that His Father never withholds.

I recently saw a story of a blind man who explained how he eats when his wife is not around. His wife had already given him clear instructions, where the chicken was, the rice, the stew, and how to microwave it. All he had to do was follow those instructions and eat. Likewise, God has already provided all things. Our pressing in the Spirit is to receive instructions, ideas, wisdom, and direction to access what is already ours.

So, instead of continually praying, “Lord, give me a spouse,” pray, “Lord, open my eyes, lead me, and by Your Spirit help me discern the right person You have already prepared.” For even the people God stirs to help you still have free will, they can resist. But as you watch and pray in the Spirit, you are unlocking mysteries, speaking divine codes, giving instructions to angels to minister, and aligning your steps into destiny.

The plants, the water, the air, people, everything in creation has been given for your benefit. Don’t just pray as though waiting for God to act; rather, take advantage of what has already been provided.

Christianity EtcThe Heart Of Grace by iamteegee(op): 9:17pm On Aug 20, 2025
The Heart of Grace

Many believers today have not truly known God. What they know is the “god” their pastors, prophets, and religious systems presented to them not the true God revealed in Christ. Growing up, I was taught that God could leave a person. That made me live on eggshells, always afraid of missing one step and being abandoned. But as I grew in Christ, I discovered that it was false. He never leaves us.

The character of God is revealed perfectly in Jesus. He came to show us the true image of the Father. Yet when Grace is taught, many religious people become angry. They accuse, saying, “You are giving people license to sin!” But that is an ignorant statement. If you truly understood God’s mission, you would realize that grace has always been the heartbeat of God from creation itself. Grace defeated sin.

Look at Jonah’s story. God sent him to preach to Nineveh, but Jonah ran away. He faced a storm and was thrown into the sea, yet God did not send judgment, He sent preservation. The great fish was not punishment but mercy, keeping Jonah alive until he yielded to his mission. Where sin abounds, grace abounds much more. Jonah didn’t deserve that mercy, yet God gave it. This is who God is.

When Jonah finally preached, the people of Nineveh believed. But in Jonah 4, Jonah became angry that God spared them. Can you see the religious heart at work? Jonah himself had just enjoyed God’s mercy, yet he could not stand to see others receive it. He thought it was evil that God forgave them. Many Christians behave the same way today.

Religious, legalistic people are quick to shout “judgment!” Many prophets today prophesy doom, death, or destruction. And when it happens, they run to their churches, pulpits, or social media saying, “I prophesied this before it came to pass.” It’s Jonah’s syndrome the ego of wanting to be validated as “a true man of God,” even if it means delighting in destruction.

This religious mindset also plays out among believers. Job’s friends accused him: “Surely this suffering is judgment from God.” The elder brother of the prodigal son became angry: “I never sinned, yet you never threw me a party. Why show my brother grace? He deserves punishment.” The people who caught the woman in adultery screamed: “She deserves to be stoned!” In churches today, we see the same spirit ridicule, embarrassment, and rejection. People are told they don’t deserve forgiveness, as though anyone ever did. What we all deserved was death, but grace and mercy found us.

Yet even now, many Christians pray religious prayers of vengeance: “God, let my enemies die! Let them catch fire!” And some even share testimonies that their uncle, mother, or neighbor died after such prayers. But how does the death of a sinner glorify God? Heaven rejoices, not when people perish, but when they repent.

Even when Jonah was angry over the plant that withered, God still spoke to him. That was grace again God dialoguing with a man lost in religious pride. God asked: “You cared about a plant you didn’t plant. Should I not care about the 120,000 people who don’t know their right hand from their left?” (Jonah 4:11).

This is the true heart of God. Jesus revealed it on the cross when He prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

So today, the question of God to Jonah still comes to us:

Do we rejoice when sinners repent, or get angry like Jonah?

Do we want vengeance on our enemies, or salvation for them?

Do we see people through the lens of wrath, or through the lens of grace?

Beloved, check your heart, change your heart. Drop the religious mindset, let go of legalism, and embrace the heart of Grace.

