NYSC / Way Forward On Hijab Issue And Terrorism. by IbXavier: 12:38am On Jan 11, 2016
WAY FORWARD ON HIJAB ISSUE AND TERRORISM.

(DIRECTED TO NIGERIAN AUTHORITIES, NIGERIANS and BEYOND)

Resolution of MCAN GENERAL COUNCIL and other ISLAMIC BODIES

Date of Release: Sun, 10th of Jan, 2016 which corresponds to (29th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1437AH),

In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful

Alhamdulillah (Praise belongs to Almighty Allah (God)). Representatives of Muslim Corpers’ Association of Nigeria (MCAN) at all levels (National, Zonal and State) gathered at the Conference Room of Abuja Central Mosque yesterday ; Saturday,9th of January ,2016 which corresponded to (28th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1437 AH) to hold an all day long meeting on several Islamic related issues in the country. Today, Sunday,10th of January ,2016 which corresponds to (29th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1437AH), another phase of the meeting was held by MCAN, represented by the National Amir; Abdullah Imam Ishaq and the Secretary General; Abdulaslam Adam Olalekan and leaders of other Islamic bodies such as (Muslim Student Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Jamaa'atu Nasrul Islam (JNI), Muslim Professionals in Dawah (MPD), Dawah Institute of Nigeria (DIN), Federation of Muslim Women Associations of Nigeria (FOMWAN), Abuja Muslim Forum (AMF) and National Council of Muslim Youths Organization in Nigeria (NACOMYO)) in regards to Islamic affairs in Nigeria.

A resolution was made at both meetings to condemn any attempt to Ban Hijab in future and Recommendations were also suggested to the respective Authorities within the country on the way forward with regards to TERRORISM and HIJAB. The recommendations are as follow;

TOWARDS ENDING TERRORISM
The Federal Government (FG) should create a Religious Affairs Commission or Office of the Special Assistant/Adviser to the president on religious matters;
• This commission or office should supervise the activities of religious groups across the country and report to the presidency. This will provide a first-hand information for tackling terrorist groups from cradle.
• The commission should be in the right position to advice the presidency in taking actions or making comments that affect religious institutions.
• The commission or office should also carry out programs that will educate and enlighten vulnerable individuals to immune them from the corrupt ideology of destructive agents.

TOWARDS CORRECTING HIJAB MISCONCEPTIONS:
It is no News that the presidency and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have dissociated themselves from the media purported ban on HIJAB. Therefore writers of such false News (Ban of HIJAB) are identified as potential agents for destroying the peaceful coexistence of Nigerians. Thus, the following are further recommended;
• Total use of investigative journalism and legal prosecution of journalist who report false, misleading or distorted News which may amount to disruption of public peace, orderliness and a selective blackmail of the integrity of the present government.
• All Muslim Sisters putting on Hijab should humbly submit to security checks
• However, as a follow up to the immediate point, Security personnel should refrain from harassing Muslim Sisters who are adorned in HIJAB as it amounts to Human Right Violation. Checks should also be conducted in accordance with morals of the Land.
• The NYSC as a scheme is for promoting NATIONAL INTEGRATION AND UNITY, it should therefore fully recognize all religious values such as HIJAB, Worship Time/ Period and Festivities. If not so, we humbly appeal for the review of the NYSC By laws.
• NYSC and Tertiary Education institutions should be an avenue where people acquire morality and discipline, not promiscuity and immorality. The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) kit (some transparent White Tops and very Short Nickers) tends to promote immorality and even prostitution or Sex Trade, we therefore seek redress.

We appreciate the effort of president Muhamadu Buhari for his visionary leadership style as we are confident that he will lead the country to the promise land and also, the Director General (DG) NYSC Brigadier General Bamidele Olawunmi Johnson for his fatherly love , care and above all approving hijab up to the knee level and a three quarter trouser. We therefore urge all prospective and serving Corps Members to strictly adhere to the progress recorded, be good citizens of Nigeria and above all, a true representative of their respective Faith.

MCAN deeply appreciate the collective support of the populace in the rescue of the UMUADA Community Mosque Aba, Abia State, more update will be given to that effect In Shaa Allah (God Willing).

NYSC / Awakening Analysis by IbXavier: 7:44pm On Jan 03, 2016
AWAKENING ANALYSIS

What you are about to read might be difficult to believe, therefore, grab your calculator(s) to recalculate as you wish.

