I think this scenario makes Room for än exception and theres sense in what fineboynl is saying. A colleague Once Played a 3 Week acca för 6million, the last match was stoke vs man utd, he have man utd straight win, before the match, we adviced him to stake 1mil on stoke/draw whose Odd was 2.20, now these were the two possible outcomes we weighed;
1. If man utd won as he predicted, he löses his 1million but wins the 6million ticket but;

2. If man utd loses or draws, his 1mill on stoke/x returns him 2.2mil which is his 1mil + 1.2mil profit.

It was a Win/Win situation but he declined anyways, i guess he had so much faith in man utd. match ended 1-1 draw, he still regrets not taking the advise. He Played that acca with just 2k by the way