Christianity EtcRedemption In Creation: The Power Of Bara And Asah by iamteegee(op): 10:26pm On Aug 19, 2025
Redemption in Creation: The Power of Bara and Asah

In Genesis 1:1, we read: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
The Hebrew word used here is Bara meaning to create out of nothing, to bring into existence what never existed before. This was not a reformation of an old thing; it was a brand new creation. In the same way, salvation in Christ is not an upgrade of the old life but the birth of something completely new: “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Cor. 5:17).

But then in Genesis 1:2, the picture shifts: “The earth was without form and void.” The Hebrew phrase is tohu vohu emptiness, confusion, chaos. Darkness covered the deep. The word choshek here speaks not only of physical darkness but also symbolizes separation from God’s order, the absence of light, and even spiritual death (Col. 1:13). This was not how God intended His creation to remain.

Yet the story does not end there: “The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” The word “moved” carries the sense of brooding, hovering, waiting in anticipation. Imagine a mother hen that has laid her eggs. She must brood over them, warming them until they hatch into new life. In the same way, the Spirit of God brooded over the chaos, waiting for the Word to be spoken.

Then came the breakthrough: “And God said, Let there be light.” With this Word, light pierced the darkness. Redemption was hidden in creation, the same way Christ, the true Light, pierces the darkness of sin, death, and ignorance (John 1:3–5,9). Creation itself was a prophecy of salvation.

Created and Made: Bara and Asah

There is a divine distinction between created and made.

Bara (create) means to bring forth out of nothing like the heavens and the earth in Genesis 1:1, or our salvation in Christ.

Asah (make) means to shape, arrange, beautify, or manifest from what already exists (Gen. 1:7).

So in salvation, God has already bara created in us a new life, a new spirit, a new identity. But the Spirit also continues to asah shaping us, arranging us, beautifying our character, and making us more like Christ as we grow in the knowledge of Him.

And here’s the beauty: we too can partner with God in asah. By the Spirit and through our words, we can shape, frame, and beautify our lives.

Framing Your World With Words

Hebrews 11:3 says: “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God.”
Proverbs 18:21 reminds us: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”

Our words are not empty. They frame our homes, marriages, health, finances, businesses, and destinies. This is why Joshua 1:8 instructs us: “This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth… then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.” Notice: it didn’t say God will make your way prosperous , it said you will. How? By speaking, meditating, and declaring His Word daily. Act on it and apply Wisdom

David understood this. He continually said, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not lack” (Psalm 23). His confession shaped his reality.

Now imagine if, for the past 15 years, we had been speaking life daily over our situations. How different would things look today? Too often, our present struggles are the fruit of yesterday’s negative words, complaints, and meditations. Complaining, crying, or brooding over negativity produces nothing but more chaos. But just as the Spirit brooded in Genesis 1, waiting for God’s Word, so He waits in us for the words of life to be spoken.

Start Your Asah Today

No matter how chaotic, empty, or dark your life may seem, the Spirit of God is still brooding. Healing has already been given. Life has already been given. All things that pertain to life and godliness have already been given (2 Pet. 1:3). Now it’s time to cooperate with the Spirit and asah shaping your world with God’s Word.

Redemption was hidden in creation. The same God who said “Let there be light” has shone His light into our hearts through Christ. That light is in your mouth today. Speak it. Frame it. Shape it.

Don’t stop speaking life. Don’t stop shaping your destiny. Don’t stop beautifying your future.
The same Spirit that brooded at creation is brooding in you now.

It is not too late to start. Begin today to speak words of healing, peace, love, and progress. Begin to frame your life, your marriage, your health, your finances, and your future. The power of Bara and Asah is alive in you creation and transformation. Don’t stop.

Christianity EtcUnderstanding Deliverance: The Gospel Vs Rituals by iamteegee(op): 10:28pm On Aug 18, 2025
Understanding Deliverance: The Gospel vs Rituals

Many believers today are confused about what deliverance really is. For many, the word “deliverance” immediately brings to mind casting out demons, breaking ancestral curses, or engaging in endless rituals of fasting and prayer. But what does the Word of God really say? Let us bring clarity, because it is only the truth that sets free.