Do you know that some PURE WATER HAWKERS and ROAD SIDE FOOD VENDORS earn more than a lot of GRADUATES working for Federal Government ?

Do you know that some DRIVERS EARN more than BANKERS ?

Do you also know that some TANKER DRIVERS might earn more than some oil COMPANY WORKERS.

PROVE:
Let's divide the average SALARY of the above mentioned (white collar job workers) by 30 days and see the outcome (i.e. Apprx the number of days in a month and see the funny thing about the salary plans). Read below..........

An average level 12 worker in the state government civil service earns about ₦60,000 monthly,
Daily income :
₦60,000÷30 days = ₦2,000 every day. This is LESS THAN the amount realized as profit by some ROAD SIDE FOOD VENDORS (Mama Put) in cities or OKADA MAN on a daily basis

A freshly EMPLOYED GRADUATE BANKER in most NIGERIAN BANKS earns an average of about ₦120,000 monthly.
Daily income :
₦120,000÷30 days = ₦4,000.
This is LESS THAN the amount earned DAILY by some DRIVERS in the cities, even "Keke NAPEP drivers".

FRESH GRADUATE EMPLOYEES in some oil companies earn an average of ₦300,000 monthly.
Daily income
₦300,000 ÷ 30 days = ₦10,000.
This is LESS THAN the daily amount earned by an IRRIGATION FARMER supplying vegetables to Lagos MARKETS, a TIPPER VEHICLE DRIVER supplying sand for three BLOCK INDUSTRIES and a CONSTRUCTION SITE just 3 times a day and DRIVERS of DANGOTE TRUCKS who have bought off the trucks at scrap value and are using them to transport products between villages and the cities for just five business owners.

MOST AMAIZING OF ALL........
NYSC ( CORPS MEMBERS)
Daily income
₦19,800÷30days = ₦ 660.
Some PURE WATER HAWKERS earn more than this, some ROADSIDE ROASTED YAM/PLANTAIN VENDORS earn MORE than this daily, same applies to so many other professions some graduates look down upon.

Guess it is now SINKING IN, RIGHT?

Funny enough, when financial assistance is needed within the family, the DRIVERS, HAWKERS and likes look up to those with a WHITE COLLAR JOB.

thanks, it was a misquote as you stated, Your points are also good for the country. However i guess the motive of my post is gotten

RFCs:
There is a flaw right from the beginning of your post, you wrote

"As at 7th of December 2015, Naira to dollar stood at ₦250 to $1, which was the highest fall of Naira to Dollar in history (Reference 1). As at today 28th of December, 2015, Naira to dollar stands at ₦197 to $1 (Reference 2), this shows there is an improvement"

Below are my opinions.

#1. It shows you didn't do a good research and like so many "copy and paste blogger" just paste some reports for us.
#2 You didn't thoroughly read through your reference.

Your flaw is that you gave a Black Market or parallel market rate for #250 on 7 Dec and you quote Central Bank rate as of 28th December which stood at 197.

When I saw your quote above, I had to check because never in the history of Nigeria have we made any significance improvement at any time.
Cenbank rate

Date
12/30/2015
USD Buying(NGN)Central(NGN)Selling(NGN)
196. 196.5 197
12/07/2015
196. 196.5 197

There are several problems to our financial crisis.

1. Misappropriation of fund.
2. Avoidance of taxes e.g black markets is a big market yet no taxes would be paid to federal government.
3. Corruption.
4. Zero Accountability. e.t.c

Solutions:

Every kobo of federal gov. must be accounted for.
Taxes invasion is a serious crime and highly organised one, government must be willing to penalize even those in government
Reduce Nigeria's current corruption level by 10% for a start.
Funds must be spent on projects not pockets.

The current price of the Nigerian naira is systematically caused by the price shock in oil sales and the dwindling economy in Nigeria.
This issues are basically also aggravated by the slow policies by the present regime in the face of huge price shocks across the oil and gas industries to which Nigeria gets 85% of its revenue. The forces of economics is playing out here as the total receipts is less than total payments in the economy and this affects the price of Naira relative to other foreign currencies.Nigeria was using a floating exchange regime as against the pegging and fixing of price the current CBN is using to absorb the effect of devaluation in our currency.
Now to come to your support of outright ban of naira ATM card abroad,it is anti-growth strategy as this is a short term solution.I am quite aware that the CBN is using its Reserve to pay for the difference between the pegged price and the real price(black market ).That may be the reason of banning the ATM card as it can not continue to deplete its rreserve and also source for scarce dollars to pay back mastercard and visa card companies.CBN also restricted 41 types of import, ban wire transfer all this will aggregate to strangulate international businesses as our blue chip companies can not pay their merchant abroad, meet their loan obligations, buy raw materials and the economic consequences is that businesses are closing, jobs are being lost, factories are packing up.Students studying abroad are not the ones majorly affected that is why i am suprised about your analysis of only mentioning Nigerian students and encouraging the currency restrictions and ban on ATM

