This was stated in a press release issued by the White House on Thursday, declaring its strongest public rebuke toward Israel since the start of the Gaza war. The United States government under President Joe Biden has asked the Israeli government to immediately cease fire in the ongoing war against Hamas militants in Gaza. This was stated in a press release issued by the White House on Thursday, declaring its strongest public rebuke toward Israel since the start of the Gaza war. The US government had also asked the Israeli government to address the safety of aid workers and Palestinian civilians. This new stand of the US government was clearly stated by President Biden in a call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following an Israeli attack on a World Central Kitchen charity convoy this week that killed seven food aid workers. The White House said Biden "made clear the need for Israel to announce and implement a series of specific, concrete, and measurable steps to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of aid workers." Biden "made clear that U.S. policy with respect to Gaza will be determined by our assessment of Israel’s immediate action on these steps," the White Houses statement read. The statement showed a drastic shift in Biden's tone and, for the first time, appeared to include a list of conditions for future US support. Biden steadfastly supported Israel, even as other governments sought to increase pressure on it. His comments were the first time the United States signalled that its continuing support would be conditional. By implying that a shift in US policy towards Gaza was possible if Israel did not address the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian enclave, Biden channelled his own frustration as well as mounting pressure from his Democratic Party's left-leaning political base to end the killings and alleviate hunger among innocent civilians. During a press briefing following the call, White House spokesperson John Kirby declined to clarify on the exact changes the US would make to its policy towards Israel and Gaza. He stated that Washington expected to see an announcement of Israeli actions in the "coming hours and days." Recall that Israel on Monday launched an attack that killed seven workers with the World Central Kitchen group, founded by celebrity chef Jose Andres. Andres told Reuters in an interview on Wednesday that the Israeli attack had targeted his aid workers "systematically, car by car." Israel said on Thursday it would adjust tactics in the Gaza war after describing the attack as the result of a misidentification, and that inquiry findings would be made public soon. The White House has described Biden as outraged and heartbroken by the attack but, prior to Thursday's call, the president had made no fundamental change in Washington's steadfast support for Israel in its conflict against Palestinian Hamas militants. During the call, Biden "underscored that an immediate ceasefire is essential to stabilize and improve the humanitarian situation and protect innocent civilians," the White House said. Biden urged Netanyahu to empower his negotiators to conclude a deal to bring home hostages captured by Hamas in its deadly Oct. 7 attack, it added. In Brussels, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Israel "must meet this moment" by surging humanitarian assistance and ensuring the security of those who provide aid. "If we don't see the changes that we need to see, there'll be changes in our policy," Blinken told reporters. Credit: Jolin Stories on Facebook

Ajayi called on the residents, particularly parents, to advise their wards against crossing the expressways. He said that the agency would be committed to saving lives by enforcing laws in that regard. Credit: Jolin stories on Facebook