Old Covenant Deliverance: Temporary and External

Before the death and resurrection of Jesus, deliverance was external, situational, and never permanent. In the Old Testament, every time Israel faced oppression, they cried to God, and He raised a judge, prophet, or king to rescue them. But once the crisis ended, the cycle of bondage returned (Judges 2:16-19).

Isaiah declared, “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the chains of wickedness and set the oppressed free?” (Isa. 58:6). Yet even then, freedom was temporary. They needed to fast, cry, and plead again and again and the enemies still returned to steal, kill, and destroy.

That was a shadow. It pointed to something greater that was yet to come.

Jesus’ Ministry: Signs for the Unbelievers

During His earthly ministry, Jesus cast out demons (ekballo in Greek, meaning to drive out, expel, or throw out forcefully). But notice: this was not the substance of deliverance; it was a sign.

When Jesus cast out demons, it was to show the unbelievers that the Kingdom of God had arrived (Matt. 12:28). It was a temporary relief for the afflicted, not a permanent deliverance. That is why Jesus often told them, “Go and sin no more.” The “sin” here was not mere bad behavior but rejecting Him , the only true Deliverer.

If demons found the person still empty (without Christ), they returned with more wicked spirits (Matt. 12:43-45). Why? Because casting out demons was never the lasting solution. It was a signpost pointing to the real deliverance that would only come through the cross.

The Cross: The Final and True Deliverance

This is where many miss it. Deliverance is not ekballo; deliverance is sozo "salvation"

Colossians 1:13 says: “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son.” This is not a ritual, an event, or a temporary relief. This is a positional, once for all deliverance.

Think of it this way: if you work under a manager in a company, you are under their domain. They can query you, threaten you, or even fire you. But if you leave that company and join another, your old manager has no authority over you. In Christ, you have been delivered out of the domain of darkness. The devil has no legal ground to query, cause delays , monitor you, curse, or oppress you anymore.

This is the true deliverance not a demon being shouted out of you, but you being taken out of their jurisdiction altogether.

The Error of Modern “Deliverance Ministries”

Sadly, many today still live under the shadow. They are told to go to rivers, drink oils, some permanently sleep in the church building, delivrance camps lol, use canes to flog you, put things under pillow, your doorpost, fast endlessly, or pray certain “deliverance prayer points.” Some are told they need to break ancestral curses, uproot foundations, or silence monitoring spirits.

But for the believer, all of these are scams. The true and only deliverance is the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is why Paul boldly declared: “I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation” (Rom. 1:16).

You don’t need another ritual. You don’t need another so-called “prophetic action.” What you need is the gospel , the revelation of Christ’s finished work.

Practical Walk in Deliverance

Deliverance is not something you seek. Deliverance is who you are in Christ. You don’t pursue it as an event; you live it as your identity.

Here’s how to walk in it:

Know the Word: “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Truth is your greatest weapon.

Confess Your Identity: Declare who you are in Christ daily (2 Cor. 5:17).

Resist the Devil: Stand in Christ’s authority, not in fear (James 4:7). Stand fast on the liberty where Christ has made you free

Renew Your Mind: Stop thinking cursed, delayed , bad luck, bound, or possessed. You are seated with Christ far above (Eph. 2:6).

What many call “deliverance” is really just the renewing of the mind (Rom. 12:2).

Finally Siblings: Freedom Is Your Reality

Believer, hear this: you are not cursed. You are not possessed. You are not bound. You do not need anyone to “deliver” you again. If you are in Christ, you are already free.

Jesus Himself said: “If the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).

So when anyone tells you that you need deliverance, respond with the truth: “I don’t need deliverance; I walk in deliverance because I am in Christ.”

This is the gospel. This is the power of God. This is the truth that will set you free forever.

Christianity EtcThe Song Titled Satan Do Your Worst by iamteegee(op): 3:00pm On Aug 18, 2025
In as much as I don’t even like that song, the words used in "Satan do your worst", what troubles me more is how believers sometimes give Satan too much power in their minds and in their songs. When we exalt the devil’s activity above Christ’s finished work, we are not building faith but feeding fear.