with due respect sir , i did not insinuate i am an economics expert nor did i study economics as my major. In reality , which country can have a close, especially a country like Nigeria. Ban of ATM doees not mean all source to get money out of Nigeria is blocked , it can only reduce it to an extent. Alll i post was to encourage the reduction of outflow of naira and promotion of Stuffs that will bring more inflow of naira. this can be collectively attained by Government and Nigerians at large.

cooooooks:
This analysis is deeply flawed.

It's no secret that the Nigerian education sector cannot contain all willing & able students. We have some good schools & teachers but not nearly enough. And the sector can't help those who have slight difficulties in studying/learning. Hence, abroad study is a given.

Banning use of Nigerian ATM abroad is tantamount to declaring the country a closed economy. Well, at least until oil prices go up again according to the CBN. You claim to understand economics, if so, then you must know that closed economies don't work: no/reduced competition, lack of investment (foreign & local), high interest rates, etc.

Based on CBN numbers, there is actually excess dollars in the country but because we have an official market (rate) and a "parallel" market (rate), most of the dollars come in through the parallel market (because you get more naira when you exchange) and most of the exiting dollars leave through the official market. Feyi Fawehinmi wrote on this today: https:///7H0s01 . Bottom line is the better policy is to float the naira and merge markets.

This is also the best time for Nigerians to challenge govt to build more infrastructure to support diversification into other sector , better education system , job creation and so on. I want appreciate your courage to put this up for criticism and also for revealing your perspective. I enjoyed all the intellectual arguments that is prevalent in the comments that followed your post. However, I wish to let you know that I have reservations about your post like many other Nigerians. I strongly believe the fact that you don't seem to have been chanced to study outside Nigeria, your views lack objectivity and as a result it is one sided. A lot of Nigerians travel to foreign countries to study on scholarship. Guess what? Most of them are sponsored by foreign bodies. I know more than 80 who have benefitted but am sure there are thousands of Nigerians or even millions that have benefitted and are still benefitting. These people return to Nigeria spending the savings from their stipends here in Nigeria. Infact majority spend some of their hard earned foreign currency in the this country by assisting folks and family. So, it's quite pathetic that your argument was based on what is spent abroad not what is coming in. You don't know why we study abroad. Do we care to improve our system? Everyone blames the government, what have we done as an individual to effect change in our society? Nothing but blaming and blaming. We need massive orientation to help Nigerians know that it's our collective duty and not that of the government alone. People will continue to go out to compete where excellence is celebrated for as long as our system celebrates mediocrity. Let me also educate you that cashless policy cannot stand if such restrictions are placed on debit cards. Why are we acting confused? At this current age and time where everyone is talking about cashless policies and banks are making life easier for their customers, we are making life difficult for our customers. I know people from UK, USA, Canada, South Africa who use their cards here. I wonder why we have to make life difficult for some of our citizens because they make less than 20% of the population? What affects one Nigerian should affect all that is what is ideal and what we should encourage. The only way out is to reduce the limit of what u can spend and not outright cancellation. The government should think of Nigerians who study without sponsorship and the fact that they have to travel with a lot of money in cash which sometimes are not allowed depending on the amount.

Thank you sir for your well constructed response , Actually , i schooled in Ghana , i understand how some Nigerians lavish money there , that was why i focused on Ghana. moreso i also recommended it that government should provide alternatives for those schooling abroad , however the amount they can spend should be regulated in other to reduce excessive spending. we are insinuating almost the same thing.
once again , Thank you sir.

With due respect to all, I read most of the comments and i am happy with some while i notice that some people did not actually understand the spirit of my post. Like i stated , i am not an economics expert , i just used the little knowledge i have to do the analysis , Pardon me for any Blunder, all the same , i believe i made a significant level of sense. Actually , i schooled in Ghana , that was why i focused on the educational sector using Ghana as a case study.