Faye has never before held an elected office but several African leaders attended the ceremony in the new town of Diamniadio, near the capital Dakar on Tuesday. 44-year-old Bassirou Diomaye Faye, a left-wing pan Africanist, has been sworn in as Senegal’s youngest president after sweeping to a first-round victory on a pledge of radical reform 10 days after he was released from prison. Faye has never before held an elected office but several African leaders attended the ceremony in the new town of Diamniadio, near the capital Dakar on Tuesday. “Before God and the Senegalese nation, I swear to faithfully fulfil the office of President of the Republic of Senegal,” Faye said before the gathered officials. He also vowed to “scrupulously observe the provisions of the Constitution and the laws” and to defend “the integrity of the territory and national independence, and to spare no effort to achieve African unity”. The formal handover of power with outgoing President Macky Sall will take place at the presidential palace in Dakar. Faye was among a group of political opponents freed from prison 10 days before the March 24 presidential ballot under an amnesty announced by Sall, who had tried to delay the vote. Faye’s campaign was launched while he was still in detention. The former tax inspector becomes the West African state’s fifth president since independence from France in 1960 and the first to openly admit to a polygamous marriage. Working with his populist mentor Ousmane Sonko, who was barred from the election, Faye declared their priorities in his victory speech: national reconciliation, easing a cost-of-living crisis and fighting corruption. The anti-establishment leader has vowed to restore national sovereignty over key assets such as the oil, gas and fishing sectors. Faye wants to leave the regional CFA franc, which he sees as a French colonial legacy, and to invest more in agriculture with the aim of reaching food self-sufficiency. But he has also sought to reassure investors that Senegal “will remain a friendly country and a sure and reliable ally for any partner that engages with us in virtuous, respectful and mutually productive cooperation.” After three tense years and deadly unrest in the traditionally stable nation, his democratic victory was hailed from Washington to Paris, via the African Union and the European Union. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday spoke with the president-elect by telephone and “underscored the United States’ strong interest in deepening the partnership” between their two countries, the State Department said. On the international stage, Faye seeks to bring military-run Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger back into the fold of the regional Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) bloc. Commonly known as Diomaye, or “the honourable one” in the local Serer language, he won the election with 54.3 percent of the vote. It was a remarkable turnaround after the government had dissolved the Pastef party he founded with Sonko in 2014, with Sall postponing the election. Faye, a practising Muslim from a humble background with two wives and four children, represents a new generation of youthful politicians. He has voiced admiration for US ex-president Barack Obama and South African anti-apartheid hero Nelson Mandela. However, Faye and the government he must unveil will quickly face major challenges. He does not have a majority in the National Assembly and will have to look to build alliances to pass new laws, or call a legislative election, which will become an option from mid-November. The biggest challenge will be creating enough jobs in a nation where 75 percent of the 18-million population is aged under 35 and the unemployment rate is officially 20 percent. Many youths have considered the future so bleak they have risked their lives to join the waves of migrants trying to reach Europe. Sall, meanwhile, has been appointed special envoy of the Paris Pact for People and Planet, created to combat poverty, protect the planet and support vulnerable countries.

ISIS Terrorists Ambush Nigerien Soldiers, Capture, Destroy Sophisticated Weapons ISIS Terrorists Ambush Nigerien Soldiers, Capture, Destroy Sophisticated Weapons The heavily armoured vehicle, originally donated by the United States, was a crucial asset for the Nigerien Army in their fight against terrorism, the report indicated. The extremist armed group Islamic State (ISIS) militants have carried out an ambush against the Nigerien Army in Tillabéri. The ambush was a shocking development in the ongoing conflict between terrorists and Niger military. The aftermath of the attack has also revealed some disturbing details about the sophisticated weapons that the militants were able to capture and destroy. One of the most striking pieces of equipment that fell into the hands of the terrorists was a South Africa-made OTT Technologies' Puma M36 MK5 MRAP. The heavily armoured vehicle, originally donated by the United States, was a crucial asset for the Nigerien Army in their fight against terrorism, the report indicated. "Its loss represents a significant blow to the military capabilities of the country and raises concerns about the security situation in the region." In addition to the MRAP, the terrorists also "seized a rare Singapore-made STK/CIS 40 AGL auto grenade launcher. This weapon is known for its high accuracy and devastating firepower, making it a prized possession for any armed group. The fact that ISIS was able to capture such a sophisticated piece of equipment is a troubling sign of their growing strength and influence in the region. "They also acquired a cache of 107mm Chinese Type 63-2 HE rockets, as well as KPV and Type 85 heavy machine guns. These weapons are highly destructive and capable of causing widespread damage, posing a serious threat to the security and stability of the region. "The presence of such advanced weaponry in the hands of ISIS militants is a cause for concern and underscores the need for increased international support to combat the growing terrorist threat in Niger. "In addition to the heavy weaponry, the militants also seized a number of AKM/Type 56 assault rifles. These rifles are commonly used by insurgent groups around the world and are known for their reliability and effectiveness in combat." According to the Family Writers Press International, for the fact that ISIS was able to acquire a significant number of these rifles further highlights their ability to outgun and outmaneuver the Nigerien Army. "The implications of this ambush are clear - ISIS is gaining ground and becoming more emboldened in their attacks on Nigerien security forces. The sophisticated weaponry that they have been able to capture demonstrates their growing capabilities and poses a serious threat to the stability of the region. "The international community must step up its support for Niger in order to prevent further escalation of the conflict and to ensure the security of the country and its people. "The ambush in Tillabéri and the subsequent capture of advanced weaponry by ISIS militants is a troubling development that highlights the growing threat of terrorism in Niger. The loss of the MRAP and other sophisticated weapons is a significant setback for the Nigerien Army and underscores the need for increased support from the international community. "It is crucial that the government of Niger and its allies take decisive action to combat ISIS and prevent further attacks on innocent civilians and security forces. Failure to do so could have dire consequences for the stability and security of the region."