And many times, I hear believers using the account of Job to preach fear, as though what happened to Job can still happen to us in Christ. That is not how we are called to teach. Our focus must always be Christ and the believer’s identity in Him.

Even Jesus Himself said: “Among those born of women, none is greater than John the Baptist, but the least in the Kingdom is greater than he.” (Matthew 11:11). That means even the least of us in Christ has a higher reality than Job ever walked in.

Job longed for a mediator. He wished there was someone who could stand between God and man. He lamented, “If only there were someone to arbitrate between us, someone to lay his hand upon us both” (Job 9:33). Job understood that if such a mediator existed, certain things would never have happened in his life.

But today, we have what Job could only dream of. We have Christ, our High Priest, our Mediator, who has not only taken away the accusing power of the devil but has also destroyed his works (Hebrews 8:6, 1 John 3:cool. Satan has no legal ground against the believer anymore because Christ’s blood speaks a better word.

Now, you carry the Spirit of Christ within you. That changes everything. Without even shouting, without staging dramatic “deliverance shows” like some K-drama acts people put up, your very presence carries authority over the devil. Just like Jesus, when you walk in the consciousness of who you are, demons recognize it and flee (Mark 5:6-7; Acts 19:15).

So, dear believer, don’t let anyone glorify the devil in their songs, in their preaching, or in their doctrines. Don’t let anyone put fear in you. If Job, without the indwelling Spirit, without the finished work, stood firm in integrity, how much more you who carry Christ Himself within? Job wished for what you now have — Christ in you, the hope of glory.

The Holy Spirit in you is not a joke. He is the seal, the guarantee, the very power of God residing in you. Walk in boldness, know your rights in Christ, and live out your true identity.

Christianity EtcSupernatural Consciousness by iamteegee(op): 10:30pm On Aug 17, 2025
Supernatural Consciousness

Beloved,
1 Corinthians 15:45 talks about two kinds of men and their offsprings. The first Adam was a living soul, this is the category we once belonged to, and where many still remain today. When Adam fell, the spiritual connection between God and man was disconnected. Man became vulnerable, and the princes of darkness took advantage of this state to exert their wickedness.

But then, the second Adam came Jesus Christ, the quickening Spirit. What does quickening mean? In Greek, it is zoopoieō, which means to make alive. We were dead, but in Christ we are made alive!

John 3:6 says, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit.” Until a believer realizes this truth and becomes conscious of it, he may continue to battle with identity crisis. That is dangerous, because identity crisis makes you live below who you are in Him.

The book of John also makes it clear that there are two kinds of people:

The earthly – they speak earthly things: fear, confusion, attacks, manipulations, stolen destinies, buried stars, endless dreams, interpretations, and negatives, sickness, death.

The heavenly – Jesus said, “I am from above, and he who is from above is above all.” Such a person speaks the language of the Spirit.

The Spirit does not just preserve life, He creates, sustains, and makes alive. In Him, you now have uninterrupted access to the Father. Irrespective of your mistakes, you worship in Spirit and in truth. You are one with His Spirit, and you live in the overflow. You operate knowing you are one and you are a Spirit.

Made Alive vs. Filled With the Spirit

Being made alive is different from being filled with the Spirit. Quickening is the foundation; the overflow comes when you are filled.
It’s like a phone, you cannot charge it to 100% unless it has first been made alive or powered. Ephesians 5:18 tells us to be filled with the Spirit. Acts 2:4 shows us the believers in the upper room: they were filled and began to speak with tongues.

Sadly, many in the older generation of churches did not walk in the supernatural because everything about their programs was man made, not Spirit-filled. The result? Social gatherings, moral guidelines, and weak communities of believers. At the sight of an occultic person or birds, cats, they would run away, fearful of witches and ancestral demons, spirits that should be afraid of us! They prayed from fear and defeat, prayer points extracted/inspired from unbelievers possesed with demons not knowing they are Spirits in Christ.

