Health / Re: 3 Participants Win N1 Million At 7-Week Weight Loss Challenge With Dr Physiq by ibiba: 8:18pm On Mar 29, 2021
I was the winner of this challenge. We as winners are joining the next batch which starts on Saturday, not only to encourage those coming up, but also to keep fit. Initially, the money motivated me, but later on, I loved the way I looked and my motivation moved beyond money. The Organisers of this programme are heaven sent. Obesity is bad. Personally, I'm maintaining my diet, I still intend to exercise 6 days a week, and even though the programme finished on Saturday, I'm back to my regime, because I want to lose an extra 6kg. I have included a picture of myself, which I can assure you didn't even show my weight fully, because even after that picture, I still added weight. The wellness centre is literally the only thing that could have helped me lose weight. We dieted, we exercised, and also ate healthy, most times One Meal A Day. Some of us detoxed our system fully. Basically she educated us properly, and people like me benefited from her over 20years of expertise.
Also the 56kg lost was from all the contestants. I contributed 16.6kg to that figure. Personally, I'm very grateful to Dr Physiq, and I pray that God expands this project.

P/s The remaining 150k was shared amongst all those that participated but didn't come 1st -3rd.. That's a positive spirit..

If una laff my before picture, wahala go dey o.. lol

Because she's shocked that first of all, you hassled people for so long, and even after they helped you, you didn't use the opportunity to go to school and also do a bit of side work to get the next terms school fees, you expected to come here again, violate people's privacy, spam people's thread and force them into giving you money and get angry if they don't. Last year, you were lucky. Don't, I repeat, don't PM people who you don't know. Its rude and disrespectful. You think i want to be opening my email and seeing a message from someone i dont know? Your mail goes to my spam now. Everybody needs help. I worked while I was in school to make ends meet. Have some self respect and look at doing some chores to make money. I promise you that you'll feel very fulfilled when you've done that. I saved for a period of 9months before embarking on this trip. So stop feeling sorry for yourself and don't expect anyone to feel sorry for you too. There's nothing I hate most in my life than a full grown able bodied adult begging for money. It's a different thing if you're begging for a job, but not when in my condition I've gone to work from morning till 6pm, everyday, then I will carry the money and give you that you feel you're too big to work. I will not encourage you to be a nuisance in the society byou inculcating the habit of begging . Take this message positively and so something for yourself. However, if you still find an excuse as to why you need to beg, no vex o... your own case don enter blood stream. Nothing anybody can do for you anymore.

I guess I can beat that!

Hospital bill - 3550
Dr (pre+post natal) - 1000
Lab test (they don't accept any test from nigeria )- 650 includes ultrasound.
Well didn't ask abt pediatrician fees.
But i want to try them out before throwing it out to the house.

For all those sending PMs I'd post the details here once confirmed

Missusadey... I'm still waiting for your info o. By God's grace I'm making the choice of a Dr this week as baby is due Christmas day. So basically no luxury of waiting to see if they're good. Once the Dr has a licence I'm okay. I no need the extra mile... lol... so I've pm'ed you, just the doctor's name and number... thanks for the share

That is one part of your problem solved another one is to proof that you can afford to pay for child birth in US. Looking for a 'cheap' hospital may not help you at POE, you may have to look for something that is not too cheap and not too expensive.

I can pay the funds provided it's less than $15k. I just wish there was a place that the max I'll spend will be 5-6k for everything...

Ist advice: #bigJacket? #hidebigstomach? That is a no no. U have to notify the embassy that u intend to birth in the US. whilst u search for a hospital within your budget
Send The email to Consularabuja@state.gov or LagosNIV@state.gov

Thank you so much... I'll do that tomorrow. It doesn't matter that I'm using a visa waiver right? I'm assuming it doesn't matter since I'm leaving from Nigeria. Thanks a lot for the advice.

Biko somebody help me.... I'm going to ATL on the 28th of Nov, my due date is Christmas day. I have checked all the hospitals I know... all of them are quoting 8-10k for virginal, 10-15k for CS. Infact if I knew I would have just gone to UK since I get British passport. At least my winter jacket will hide my big stomach. Pls I need general advice on a low budget hospital. Then any other things I need to know. Please help. I discovered this topic late and also out of desperation. Any doctors? Are doctors fees different from hospital fees, circumcision, CS, everything. No advice is unnecessary Pls. Thanks

Politics / What Are We Going To Do About This Kidnapping Issue In The Niger Delta -rivers by ibiba: 12:36am On May 13, 2008
Nigerians, most especially the Niger deltans, what are we going to do about this ongoing crisis in the Niger delta region of Nigeria? this is becoming a serious matter. what are our so called leaders doing? this crisis is gradually spreading, and very soon, no one will be safe. how can this people kidnap people's wives and now even children, and then demand for a -N- 50 million ransom. Na wao, this is no joke oh. port Harcourt which was formerly known for its enjoyable lifestyle, now people live in fear and cannot even drive their cars, for fear of being kidnapped or robbed. my suggestion is for the federal government to ask for help from the American and British government, in exchange for oil, and send at least 10 thousand armed military troops in to that troubled state. although this foreign government have a lot on their plate at the moment, by that i mean the current war going on in Iraq, Zimbabwe, e.t.c. which is why i said bribing them with oil. let them go in and wipe that place clean, because God knows our armed forces in Nigeria cannot match the sophisticated machineries that this people have. besides they don't even pay the Nigerian police enough money, neither will they look after their families when they die. if this situation is not controlled they will begin to kidnap common people walking along the streets, and it will even extend to other states, as i hear its now moved to imo state. may God help us. we need divine intervention oh, before God decides to do destroy the state like he did Sodom and Gomorrah. God forbid
Travel / Re: How Safe Is Port-harcourt Now For Someone Living Abroad Travelling Home? by ibiba: 5:30pm On May 11, 2008
i stay in London, but i love port Harcourt a lot, and often travel to Nigeria as much as i can. but on the 18th of April i was nearly attacked by armed robbers when i went to see my cousin at their shop. thankfully they were unable to take my car due to the fact that my central lock on my car was on. this was at rumuigbo junction around 10.30 at night. for the first time in my life i actually saw a gun up close and personal.
one advice i have is for you to relax and have fun. you can go out at night, but pls do not drive flashy cars, just something which has an air conditioner as it's very hot. also if anyone asks u tell them u've been around for a month, which might lead people who have ill thoughts for u to believe that u would have exhausted Ur funds. always be aware of ur environment. all this and the love of God is why i was able to escape harm, and all my money in tact that night. understandably it was a huge risk. you'll be OK smiley
