abatically: @op, have u tried sygic GPS navigation? Then u will know google map is still learning. I have both but never use Google map, sygic beats its a$$ arms down. Google map is good but sygic rocks. Google maps need internet connection to work, sygic is completely offline and u will be surprised at the nooks and crannies this app knows, even gives u alternative routes allover the country, the ui is better and it even has HUD mode and the voice is better. this sygic map is similar to nokia maps.. Nokia map works offline on my nokia C5(symbian). It shows u the name of the local government u are and even shows u the boundary.. That's why I still respect symbian phones |

pazienza: Taa! The highest oil producing LGA in Rivers state is an Igbo speaking one, it's Ogba/Ndoni/Egbema LGA, and it's upland.
Rivers state is the only state where all the LGAs produce oil, but the bulk of the state oil revenue comes from offshore wells, belonging to no one.
So,you can already stop this your myth of riverine communities producing more oil than the upland areas. ndoni is the highest producer of oil.. Accepted but when u combine all the oil wells from both the upland and riverine communities, u will know wat am talking about |

emmysoftyou: what concern me with oil, when japan doesnt have oil but stil progressing than nigeria.. look man,i am talking abt population of denial of igbos in rivers is much than the riverine pple, infact eastern igbo is the largest in river state so it depend if they want to zone the governorship race to ijaw zone but if you guys want to vote ur candidate by just election, yu wil lose becaus ijaws re minority in river state. even ogoni s more than ijaw in river state. so that s it.. I'm not sure u are a rivers man.. Or maybe u stay in the part of ph that there are mostly upland people.. Why not go to places like old township, abuloma, marine base, diobu etc. Mind u, majority of ph residents are non indigenes(abia and imo to be precise).. U can't say the whole Ogoni is more than the Kalabari, Okrika, opobo, Bonny, Abua, and Andoni combined.. And again, I do agree there are lots of Igbo speaking tribes.. There population is much, so are the Ijaws.. |

emmysoftyou: you re joking, the population of river state population constitutes upland as the largest in river state so the riverine are minority and ur vote doesnt count bc the denial of igbo dominated area re the largest in river state. stop toking like yu and ijaws own river state... the igbos and d eastern igbos own it do u know that majority of riverine people are based upland.. Go to old portharcourt township and check for yourself.. Its the riverine that produce most of the oil in rivers state. Their votes will surely count |

Romance › Re: Dilemma Of A Single Female Banker. by ibiso1986: 11:36am On Nov 13, 2014 |
Skii: Dear all,
for a moment, let us put the attitudes of just a few female bankers aside.
what about the guys? shouldn't they take some responsibility for not raising their game enough?
rather than squirm at the sight (or actions) of some lady, i think guys should learn the art of taming, subtle taming of these seemingly untamed women. women are emotional, very, as i have come to understand and it may be that at the time whoever engaged them, they may have been under pressure hence their untoward "reaction".
I must confess, i am also in the process of learning how to deal with various types of women. the funny thing as i have found is that, once you are able to ride their initial forming or fronting attitude, they come running after you like bees chase honey!
you don't get out of life what you want, you get out of life who you are- Les Brown!
so the guy going after the cleaner in preference to the banker, that's fine, that's his choice, that's who he is.
if only the banker ladies will exercise some patience, their own guy will come and when he does, they should hope that he is man enough to teach them the manners they lack.
let's not even talk about money, again a man on top of his game will tame a lady he chooses whether or not she earns more than he does.
picture this scenario, an example someone gave in one of the replies
a lady banker snaps at the counter when you request to use her pen. rather than quiet down and retreat with tail in between legs, a gentle, friendly, subtle comment or compliment can do the trick "wow, you must be under pressure, take it easy", "even with that attitude, you are still gorgeous, what will you be like when you are smiling?"
sharp guy.. Its just a sad that most guys are not good at taming.. I'm one of them.. Still learning though.. |

tonte: anyway, I'm Kalabari, and for a long time I've heard arguments and counter arguments that either Kalabari's are not Ijaw, or Kalabari's are the real Ijaws...but either ways, I'm so proud of my heritage, history and ancestry...we all about Love, Peace and all out enjoyment for any kind of celebration, birthdays, Marriages, funerals, even celebrations that are uncalled for like "Go to Niger" (that's a carnival that celebrates the anniversary of our defeat to the Nigerian forces during the civil war) I always wondered why that was celebrated with so much crowd and funfare...we sure do not like to be cheated or marginalised out of what we think should be our rights( which should explain the Asari Dokubo led uprising in 2006), we have a very beautiful diverse choice of tasty sea food, as well as very lovely women, examples are Agbani Darego and Damiete Charles-Granville, who were beauty queens.... I wish I could host maybe 1 or 2 nairalanders from the north and Southwest for a chirstmas week, so you guys should know that there really is no party like a Kalabari party in Nigeria...okay I think I have talked too much bye bye good one brother |

Ikwerreboy: See you. Are the ijaws in rivers state more populated than the ikwerres? The ans is NO. It was before when bayelsa state was with rivers state the ikwerres were seen as one of the minority in rivers state. But now we are 40%-45% of rivers state population with 4 local govt areas. Any candidate Ikwerre pple acept 4 governorship/Presidential election done win. If ikwerre pple dom Goodluck Jonathan, he will probably loose in rivers state. Supervising minister of education nyesom wike get courage to contest for Governor because in from Ikwerre. That why amaechi is going about telling other ethnic group that they should not allow an ikwerre become the gov after him who is an ikwerre man. or else only the ikwerres will continue to be governor in rivers state because of there population. That it is only him(Gov amaechi) that can kick against that if they all join hands with him and vote in someone from another ethnic group in rivers state probably from A.P.C
Were the ijaws own population is in bayelsa and dellta. guy, ikwerri plenty but when u combine all the ijaw tribes in Rivers state, the case will be different. Most ikwerri villages are occupied by non indigenes.. If u want to see more of the Ijaws, go to Abuloma, Old portharcourt township, Borokiri etc. |