The Power of Praying in the Spirit

Such fearful prayers, prayer points no matter how appealing it is to our emotions can never edify or grow you spiritually. They only make you more conscious of human weakness and the fallen nature, you now then begin to pray against delays, manipulations, enemies of your destiny, elders of your house, village people, monitoring spirits, ancestral, foundations etc they are rubbish! I'm sorry.
But when a believer prays in the Spirit, especially in tongues:

You edify yourself (1 Cor. 14:4).

You build yourself up on your most holy faith (Jude 20).

You overflow in the Spirit until your soul and body are saturated with life.

No room is left for demons. Your body is revitalized, you can drink and match poison, face snakes, and none of these will hurt you luke10:19. Look at Paul: he prayed in tongues more than all in the book of Corinthians, and the overflow in him was evident, snake bite couldn’t kill him, his clothes healed the sick, devils fled, mysteries unfolded.

Living in the Overflow

John 7:38–39 says, “Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
Beloved, Jesus no longer comes down to heal the sick or does anything, He's seated in heaven but He has already made us alive and filled us with His Spirit. We are now the miracle workers. Your hands carry power, your words carry life, your very breath can heal. Your body has been quickened by the Spirit to produce supernatural results.

Jesus said, “In my name YOU will heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils.” Notice it says you, not Jesus doing it again. Jesus has finished the works, and has invested into us, giving us His Spirit, You are to walk in the supernatural consciousness of who you are in Him.

Our Identity in God

Psalm 82:5–7 says:

They know not, neither will they understand. They walk on in darkness… I have said, you are gods (elohim), children of the Most High. But you shall die like mere men and fall like one of the princes.

Many believers die like mere men because they don’t know their identity. But we are Elohim, children of the Most High! It is our responsibility to walk in this reality.

Finally Siblings

Be conscious that you are Spirit. Pray more in tongues. Refuse fearful prayers and prayer points they don't edify nor help you grow. Fill your imagination with the power at work in you. Speak to your body, your health, your marriage, your career, your business, and command them to align with the supernatural life in you.

Dreams, Pagan Practices, and the Spirit-Led Life in Christ

Dear Beloved,

The design of God has always been for Him to have a relationship with man, communicating with man Spirit to Spirit, man hearing and communicating back without barriers. But after the fall, that aspect of man was disconnected.

In that fallen state, men invented religions that would supposedly connect them to divinity. With the help of demons, some became chief priests, eyes and ears of the gods, drawing inspiration and giving interpretations to the people. This became the way man could communicate with divinity in the fallen world. Sadly, men became slaves of those idols, controlled by the metaphysical realm where principalities dwell.

For centuries, the devil has used these means to steal destinies, health, joy, and loved ones etc. It brought fear, death and destruction. The major way this happened was through dreams.
Dream interpretation became a tool of manipulation. The wise ones mastered it to enslave their fellow men, robbing Peter to pay Paul, causing accidents, stirring sickness, even casting dreams into the atmosphere so entire communities would experience their projections. Once people were bewitched in their dreams, they would run back to the “interpreters,” who would then feed them fear and lies. The devil used this to play upon their ignorance.

It is striking that dream interpretation has always been a pagan practice, a way to manipulate the ignorant, yet today, we find the same mindset in Christianity.

God’s Pattern in the Old Testament

Yes, God spoke through dreams at certain times but notice to whom?: Pharaoh, Abimelech, Pilate’s wife etc. These were outsiders, men and women who were not in covenant with God. It was a shadow, a way for them in their soulish realm to understand what God was saying.

But look at covenant children , Abraham, Moses, the prophets, David. God spoke to them directly. This is how God has always intended: relationship, not riddles.

Some may point to Job 33:14–18. But remember, Elihu was speaking to Job and his three friends. His point was that because of hardness of heart or distraction, men often miss God’s direct communication, so He may still send warnings in dreams. But this was not a call to doctrine. Job himself lamented in Job 9:33 that there was no mediator. Today, we have a Mediator, Jesus Christ (1 Tim. 2:5). That changes everything. The people of old are not in the same league with you, you operate from a higher realm seated in Christ far above all.

Even in Numbers 12:6–8, when Miriam and Aaron opposed Moses, God said: “If there is a prophet among you, I make Myself known in visions and dreams. But with My servant Moses, I speak mouth to mouth.” Notice the contrast: dreams and visions were shadows, but intimacy mouth to mouth was His best. That intimacy is what you and I now have in Christ.

