You are right. Actually the board met last week and what was discussed was promotional exams. They want to conclude everything concerning promotion before continuing the recruitment. The board will meet after the public holiday.

Which training, na only her them go train? Did she show you the appointment letter for the replacement she got? Did she get it for a graduate rank (ASC II) or for a lower non-graduate rank? Or was she trying to tell you that her name is already included in the replacement list, though the list has not yet been officially released, but that when it would be officially released, maybe by the first week of August, that she would be among those that would commence training?

Because as a matter of fact there seems to be a replacement list that has already been compiled, which will be merged with those selected in the main recruitment process. It is in the replacement list that most people who are above the specified recruitment age will join the Corps. During training you will see those who are even almost 40 years that got the job. Mind you they didn't forge their birth certificates.They gave their genuine age, which is far above the specified age, and they still got the job. Most of such people would come in through the replacement list that will be merged with those selected in the main recruitment process.

Though the Dec 15 2018 43rd Superintendent Basic Course cadets that did their Passing Out Parade (POP) were 652 in Number... So if we should do an Average Random Calculation of Equal Representation by the 36 states + Abuja, then that gives an Average of 18 Officer Cadets per state...

Why I am sharing this is just to Let us have an Idea what Lies ahead and how Necessary it is to Start Working towards getting shortlisted and making it to Training... I had a conversation with an immigration friend this morning.

This is my first post on this thread.

I know a lot of people will feel discouraged after reading the conversation, probably because they have no connection to help them push their names.

Let me make it clear that, slots are just a % of the entire number of officers to be recruited. And many more unclaimed slots(which is meant for the connectionless people like u and i ) are still available.

A lot of people have gotten jobs in the FG without knowing anybody, but it takes divine intervention, it is very possible.

Don't let anybody talk you into believing that if you don't have connection, then u are hopeless. Don't heed to that!

Trust your God, live your life, if its meant to happen, then it MUST happen, the how does not concern you, leave that to God.

Be hopeful that, You'll make it, it doesn't matter whether its through FG job or not. Do not limit God to only FG jobs, he will always make a way for those that sincerely trust and believe in Him.

The update of the board meeting yesterday. It really base on the approval of the both the junior and senior officer men n women promotion and date to be fixed for the NSCDC new recruitment and Fire service replacement. So that was what it was disscused yesterday but date are not given yet
Final decision will be taking on Thursday for board meeting. Tnxs.

Looks like every agency is trying to turn this thing into replacement.
