The Anambra state Police Command has confirmed the kidnapping Igwe of Awgbu, H.R.H Mike Okechukwu, Eze di Ora Mma II.
He was said to have been kidnapped on Sunday evening in Awka, while taking his wife to a hospital to receive medical attention.
Igwe Okechukwu, the second Igwe of Awgbu, was also said to have been kidnapped in his new Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) donated recently by Governor Peter Obi.
His territory is located in Orumba North Local Government Area [LGA] in Anambra and shares common boundary with Agulu, Mbaukwu, Umuawuru, Amaetiti, Amaokpala, Oko and Nanka.
It was also gathered that those who kidnapped the traditional ruler of Abacha town in Idemili South LG, Anambra state, Chief Goddy Mbakwe three days ago have demanded a ransom of N80 million.