Joseph’s Dreams and the Transition

Some may argue about Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, who had four dreams. But look closely: these were angelic encounters with clarity, which qualify as visions, not riddles needing manuals. Joseph did not pursue dreams; he simply obeyed clear instructions.

And remember Joseph lived before the Cross. The New Testament did not begin until the death and resurrection of Jesus. Joseph would have wished to have what you now have: Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col. 1:27) but identity crisis make people to behave in a way that makes them lesser than who they truly are.

The New Covenant Reality

Now that Christ is risen, Romans 8:14 makes it clear: “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” We are not led by dreams.

When believers today chase dreams for decisions about marriage, business, or ministry, they open themselves to error. Many have married wrong people or lost millions in failed ventures because they trusted a dream rather than the Spirit of God. The devil knows that if you still live in ignorance, he can keep projecting dreams to keep you in fear and running around for interpretations.

But hear this truth: you don’t need dreams to walk in God’s will. You have the Spirit. You don’t need a “dream manual” that uses one formula for 5,000 people. You don’t need to be told your spiritual life is under attack just because you didn’t dream last night. None of this is New Covenant doctrine.

Dreams vs. Visions

There is a difference.

Vision: Always clear and from God.

Dream: Can come from anywhere , your mind, movies, stress, or demonic projection.

Jesus never dreamt. The apostles never dreamt. No New Covenant believer is recorded as dreaming. When God spoke, He gave clarity through vision, not vague riddles.

Your Freedom in Christ

Beloved, shut the door to dreams in your life forever. If you still dream, remember: the dream world does not operate by the laws of this physical world. There is no gravity, no limitation. If you are locked in a room, you can walk through the wall. If you notice yourself flying, don’t be afraid. Take mastery so the devil does not bully you, if you see yourself served food, eat it welll and drink juice to step it down, you see yourself in the river, swim and enjoy yourself very well, you are above the realm of the princes of darkness.

But above all, never forget this: you are in Christ. God speaks to you Spirit to Spirit, mouth to mouth. That is the relationship He has called you into. Train your mind to this truth, renew your heart, and walk free from the fear of dreams.

Dreams are shadows. Christ is the reality. You don’t need dreams to know the will of God. You have His Spirit. You have His Word. You have His life.

Grace and peace.

I don't know if you truly read the article? Did you comprehend it? Did Joseph Mary's husband look for interpreter? Did the people God was talking about needed a book of dreams to understand or needed someone to interpret it? I clearly wrote there that God can speak or show us things in vision with clarity, clear instructions without you going to read one pastor's dream manual that uses one symbol for everyone. What happened after the Holy Spirit was poured on all, who dreamt again? Because now the Spirit speaks to us directly or show us things in vision. Read to understand
Dottore:
You wrote long epistle without making sense. Dream is the mirror of your life whether you like it or not.
The reality of life is far beyond how it works in your little mind. People receive supernatural guidance, counsel and even admonition through different means. One of the most important means is through dreams and the bible clearly acknowledges that:
Job 33:13-18
14 For God does speak—now one way, now another— though no one perceives it.
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds,
16 he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings,
17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride,
18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword.

Lives, organisations and institution alike have been made or destroyed through dreams.

In Matthew 2:13 The life of Jesus himself was saved through the Dream Joseph had. Was Joseph an old man then?
... an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

Then in the same Matthew 2:19
After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and instructed him to take Jesus back to Israel.

Great generational transforming projects and activities came alive through dreams that certain people have had.

Numbers 12:6 he said, “Listen to my words: “When there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams. I guess in your head all prophets are old right?

The marriage of Joseph and Mary was saved because of Joseph's dream
Matthew 1:20-23
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins...