However, air defences downed all the missiles. Russia launched a missile attack on Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, early on Thursday, injuring at least 10 people and damaging residential buildings and industrial facilities, city officials said. However, air defences downed all the missiles. According to Reuters, the head of Ukraine military administration, Serhiy Popko, said the first attack in recent weeks targeted the city with both ballistic and cruise missiles. "After a pause of 44 days, the enemy launched another missile attack on Kyiv," he said. "All emergency services are working on sites. Clearing the consequences of the missile attack is underway." Mayor Vitali Klitschko said at least 10 people were injured across the city. An 11-year-old girl was among the two people taken to hospital, city officials said. Ukraine's air defences shot down all 31 Russian missiles targeting the capital, the air force commander said. Popko said the Russian military used strategic bombers and also launched some missiles from its territory, while following complicated manoeuvres in neighbouring regions, the missiles targeted the city from different directions. Air alerts lasted for nearly three hours. Klitschko said missile debris hit several residential buildings, industrial sites, and a kindergarten across the city. Residents of a multi-storey building in the central district of Shevchenkivskyi were evacuated after one of the apartments caught fire. The attack also shattered windows in several houses nearby, and set private cars ablaze, Popko said. What's your thought on this?

The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has revealed why he wears the same outfit whenever he appears in court. Responding to a journalist who asked why he was wearing the same attire on Tuesday, Kanu said, "They didn't give me any outfit." Reports that Kanu, on Tuesday, urged the Federal High Court to send him to Kuje prison. He alleged that the Department of State Services had no medical facility to treat him, adding that there was a conspiracy for him to die in the DSS custody.

Justice Omotosho adjourned the matter after Kanu’s counsel, Alloy Ejimakor, indicated his interest in responding to a counter affidavit jointly filed by the DSS and its Director-General. Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has fixed April 18 for the hearing of the N1billion suit filed by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, against the Nigerian government and the Department of State Services (DSS). Gbenga Oladimeji, who appeared for the Nigerian government, had upon resumed hearing of the matter on Monday informed the court that they were yet to file their response on behalf of 1st and 2nd defendants because he had only been notified about the process Monday morning though they had been served since March 6. He prayed for an adjournment to enable him to respond appropriately, but the DSS lawyer, Abdul Danlami, said they had filed their counter affidavit in opposition to Kanu’s plea. At that point, Ejimakor sought an adjournment to enable him to file a further affidavit in response to fresh issues raised by the DSS in their counter affidavit and Justice Omotosho adjourned the matter until April 18 for adoption of processes. Recall that Kanu, through his lawyer, Ejimakor, had filed the latest suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1633/2023 for the enforcement of his fundamental rights while in detention. The IPOB leader’s lawyer in the originating motion dated and filed December 4, the applicant sued the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN), Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), DSS and its DG as 1st to 4th respondents respectively. The suit was filed according to Order II, Rules 1 & 2 of the Fundamental Rights Enforcement Procedure Rules 2009, among others. Kanu in the motion, prayed for eight reliefs including “A declaration that the respondents’ act of forcible seizure and photocopying of confidential legal documents pertaining to facilitating the preparation of his defence which were brought to him at the respondents’ detention facility by his lawyers, amounted to denial of his rights to be defended by legal practitioners of his own choice. “A declaration that the respondents’ act of refusing or preventing his counsel from taking notes of details of counsel’s professional discussions/consultations with him at DSS detention is wrong,” which according to him, amounted to a denial of his right to be given adequate facilities for the preparation of his defence by legal practitioners of his own choice. “A declaration that the respondents’ act of eavesdropping on his confidential consultations/conversations with his lawyers on matters relating to the preparation of his defence during the lawyers’ visitations amounted to a denial of applicant’s right to be given adequate facilities for the preparation of his defence and to be defended by legal practitioners of his own choice.” The detained IPOB leader described the acts as illegal, unlawful, unconstitutional and constituted an infringement of his fundamental right to fair hearing as enshrined and guaranteed under Section 36(6)(b) & (c) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Article 7(1)(c) of the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights. He also sought “An order of injunction restraining and prohibiting the respondents from their act of forcible seizure and photocopying of confidential legal documents brought to him at the detention facility by his lawyers. “An order compelling the respondents to issue an official letter of apology to him for the infringement of his fundamental right to a fair hearing. “An order mandating the respondents to jointly and severally pay the sum of N1 billion as damages for the mental, emotional, psychological and other damages he suffered as a result of the breach of his rights.” What's your thought on this?

