Gradually, Tinubu is beginning to fold in favour of Wike, as predicted. Today, they claim governors are the leaders of the party in their states and the next day, claim governors have no control. They are simply laying the groundwork to justify the impending sacrifice of Fubara.

If you follow recent events you will notice that Fibara's acceptance into APC is to checkmate Wike. Wike has lost relevance and that is why he is running from pillar to post. He has publicly expressed support for Tinubu so he cannot go back. Whatever structure he has cannot be used against APC (any attempt to do that will be met with federal+state force). Meanwhile the APC chairman is telling him indirectly that he does not get to determine who will be the APC flagbearer in rivers.