Christianity EtcDream Interpretation: A Pagan Practice That Hijacked The Church by iamteegee(op): 11:19pm On Aug 15, 2025
Dream Interpretation: A Pagan Practice That Hijacked the Church

Interpreting dreams has always been a pagan practice long before Israel became a nation. Pharaoh had wise men, sorcerers, astrologers, etc., giving him counsel, interpreting dreams, reading omens. Babylon and Mesopotamia used dream manuals, symbols, human decoding systems, like the Egyptian Book of Dreams.
Among the Hebrews, only Joseph and Daniel interpreted dreams and that was because they were in pagan nations. It was never a ministry among God’s people. God spoke to Israel clearly through the prophets without giving them puzzles or riddles to solve.

Why People Dreamed in the First Place

The reason people dreamt was because after the fall, man ate the fruit and died spiritually. But God, full of grace, still communicated until the hearts of men strayed away from Him.
Man then was a soulish being open to the metaphysical realm, which gave demons power to control the affairs of fallen man. That’s why dream interpretation was common with pagans, not God’s covenant people.

God’s Pattern vs. Pagan Practice

God’s way: speak clearly through prophets.
Pagan way: riddles, symbols, and human decoding systems.
When I see believers preaching about dreams and interpreting dreams for other believers today, I just shake my head and pray their eyes will be opened. This practice is a major reason many are in spiritual and mental bondage.

It has brought countless problems into the church because pastors mix it with Bible verses to legitimize it, using “dream manuals” to keep people dependent.

The Truth About Biblical Examples

Yes, Joseph dreamt but did Joseph go looking for someone to interpret? No.
It was a vision well understood.
Yes, King Nebuchadnezzar dreamt (he was an unbeliever ) and didn’t know the meaning but when Daniel pressed into God, it came as a vision.
Joseph’s own visions were explained by God not a man.

The Problem with Obsession Over Dreams

Obsession with decoding dreams leads to:

1. Fear , God has not given us the spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind. How can believers have a "Sound mind" when it has been polluted by all these pagan practices of interpreting dreams

2. Dependence on a prophet/pastor , This is exactly how pagan systems operated.

3. Spiritual manipulation , Daniel 2 shows the king refusing to tell his wise men the dream because they kept lying and controlling him.

It’s the same today: one formula, pagan practices, keeping believers in bondage. People start praying wrong prayers generated by what they believe in their mind. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
That’s why you keep having those dreams and living a restless life even in Christ, running for endless deliverance. 90% of your supposed prayer life is all centered around devil, demons these things how then do God enjoy sweet fellowship with you?

If the Jesus they preached to you is all powerful, why do you need endless deliverances?
Jesus only cast out demons from unbelievers once not every week but you are a believer feeding on wrong things that produces wrong results never found in the bible.

God spoke through prophets in the old covenant, but now He speaks through His Son. And His Son is in you.

Twisted Dream Interpretations Today

Look at the damage these interpretations have done:

“I ate in the dream witchcraft is in me.”

“They stole my slippers, my destiny is stolen.”

“I saw a snail, delay is coming.”

“I had sex in the dream, spiritual spouse.” etc

Do you know what it actually takes for someone to be your wife or husband? They have to pay your bride price. That’s why Jesus calls us His bride because He paid for us with His blood and gave us the Holy Spirit as an engagement ring!

What Joel 2:28 Actually Says

Joel 2:28 says: “Your sons and daughters will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”
You are young, yet you insist God speaks to you through dreams? Well, I don’t blame you, it’s because they have taught you that if you don’t dream, your spiritual life is under attack. So you keep going for interpretations and more manipulations.

For the Believer

Your destiny is not a riddle.
The Spirit of God in you guides you into all truth, helps you, reveals things to you, speaks to you, and shows you things in visions.
Shun these pagan practices. Renew your mind on the truth. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
How can you have the Spirit but your life is full of bondage? You can’t sleep at night, and everything you see in a dream defines your happiness and destiny in life. You are seated in Christ far above, He in you is greater than the world, live it, be conscious of it.

To the Unbeliever

You are a soulish person, and the metaphysical has power over you. They can project illusions for you to see and believe. They can manipulate you.
But in Christ, you are seated far above all principalities and powers. Christ is your true and only deliverance from the kingdom of darkness to light. Accept Jesus as Lord, ask Him to fill you with the Spirit, and be finally free.