PHOTONEWS: Nigerian Military Headquarters Releases Identities Of 17 Officers, Soldiers Killed In Delta State

May their gentle soul rest in peace 😭😭 |
The Nigerian Army on Monday told the Okuama community, where 16 of its personnel on peace mission were killed that no amount of propaganda would arm-twist the narrative, while warning them that they should be ready to face the wrath of the law for their alleged complicity in the crime. A statement on Monday by the Director Army Public Relations, Maj Gen Onyema Nwachukwu, alleged that the community's complicity in the killing of its personnel had made it resort to media propaganda and shenanigans, rather than engage in a positive effort to fish out the perpetrators. Titled, "Resort To Propaganda By Okuama Community In The Face Of Gruesome Murder Of Troops On Peace Mission Is Callous And Totally Condemnable," General Nwachukwu assured the law-abiding citizens of the community that there would be no reprisal on the part of the troops. He said that the operation of the troops in the community was basically to identify and isolate the criminals to account for their atrocious deeds. The statement partly read: "The unfortunate killing of troops of 181 Amphibious Battalion of the Nigerian Army (NA), while on a peaceful and mediatory mission, after a reported case of communal clash between Okuama and Okoloba Communities in Ughelli South and Bomadi LGAs of Delta State respectfully is not only despicable but should be unreservedly condemned by all. "These were troops committed to peace and security of lives and property of citizens and non-citizens alike in the Niger Delta Region, murdered in cold blood by an armed youth gang of Okuama Community, in the most gruesome, heartless and cruel manner and went ahead to sacrilegiously debase their remains by ripping out their hearts by the very people they were there to protect." It added, "Regrettably, the community complicit in this dastardly act has resorted to media propaganda and shenanigans, rather than engage in a positive effort to fish out the perpetrators of this heinous crime. This again is a clear indication that the murder of the troops was a communally orchestrated attack against legitimate forces. "The falsehood being peddled by these criminals and their cohorts to whip up sentiments and sway the public to coverup, endorse or support the outrageous criminal acts of their armed youth gang should be disregarded in its entirety, it is only a ridiculous attempt at justifying their crime, rather than turn in themselves to security agencies. There is no amount of propaganda that would arm-twist the narrative, they are complicit and must be ready to face the wrath of the law. "While law-abiding citizens are assured that there will be no reprisal on the part of the troops, we enjoin all to go about their normal activities, even as ongoing efforts are scaled up to positively identify and isolate the criminals to account for their atrocious deeds.

At least four foreign students have been injured after a Hindu far-right mob allegedly stormed a university hostel in India’s western Gujarat state and attacked the group of students for offering prayers during the holy month of Ramadan, local media has reported. According to Al Jazeera, India’s Ministry of External Affairs on Sunday pledged to take “strict actions against the perpetrators”, as the local police in the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi said an investigation was underway in connection with the attack at the Gujarat University. The students told local media that a small group had gathered on Saturday night inside the boys’ hostel premises for the Ramadan tarawih prayer as there is no mosque on the university campus based in Ahmedabad. Soon after, a mob armed with sticks and knives stormed the hostel, attacked them and vandalised their rooms, they said. “A group of 15 students were offering prayers when three people came and started shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ [Hail lord Ram]. They objected to us praying here,” local media quoted a student as saying. “After some time, about 250 people came and shouted ‘Jai Shri Ram’. They pelted stones and vandalised hostel properties.” A student from Afghanistan told local NDTV network: “They attacked us inside the rooms too. They broke laptops, phones and damaged bikes,” adding that the AC and sound system were destroyed as well. Videos posted on X showed ransacked student dorms and a mob destroying the students’ motorbikes with long tools. “We cannot survive like this,” one African student said in his video filmed from the hostel. In the background, loud shouting and sounds of items being demolished, broken and smashed by the mob are heard. “We came to India to study and now we’re being attacked just because it’s time for Ramadan and Muslims were praying. Now they’re breaking down the bikes, everything is being demolished down[stairs],” he said. The Indian Express news website reported two of the students were severely injured and are recovering at a hospital after students from Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and several African countries were attacked. “Yesterday, at around 10:30pm a group of students were praying. Around 20-25 people came and asked them why they were praying here and should instead go the mosque,” Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik told reporters at a briefing on Sunday. “An argument broke out between them, stones were pelted and their rooms were vandalised by the people who came from outside.”

