With Dangote, Govt/Nnpc should maximize production and dissuade import as much as possible .. all these development can only benefit the economy if Naira regains value

But I doubt it would reach N500. Refineries are built with loans, not with free money, and the loans got to be paid back. Workers also have to be paid competitive wages, because Dangote is competing globally not with Nigeria. And yes, oil workers in NIgeria japa. (And have been doing so for decades. It's a high skill work, and they are in high demand).

Even if Refineries are built on loan that still does not make "loan" a determinant in price or figuration of profit margin

i will give you an instance, if Chukwudi collect a corolla on loan to run a uber service ... will he charge passengers using loan or will Uber app compute price base on loan interest

if i collect loan to set up a phone store in ikeja, will i sell my phones above market prices because i collect lapo

The Naira is now a four digit currency. It is bizarre that the highest denomination is only 1,000 naira which is about 60cents. This is ridiculous.

That maximum 100k withdrawal can only purchase 10k goods of 2007. That 100k of 2014 could last you one week. Today, you could finish it in a day. So, you need to keep withdrawing 100k from the ATM each day. This massive turnover is why banks lack cash.

When the Naira became a 3 digit currency, the CBN introduced the N100, 200, 509 and finally the 1,000 note in 2007 if I'm correct. Then the 1,000 note was worth around $8.

There's an urgent need therefore for the government to introduce the 2k,5k and 10k denominations urgently.

Unfortunately, Nigerians would say higher denominations would cause inflation which no topnotch economist would support. An increase in money supply that is higher than the increase in goods and services is whats causes inflation.

The central bank should follow global best practices and introduce higher denominations asap.

We should introduce 5k nd 10k because of elon musks like you, imagine cost of living when 500, 1k goes extinct like #50
