EFCC Bursts a Syndicate of 13 Cybercrime Suspects in Abuja

Luck ran out on a syndicate of 13 cybercrime suspects on Thursday March 11, when operatives of the Abuja Zonal Office of the EFCC raided their hideouts and apprehended them.

Five of the suspects were picked up at an N8m a year apartment in Gilmore Estate, Jahi, while the other eight were arrested at Katampe Extension, all in Abuja.

The breakthrough followed actionable intelligence on their alleged criminal enterprise.

Incriminating items recovered from them include iPhones, laptops, gaming consoles, 1 Toyota Avalon and a Lexus SUV.

The suspects have given valuable information and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Court Jails Six for Internet Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office, on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, secured the conviction of six internet fraudsters in Abeokuta, Ogun state and Ibadan, Oyo state.

Justice Mohammed Abubakar of the Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta convicted Balogun Mojeed, Adeyemo Adeyinka Samuel, Mojeed Tajudeen Oluwafemi, Babatunde Damilare Odetunde and Opeyemi Jamiu...

...after finding them guilty of separate amended one count charge bordering on impersonation contrary to Section 22 (20) (b) (i) and punishable under Section 22(2) (b) of the Cyber Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act, 2015.

While Balogun Mojeed and Adeyemo Adeyinka Samuel were sentenced to two months in prison; Mojeed Tajudeen Oluwafemi and Babatunde Damilare Odetunde bagged three months imprisonment, and Opeyemi Jamiu, four months.

The Court also ordered them to make restitution to their victims and forfeit items recovered from them in the course of the investigation to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Same here. This week by Boss wife who also doubles as the E.D referred me to as "this boy" she has kept this attitude since the day I stepped into their company.

I've been tempted to correct her that I'm 28 and not a boy but I'm scared not to loose my job as she may not see it as a polite request.

It's not easy when you have a small stature like me. A friend was looking at a family picture then pointed to my younger brother and asked "is that your elder brother?" I was so embarrassed, he's far taller and I'm older than him with almost 10 years but people think he's older than me.

I've come to a realization we most times have to earn people's respect, and it's those kinda respect that's sweeter.

When I feel sorry for myself due to my stature, I remember people like El-rufai, Gowon who were also pint sized but shook Nigeria to it's foundation...

The thing is that the woman might actually be a nice woman and you're probably a dude that respect the elderly ones but she doesn't seem to know where and when to do some "Mummy's duties". Try and limit your association and conversations with her if possible.

People tend to take advantage of some certain things especially when you're too respectful or have small stature. Some people are saying you should elevate yourself financially but it's not really about that with women like this . Some women just like this unnecessarily "Big mummy duties" even if you're Dangote and that will make it worse.

Respect in this part of the world is based on appearance and perception. If people assume you are well to do, they'll respect you, irrespective of your age.

My only advice is to carry yourself well; with dignity. Strive to also be successful, try to be at par with your age mate, that also helps to get respect.

You peeps still don't get what annoyed me. My annoyance is the fact she did it openly. It's somehow denigrating based on my perception.

It's an official workplace, and some level of respect should be displayed there. I guess I'm wrong though.

seeming young( age, class, grade, physical attributes etc) and acting very matured is a good plus to you wherever you find yourself.
how you are being disrespected is what should concern you. And the Matron who referred to you as "my son" may mean nothing, she may have a child as old as you or even older( I don't know her age) or just from a cultural part, as long as she hasn't disrespected you in any form, you could allow that slide.

My only grouse initially was I thought it was because I had a young looking face that's why.