No one is saying Nigerians should suffer , In my post , i equally advised that government should provide an alternative for those schooling abroad and genuine business persons, also our education system should be worked upon to reduce the amount of Nigerians going out to school , this will also encourage foreigners to come and school in Nigeria. there are equally other Aspects that are taking huge chunk of money away from Nigeria. Those taking money out to flex should invest it in Nigeria .

As others also stated , Government should also provide infrastructure to promote investment in Nigeria. That is it. i am sure the money going out of Nigeria to other countries will be more than 10 trillion Naira , though we also have money flowing inwards , however this policy will help prevent politicians and co who waste money abroad, provided the policy is not bias

This is a personal analysis which is subjected to empirically backed criticism.

As at 7th of December 2015, Naira to dollar stood at ₦250 to $1, which was the highest fall of Naira to Dollar in history (Reference 1). As at today 28th of December, 2015, Naira to dollar stands at ₦197 to $1 (Reference 2), this shows there is an improvement.

All the same, have you ever asked why the value of Naira keeps dropping, Have you ever imagine if exchange rate of naira to dollar stands at ₦500 to $1, Did you make research on why use of NAIRA ATM abroad was ban ? (Kindly read reference 4 to know why). All these will help us understand the effect of the Ban of Naira ATM usage outside Nigeria.

It’s no news that some Nigerians in Diaspora are working towards protesting against the ban of Naira ATM abroad, especially those studying. With due respect, it's shameful that some Students who schooled or are schooling outside the country, especially those who offered or are offering business related courses do not understand why the inability to use Naira ATM outside Nigeria will be better off in the long run. Let’s kindly visit Economics as a course before complaining, though I am not an economics expert but I will apply the fair knowledge I have by the grace of God.

Let’s start with a simple analysis, this analysis will focus mainly on those schooling outside Nigeria;

SCENARIO ONE
Schooling Abroad and its effect on Naira. (Nigerians Schooling in Ghana as a case study)
The case study below is used for about 200,000 Nigerians schooling in Ghana, according to statistical fact (Reference 3)
Scenario Effect on Naira & Nigeria economy
1. Average School fees for a student per year ₦400,000_ Naira Out , Nothing In ,
2. Accommodation for about ₦100,000_ Naira Out , Nothing In,
3. Living expense of about ₦300,000 _ Naira Out , Nothing In,
Total expenses incurred by a Foreign trained Nigerian annually _₦800,000 Out, Nothing In.

Cost for 200,000 students per year ₦160,000,000,000 (₦160B)
Total expenses in 4 years ₦640,000,000,000 Out, Nothing In

Note:
Living expenses of 200,000 foreign trained in Ghana alone for a year is about ₦60,000,000,000 (₦60B)

Over 200,000 Nigerian were schooling in Ghana as at 2013.
(Reference 3)
SCENARIO TWO
1. Mr Ade imports phone to sell in Nigeria with about ₦100,000 each.
2. A student who schools in Ghana left this phone to buy the same worth of phone in Ghana.
EFFECT OF SCENARIO TWO
1. ₦100,000 gone out of Nigeria, ₦100,000 worth of Phone Imported (balanced)
2. ₦100,000 worth of phone ignored by student, yet such student took another ₦100,000 out of Nigeria to buy same phone in Ghana without any return to Nigeria. This means Nigeria has lost 100,000 to the Ghana Market despite having such product in Nigeria. Funny enough, if such phone is stolen before such student gets back to Nigeria, it means such student has made Ghana economy ₦100,000 better.

In one semester, an average Nigerian Schooling in Ghana must have spent about 800,000 of Nigerian currency in Ghana. Assuming we have about 200,000 Nigerians schooling in Ghana, it means about ₦160B is spent in Ghana education system within a year without any monetary return for Nigeria. Assuming this 160B is invested in Business , it would have been better because we would get goods in return for such chunk of money going out of the country , bear in mind that there are a lot of Nigerian students scattered around the world, Just imagine how much schooling abroad alone is taking out of Nigerian economy annually, imagine how much money spent on luxurious items , Health and so on in Ghana and other countries, Trillions of Naira. Have you imagined what it would look like if these monies are invested in our educational sector? That by the way.

