In this chart you can see that Raphinha is average in all the attribute that would qualify him as a World class winger

While Dembouz is hitting high percentile in every attribute that qualify a world class winger except Goal Scoring which might be due to him having a bad season scoring wise (Heck, even Messi was poor at Goal scoring last season )
Dembele scored 11 goals in 20/21 and had the same amount of goals Raphinha scored in the League

Even the last season Raphinha only score 7 goals apart from penalties, which is just pure Average for a €72m player, so I don't understand ur hype on his goal Scoring as he is not even great at it

This again is another huge misconception, Dembele fit or not isn't a thoroughly better player than Raphina. C'mon. Don't allow the last season's wonder of Dembele to fool you, he hasn't proven anything yet. He still has a lot to do to get to that world-class rating that we are classifying him to be among right now. Raphina is a better goalscorer, and shooter and more confidence in the final third than Dembele is, or ever was.

I don't get the hype honestly. This guy is good but not so good. I'd rather have a player that can combine with a simple pass, cross, or dribble into the box to decimate defenses than one that relies on only cross and nod football.

Relying on fati or dembele to be fit for even a month is a very big gamble, and to be honest we don't really know how good Fati could be, the sample size of games he's played is too small. Ferran Torres, I don't have to say anything about that guy.

I am surprised that some fans haven't learned their lessons as regards Dembele. The earlier we accepted that Dembele is inconsistent and cannot be relied upon for a whole season, the better for us.

I am glad the board have discovered this and decided to bring in another player who can compete and replace him competently if need be.

Also remember Dembele is renewing for only two years. So it means this contract soap opera and merry-go-round will start all over again next summer? I dont think anyone at the club is ready to have another game of cat and mouse with Dembele and his agent.

So yes, Barca made a good decision to sign Raphinha. His fee might have been higher than expected but it was Chelsea meddlesomeness that jerked up the market value.

Besides, we would be getting a player who really want to play for us. Not some mercenaries looking for the highest bidder.

And you cannot always rely on the player's willingness to play for us. You have to do your part too as a club. It is good that player wants to join us but it is not enough. No player will stunt their growth just because they are waiting to join another club. If you were the player, will you wait for the club?
