Omooba77: Speaking after the Eid-el-Fitr prayers at the Dodan Barracks Eid Ground in Lagos, marking the end of Ramadan, Tinubu stressed that Nigerians must continue the virtues of charity, love and good neighbourliness beyond the holy month.
Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, has called on citizens to sustain the values of discipline, compassion and unity cultivated during Ramadan, warning that national peace and security cannot be left in the hands of the government alone.
Speaking after the Eid-el-Fitr prayers at the Dodan Barracks Eid Ground in Lagos, marking the end of Ramadan, Tinubu stressed that Nigerians must continue the virtues of charity, love and good neighbourliness beyond the holy month.
“We thank Almighty God for guiding us through Ramadan. But the lessons and sacrifices must not end with the month. The spirit of giving, peace and love for one another must continue,” he said.
The president emphasised that security remains a shared responsibility, urging citizens to be vigilant and volunteer useful information to authorities.
“The stability and security of this nation is not the responsibility of one man alone. We are all involved. We must be ready to provide information — sensitive information — about suspicious movements and activities across the country,” Tinubu stated.
He also urged Nigerians to obey the laws of the land and embrace peaceful coexistence across religious and ethnic lines, describing Nigeria as a model of diversity that must be preserved.
According to him, despite differences in religious practices, both Muslims and Christians worship the same God and must therefore live in harmony.
“Our diversity is our strength. We must accept one another as brothers and sisters. Whether through Islam or Christianity, we all serve one God. Let us reflect this in how we treat one another,” he added.
Tinubu further called for prayers for national peace and stability, urging citizens to contribute positively to society and support one another, especially the vulnerable.
Eid-el-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a month observed by Muslims worldwide through fasting, prayer and acts of charity.

Cum4me: Buhari wasted complete 8 year's with no single inspect to the society. Now Tinubu is about to run for another 4 years with nothing for the common man. No refinery is working... No electricity..bad roads everywhere insecurity is worse then anything and many are even praising him because they're part of the looting association. How will a party rule for over 10 years and they can't give constant electricity and some are very happy about the bad governance. Sometimes I feel real terrible headache thinking about this country. It's getting worse and worse we all know Tinubu will definitely rig the next election and nothing will happen. It's a complete 16 years of setback and waste Nigerians are getting exactly what they deserve |

Crime › Re: Court Jails Man, Fines N3m For Trafficking 141 Kg Cannabis by IbnB: 10:33pm On Mar 19 |
Jakumo: Nigeria's Nation Assembly members are at this very moment following the directive issued in 2025 by the NDLEA head, General Marwa, to draft a framework for the legalization, taxation, regulation, and industrialized cultivation of medical marijuana in Nigeria. This revolutionary item of legislature will transform the economy of Nigeria and bring about massive cash infusions into the Nigerian economy.
While this new landmark legislation has not been PASSED as yet in early 2026, the optimization of NDLEA operations should ideally entail cracking down on truly dangerous drugs like cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, Rohypnol, and even codeine cough syrup, while evolving a progressive policy of issuing warnings or imposing far lighter jail sentences than in the past, when penalizing drug offenders who are found in possession of cannabis alone, but who are NOT found to be in possession of the deadly poisons listed above.
Ironically the sometimes violent outlaws who profit massively from the illegal cultivation of marijuana will NOT be happy to learn that cannabis will soon be legalized in Nigeria, and reclassified as an industrial product that ANY law-abiding citizen can cultivate under specific conditions. Putting those criminals out of business so that cannabis can be cultivated legally must now become a top priority for the National Assembly, as a vehicle to hasten the commencement of medical marijuana cultivation and industrialized refinement as multi-billion dollar revenue generators for Nigeria. Stop dreaming bro this is never going to happen |