After schooling abroad, some of the foreign trained do not even think of coming back to create jobs in the country, they rather think of coming back to earn from a white collar job, having used their certificate to bully home trained Nigerian Graduates. Does this really justify the huge amount spent on education outside Nigeria, Though, it’s a fact that knowledge must have been acquired and one can spend as much as possible to acquire knowledge.

As an average Nigerian Schooling outside the country, it’s normal to feel very bad when such news is broken (Ban of Naira ATM abroad). However, it will be a big disgrace to jump up to protest over it without understanding what is being protested about.
The question is simple ,
1. Do we prefer the value of naira to keep falling while we have access to spend naira anyhow outside Nigeria or we reduce the amount of naira going out and maintain a valuable naira.
2. The amount of Nigerians in diaspora are not up to 20% of those in Nigeria, thus , do we suffer those in Nigeria for the happiness of those in Diaspora or those who travel out to flex on vacation.

Imagine you wake up one day to see the exchange rate of naira to dollar standing at 500 Naira to 1 Dollar, Do you think it will be easy for parents to pay fees abroad.

SUGGESTIONS
1. Students schooling or intending to school abroad should rather think of how government can help in providing a means for students to transfer their school fees and money for upkeep. Though, this should be regulated, but not to protest over the Ban of ATM usage Abroad. NANS Excos and other student activist abroad should get to work on how to get alternatives for students to get money abroad. Who knows , students might be allowed to use Naira ATM abroad but lets consider the effect.
2. Most traveling outside Nigeria , especially within African countries should stop the habit of taking naira out to buy what can be bought in Nigeria , eg Phones , Laptop e.t.c
3. This is also the best avenue to challenge the government to work on the educational sector of Nigeria so that Nigerians will stop wasting chunk of money on schooling outside. In Ghana alone, Nigerians spends about 160,000,000,000 on education. The question is ;
a. How many people come to Nigeria to study or spend such money?
b. How many countries appreciate the monies spent by Nigerians in their economy.
Thus, if government won’t allow free usage of Naira ATM for students, then, they should provide alternatives or better our education system by scrapping JAMB and POST JAMB.

RECOMMENDATIONS TO LEARNED COLLEAGUES
Please let's apply what we learnt in school. When we spend more of our currency to import without Export, the value of Naira will keep dropping. So let’s plead to government to rather work on a policy to support fees payment and up keep money for students schooling abroad, also for business men. Also why are we not thinking of business we can do in abroad , afterwards , we send the little money you earn to Nigerian banks.

CONCLUSION
This literally mean , we are giving out without receiving except from petrol which is our major source of income , NB , price of Petrol is also dropping. If you give out without receiving you must reduce in whatever you have. This is one of the reasons why naira is dropping value. Therefore, ban of Naira ATM use outside Nigeria is a good policy. I don’t care who the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria is but I salute him/her for this. At least , this Policy should be maintained till Naira can be equivalent to about ₦100 – $1 dollars. If buhari Claims to take ₦1-$1, Do we think he will just perform Miracles, these are some of the ways to achieve it. Lets think of what to do so that others will come and spend or invest in our economy, However, there should be a way out for those who genuinely need to use the ATM outside Nigeria (Businessmen, students and likes ) Surely Politicians and those who pay visit to other countries Should be totally BANNED from use of Naira ATM abroad, amount taken out of Nigeria should be regulated.

This write up is not in any way to support any political party but for the betterment of Nigeria. Change and betterment will not occur if we won’t pay the price, ABOVE ALL, THIS IS A TEMPORARY MEASURE FOR THE SAKE OF STABILIZING THINGS. It is mainly geared towards those who spend naira on luxurious stuffs abroad.

Thank you for reading, comments to enlighten me are welcomed.

Banning the use of ATM cards abroad ain't the solution to Naira's problem.
You can't send Western union out from Nigeria to other countries, when Nigerians abroad get low on cash and decides to steal, Una go say them dey bring us bad name.
Another bullshit.
Who are you gonna deceive with that pile of steaming shiit you just wrote.
I have a degree in Marketing.
You're making Nigerians look uneducated.
Have you heard of Pegged Exchange Rate ??
It's a type of Exchange Rate regime where a currency's value is fixed against either the value of another single currency.
In a fixed exchange-rate system, a country’s central bank typically uses an open market mechanism and is committed at all times to buy and/or sell its currency at a fixed price in order to maintain its pegged ratio and, hence, the stable value of its currency in relation to the reference to which it is pegged. The central bank provides the assets and/or the foreign currency or currencies which are needed in order to finance any payments imbalances.
The last large economy to use a fixed exchange rate system was the People's Republic of China which, in July 2005, adopted a slightly more flexible exchange rate system called a managed exchange rate. The European Exchange Rate Mechanism is also used on a temporary basis to establish a final conversion rate against the Euro (€) from the local currencies of countries joining the Eurozone.
Jamaica, United kingdom and the United States of America also used the method.