The pact allowed US military personnel and civilian defence staff to operate from Niger, which plays a central role in the US military’s operations in Africa’s Sahel region and is home to a major airbase. Niger has suspended its military agreement with the United States “with immediate effect”, according to the ruling military spokesman Colonel Amadou Abdramane, in a blow to US security interests in the region. The pact allowed US military personnel and civilian defence staff to operate from Niger, which plays a central role in the US military’s operations in Africa’s Sahel region and is home to a major airbase. The decision, announced on Saturday, came after senior US officials – led by Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Molly Phee and US Africa Command head General Michael Langley – visited the West African country earlier this week to discuss democratic transition. Speaking on local television, Abdramane said the US delegation did not follow diplomatic protocol, and that Niger was not informed about the composition of the delegation, the date of its arrival or the agenda, Al Jazeera reports with new agencies. “Niger regrets the intention of the American delegation to deny the sovereign Nigerien people the right to choose their partners and types of partnerships capable of truly helping them fight against terrorism,” Abdramane said. The US military had some 650 personnel working in Niger in December, according to a White House report to Congress. The US military operates a major airbase in the Niger city of Agadez, some 920km (572 miles) from the capital of Niamey, using it for manned and unmanned surveillance flights and other operations. A drone base known as Air Base 201 near Agadez was built at a cost of more than $100m. Since 2018 the base has been used to target ISIL (ISIS) fighters and Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimeen (JNIM), an al-Qaeda affiliate, in the Sahel region. Reporting from Washington, DC, Al Jazeera correspondent Shihab Rattansi said the move is “a huge blow to the US”. “Niger is the centre of US operations in west and north Africa, notably at its Air Base 201, the most expensive construction project ever undertaken by the US government. It’s there for war on terror operations but it’s really there also for great power projection against countries like Russia and China.”

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy Notcoin. To be honest, I was pretty dismissive at first. You tap an image of a coin on your mobile device, earn an in-game currency for each tap, and are bound by an energy bar that depletes as you tap (and refills when idle). And in the end, you'll be entitled to an airdrop of an upcoming token based on your tapping abilities. It sounded pretty dull. So imagine my surprise that three weeks after trying the game for the first time, I’m still opening it up every morning and tap, tap, tapping away to earn my imaginary internet money. Notcoin is built within messaging app Telegram and corresponds with a token being launched on The Open Network (TON), the blockchain originally created by the app. Following some initial uncertainty around the airdrop, Notcoin creator Open Builders confirmed that the token will indeed go on-chain via TON, with an ETA of late March or early April. The team also recently launched an NFT-based voucher system that lets players convert their in-game currency into vouchers and trade them before the token debuts. Players who want to opt-out of the pre-money voucher system can just wait until their in-game currency becomes exchangeable for tokens. There’s not much to the tapping—but what really grabbed me about this deceivingly simple game is the social aspect of it. Soon after setting up my Notcoin Telegram bot, I learned that a couple of my friends were also playing and immediately felt the urge to surpass them on the leaderboard. global leaderboard splits everyone into a league based on how much Notcoin they’ve farmed (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond). Additionally, each player has a ranking within each league. Finding out that I had friends with a higher ranking than me, for some reason, was enough to motivate me to take my tapping very seriously. The cadence of the boosts also brought me back regularly. In Notcoin, you have two free daily boosts you can use to super-charge your Notcoin earnings—one briefly juices your earnings when you tap a little rocket ship that blasts into view, and the other refills your energy when tapped out. You can use three of each boost for free per day. The thought that I had free boosts available, and that these boosts may contribute to a future airdrop I’ll receive, were enough of an incentive to keep me coming back over and over again. Beyond the free boosts, there are also “paid” boosts—but you can only shell out earned Notcoin, and there’s no way to buy that within the game. It makes Notcoin feel more fair without any pay-to-win elements killing the vibes. Instead, you have to choose between stacking your in-game coins to reap a larger airdrop when the time comes, or investing your in-game currency into paid boosts to increase your overall earning potential. I quickly used all of my in-game currency to purchase the upgrades available. (You’re talking to someone with a level 10 energy limit. Don’t be jealous.) Is Notcoin the best game I’ve ever played? No, far from it—but this game has me in its clutches. There’s something about the simplicity, the incentives, and the social aspect of this game that keep me coming back despite its very one-dimensional gameplay. If you want a fully immersive gameplay experience, Notcoin probably isn’t for you. But if you want to have some fun playing a silly mobile game and potentially earn an airdrop, then I welcome a new rival to the league. Register now 👇 https:///notcoin_bot?start=r_4_8600110