I wish i can see you face to face so i can seize your degree and send your ass back to primary school

What a wonderful submission, with due respect sir, maybe you should write to the CBN or President's office to put this into consideration. DO you think they have not thought of all these. if they did not , you can enlighten them. All the same , your last paragraph was is not necessary.

All the same, have you ever asked why the value of Naira keeps dropping its value, Have you ever imagine if exchange rate of naira to dollar stands at ₦500 to $1, Did you make research on why use of NAIRA ATM abroad was ban ?

Let’s start with a simple analysis, this analysis will focus mainly on those schooling outside Nigeria;

3. This is also the best avenue to challenge the government to work on the educational sector of Nigeria so that Nigerians will stop wasting chunk of money on schooling outside. In Ghana alone, Nigerians spends about 160,000,000,000 on education. The question is ;

NYSC / Mcan Identifies Corps Members Involved In Benin Accident (all 2015 Batch B/2) by IbXavier: 9:07am On Dec 21, 2015
BENIN ACCIDENT UPDATE
As at 12:30 pm : Sunday , 20th of December , 2015 which corresponds to (8th of Rabbi'al-Awwal 1437 AH )

MCAN, through its Akwa Ibom State Amir (president ) was informed by the park authorities that the bus involved in the accident is not registered under the Union of the park , therefore they have no information about the Passengers of the bus. However , they admitted the bus left from Itam park.

MCAN, through its Benin state Amir visited the University of Benin Teaching hospital where the victims were rushed to as contrary to the earlier information we got that they were taken to the General Hospital in Benin. It was gathered that three(3) corps members alongside some survivors are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
So far, MCAN BENIN met some relatives of one of the corps members who was identified yesterday by MCAN through our Administrative Structure and information of registered batch B Corps members who was confirmed to have travelled out of the state.

We also got across to one of the victims' father whom his son happens to be the only MCAN registered member among the victims. The father of the victim confirmed that some relatives have been sent to Benin to visit his son (name withheld). When we contacted these relatives, they explained that they have completed all the necessary documentations to relocate him to Ogun State.

MCAN went further to get the names of the other victims, Two corps members who are OYEBIYI BABAJIDE OYEWALE and BAMIGBOYE OLUMIDE were identified while others are unknown because they could not talk or they are in serious pain. For those whose names are mentioned above, if their relatives are not yet aware , anyone who knows them should kindly communicate to their parents.

There are equally no traceable documents to identify majority of the victims or there relatives. One out of the 3 corps members found so far gave most of the information above. He said he is aware that the corps members who were in the bus are more than three and he also knows he is the only Muslim. He said he does not know if all the corps members taken to the hospital are complete but he saw three out of the 5 corps members who boarded the bus in the hospital.

In Sha Allah, We shall get the info of those who can't talk from the doctor tomorrow morning so that their relatives who might have not heard can be aware.

We have reported to NYSC of Akwa Ibom state and they have taken up the issue. In Sha Allah , MCAN will follow up the rest of the issue to render all possible assistance. Any other information relating to the Accident will be passed across to the media through the NYSC.

Kindly share this for the sake of those whom their relatives might not be aware.

LESSON TO CORPS MEMBERS AND PUBLIC AT LARGE
1. Always board certified buses or company buses when traveling long distance.
2. Make sure you pen down your name and next of kin info before traveling.
3. Those traveling in non company buses should endeavor to call a relative and tell them the plate number of the bus before leaving.
4. All prospective and current serving Muslims Corps members should make sure they Register with MCAN.
5. Corps members should try as much as possible to avoid unnecessary traveling, (though anything that happens it destined to happen).
5. Tell at least an MCAN executives when traveling out of your service state. In fact , it will be better if you can be seen off to the motor pack.
6. Non Muslims should also inform at least a friend or association before traveling, give your next of kin's number to such friend.
7. Always stop to assist when you see incidents like this on the way.

In Sha Allah, Let us continue to support the survivors with prayers.
May Allah grant them speedy recovery. Amin.
Kindly share.