The Kano State Hisbah Board has apprehended 11 Muslims for violating the Ramadan fast by eating during the day. The arrests were made during the annual Ramadan enforcement operations, which included searches of eateries and markets. The board’s Public Relations Officer, Lawal Ibrahim, who confirmed the arrests in an interview with the BBC Hausa Service monitored on Wednesday, said the arrests were made on Tuesday across the city, particularly near markets. “The individuals arrested include 10 men and one woman, who was caught eating from her groundnut-selling stall,” he said. He explained that non-Muslims are exempted from such enforcement activities, but if found selling food during fasting hours to Muslims, they could be considered in violation. “We apprehended 11 persons on Tuesday, including a lady selling groundnuts who was seen eating from her wares, after some persons alerted us. The other 10 persons were men and were arrested across the city, especially close to markets where a lot of activities happen. “We don’t arrest non-Muslims because this doesn’t concern them, and the only time they could be guilty of a crime is when we find out they cook food to sell to Muslims who are supposed to be fasting,” he said.

While dismissing the charges against Trump and other defendants, the court said the prosecutors' allegations that they tried to get officials to violate their oaths were not detailed enough, according to the court filing. AFulton County Judge Scott McAfee on Wednesday dismissed six criminal counts brought against former U.S. President Donald Trump in relation to the Georgia election subversion trial. While dismissing the charges against Trump and other defendants, the court said the prosecutors' allegations that they tried to get officials to violate their oaths were not detailed enough, according to the court filing. According to Reuters, the judge left 35 other criminal counts intact, including 10 against Trump, who is the Republican candidate challenging Democratic President Joe Biden in the November 5 U.S. election. The central racketeering charge against Trump and his remaining 14 co-defendants remains in place. Trump and his co-defendants have pleaded not guilty to charges that they formed a criminal conspiracy to seek to overturn Trump's loss to Biden in Georgia in the 2020 election. McAfee said prosecutors could seek a new, more detailed indictment on the dismissed counts. The Georgia case is one of four criminal prosecutions Trump is facing as he tries to unseat Biden. He also faces federal charges for his efforts to undo his election defeat and is due to stand trial in New York beginning later this month on charges related to hush money paid to a porn star. Trump has denied wrongdoing in all four cases and has said they are all attempts to stop him from regaining the presidency. Steve Sadow, Trump's lead lawyer in the Georgia case, said prosecutors "failed to make specific allegations of any alleged wrongdoing" in the counts that were dismissed. "The entire prosecution of President Trump is political, constitutes election interference, and should be dismissed," Sadow said in a statement. A spokesperson for the office of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who brought the case, said prosecutors are reviewing the ruling and declined further comment. Lawyers for Trump and five allies, including former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Trump personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, challenged allegations that they attempted to get Georgia lawmakers to violate their oaths of office by convincing them to appoint fraudulent slates of pro-Trump electors. Two of the six charges McAfee dismissed relate to a January 2021 phone call when Trump pressed Georgia's top election official, Brad Raffensperger, to "find" votes to reverse his defeat in the state. The indictment did not specify in sufficient detail how Trump and his co-defendants could have urged officials to violate their oaths of office or their respective duties under the U.S. or Georgia state constitutions, McAfee found. "They do not give the defendants enough information to prepare their defenses intelligently, as the defendants could have violated the Constitutions and thus the statute in dozens, if not hundreds, of distinct ways," the judge wrote in his ruling. What do you have to say about this?

A video circulating online that was apparently filmed by an eyewitness shows the aircraft passing by in the sky with flames engulfing one of its four turbofan engines. According to media reports, the plane’s pilot was trying to return to the Ivanovo Severny air base but was unable to do so.
