EDUCATION OR NOTHING: A CALL TO NATIONAL CONSCIENCE Nigeria is a nation blessed with enormous human and natural resources. Yet the true strength of any nation does not lie beneath its soil, but within the minds of its people. Education remains the most powerful instrument for national transformation, social stability, and economic prosperity. Unfortunately, across many communities today, troubling realities continue to emerge. Young girls who should be building their futures in classrooms are instead pushed into early marriages or find themselves trapped in circumstances that cut short their educational journeys. Young boys who should be nurturing their intellectual capacities are prematurely pushed into trading or left wandering the streets, where many become vulnerable to crime, drug abuse, and other destructive influences. These developments are not merely social concerns; they represent a deeper structural failure in our collective commitment to education. When a society begins to neglect education, the consequences are far-reaching. The decline of educational values inevitably leads to the rise of ignorance, unemployment, insecurity, and social instability. A nation that fails to educate its young people ultimately mortgages its future. While government bears significant responsibility in providing quality educational systems and infrastructure, the task of rebuilding our educational culture cannot be left to government alone. Communities, private citizens, institutions, and responsible leaders must rise to the occasion. The “Education or Nothing” Initiative therefore represents a call to national conscience. It is a movement designed to remind Nigerians that education must once again become the cornerstone of our development agenda. It calls on parents to place greater value on learning, on communities to support educational advancement, and on leaders at every level to recognize that no society can rise above the quality of its education. If we truly desire a nation that is prosperous, secure, and globally competitive, then we must return to the fundamentals. We must invest in knowledge, nurture young minds, and create environments where education thrives. The choice before us is clear and urgent. Nigeria must reaffirm its commitment to the most powerful tool for nation-building. Education or Nothing.

The Village People Movement (VPM), a people-driven platform committed to civic awareness, youth inclusion, and national development, has intensified its call for greater participation of rural communities in Nigeria’s democratic process. According to the Convener of the Movement, Dr. Frank Igbojindu, GMD Akpoazaa Group, the strength of Nigeria’s democracy lies in the active involvement of village youth — boys and girls — as well as men and women across rural communities. "It is the village youth — boys and girls, men and women — that vote. Their voices matter. Their participation determines the future of our nation,” he stated. Dr. Igbojindu emphasized that the movement is built on the belief that meaningful change begins at the grassroots level. He noted that rural communities remain a powerful force in shaping national leadership and public policy when properly mobilized and informed. The Village People Movement promotes civic responsibility, accountability, and responsible leadership, while encouraging Nigerians from all backgrounds to participate constructively in nation-building. "We can create the change we desire because A New Nigeria is POssible,” he added. VBM continues to advocate for inclusive engagement, unity, and responsible citizenship as pathways to national transformation. It’s POssible. The Okija Peace and Resolution Committee has withdrawn from mediating the debt dispute involving Costyken Tochukwu Igboekweze and his creditors following his failure to honour a repayment commitment and the inability of the creditors to reach a consensus on the next line of action. The nine-man committee had intervened after complaints arose from business transactions conducted through the Okija Solution Movement platform, where Igboekweze had collected funds from several individuals but failed to deliver on agreed terms. During deliberations with the committee, Igboekweze acknowledged the debts and voluntarily undertook to pay over 70 per cent of the outstanding sum on or before Saturday, February 7, 2026. The committee, acting in line with due process, allowed the deadline to fully elapse before taking further steps. However, as at 11:59pm on the agreed date, no payment was made. Subsequent engagements revealed that the debtor was still unable to raise the promised funds. Following this development, the committee presented the creditors with structured options, including a proposal to jointly engage relevant security agencies for lawful recovery of the funds. The creditors were given until 4:00pm on Sunday, February 8, 2026, to indicate their preferred option. Only four out of ten creditors accepted the option involving collaboration with security agencies, while the remaining creditors did not formally indicate acceptance of any option. As majority consent was not secured, the committee resolved to discontinue further mediation. Speaking to journalists after the committee stepped aside, Frank Igbojindu, GMD, Akpoazaa Group and former Convener of the Peace and Resolution Committee, said the intervention was guided solely by the interest of peace. "Our involvement was never about taking sides or shielding anyone. It was strictly about preventing escalation, maintaining peace in Okija, and ensuring that due process was followed,” he said. Igbojindu explained that the committee acted in good faith by respecting the repayment timeline proposed by the debtor. “The promise to pay over 70 per cent was voluntarily made by Costyken himself. The committee waited until the agreed deadline elapsed before concluding that the commitment was not fulfilled,” he stated. He added that the committee’s withdrawal was a principled decision. "Once it became clear that the debtor failed to meet his obligation and the creditors could not reach a majority agreement on the options provided, it was only proper for the committee to step aside. Mediation cannot continue without collective consent,” he noted. According to him, while engagement with lawful authorities remains the most responsible route for debt recovery, further steps now rest with the creditors. "As a committee, we have done our part transparently and without personal interest. Our actions were guided by peace, fairness, and community harmony,” he said. The committee has since formally dissolved, allowing the creditors to pursue recovery through lawful means of their choosing.

Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo, Chief Executive Officer of Seahorse Oil, has emerged as the Akpoazaa Group Man of the Month for January 2026, after securing over 50 per cent of the total votes cast, ahead of the other two nominees in a keenly contested public voting process conducted on Facebook. The recognition, which marks the first Man of the Month award for 2026 and the first following the rebranding of Akpoazaa Group, was determined by open public participation and aimed at identifying a true Champion of Humanity. Speaking on the outcome, the Group Managing Director of Akpoazaa Group, Dr. Frank Igbojindu, said the result reflected the collective judgment of the public. “This recognition goes beyond business success. Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo emerged winner because he earned over half of the total votes cast against two other distinguished nominees, showing clear public confidence in his values, character, and commitment to humanity,” Igbojindu stated. He explained that the initiative was deliberately people-driven. “The Man of the Month platform allows the public to speak. In this case, the people spoke clearly. Dr. Onunkwo’s consistent support for education, youth empowerment, and assistance to widows and vulnerable families resonated strongly with voters,” he added. Dr. Igbojindu further noted the symbolic importance of the award. “As Akpoazaa Group enters a new era after our rebranding, it is significant that the first Man of the Month for 2026 is someone whose life exemplifies service, compassion, and impact. Dr. Ebuka Onunkwo truly represents a champion of humanity,” he said. Dr. Onunkwo is widely recognised for his philanthropic engagements, particularly in education support, community welfare initiatives, youth development, and humanitarian assistance, often carried out quietly without public attention. The Akpoazaa Group Man of the Month initiative is designed to celebrate individuals whose leadership and success translate into meaningful and measurable social impact. Why the NestOil Lawyers’ Ruling Deserves Public Scrutiny — Frank Igbojindu Writes By Frank Igbojindu Recent developments surrounding the reported ruling affecting the legal representation of NestOil Limited have stirred considerable public discussion. While the matter remains before the courts and all parties are entitled to the presumption of fairness, the implications of the ruling—as reported—raise issues that deserve calm, informed, and responsible public scrutiny. At its core, the controversy arose from an alleged debt recovery action involving NestOil and related entities, instituted by FBNQuest Merchant Bank Limited and First Trustees Limited. What has drawn wider attention is not merely the commercial dispute itself—such disputes are not uncommon—but the reported decision that effectively restricts a defendant’s ability to retain counsel of its choice. In any constitutional democracy, the right to fair hearing is foundational. Embedded within that right is the freedom of a litigant to choose legal representation. This principle is not a privilege reserved for a few; it is a safeguard for all, ensuring equality of arms and confidence in judicial outcomes. Where a ruling appears to limit or alter that freedom, it naturally invites broader reflection beyond the immediate parties. Public scrutiny, in this context, should not be mistaken for hostility toward the judiciary. On the contrary, open and respectful examination of judicial processes strengthens institutions by reinforcing transparency and public trust. Courts do not operate in isolation; their decisions shape legal expectations, commercial behaviour, and investor confidence across the economy. The NestOil ruling, as reported, raises an important question: can a party to a dispute—directly or indirectly—determine the legal representation of the opposing side? If such a precedent were to gain traction, it could unsettle long-established notions of independence of counsel and equality before the law. These are not abstract concerns. Nigeria’s commercial environment relies heavily on predictability and fairness in dispute resolution. Equally concerning is the tone of some public commentary surrounding the case. A surge of sensational online reports, speculative allegations, and contradictory figures risks distorting public understanding of a matter that remains sub judice. Responsible journalism and informed public discourse should aim to clarify, not inflame. Facts should guide opinion, not conjecture. It is also important to state what this discussion is not. It is not a declaration on the merits of any alleged indebtedness, nor an endorsement of any party’s position. The courts remain the proper forum for determining liability and responsibility. Rather, this is a reflection on due process and the long-term consequences of legal precedents that may emerge from high-profile cases. Nigeria’s justice system has, over the years, demonstrated resilience and adaptability. That strength is best preserved when difficult questions are addressed openly and thoughtfully. Public scrutiny—measured, respectful, and informed—is part of that process. It ensures that justice is not only done, but seen to be done. As this case continues its journey through the judicial system, one hopes that clarity will prevail and that outcomes will reinforce, rather than weaken, public confidence in the courts. In a society governed by the rule of law, vigilance in defence of fair hearing is not optional; it is essential. Frank Igbojindu

Why Ken Emeakayi Deserves Appreciation, Not Rumour - By Frank Igbojindu Public service, particularly in the area of security, is one of the most demanding responsibilities in governance. Those entrusted with protecting lives and property often work quietly, measured not by applause but by outcomes. Yet, paradoxically, when results begin to show, such individuals may become targets of speculation and unfounded accusations. This appears to be the case with *Prince Ken Emeakayi (Dikeanagbaraizu),* the Security Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State. Prince Ken Emeakayi, a proud son of Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area, currently coordinates the activities of all security outfits in Anambra State, including Agụnaechemba and Udogachi. His appointment was not the product of sentiment or origin, but a recognition of competence, courage, and a proven record of leadership under pressure. As Acting President General of Okija during the height of insecurity caused by unknown gunmen, Prince Emeakayi demonstrated uncommon resolve. At a time when fear and uncertainty threatened community stability, he worked closely with security agencies and community stakeholders to contain criminal activity and restore calm. That period tested leadership at its core, and his performance stood out. It was this experience and effectiveness that informed his elevation to a statewide security role. In that capacity, his duty is clear: to advise, coordinate, and support security operations across Anambra State based strictly on intelligence, threat assessment, and public safety considerations. Recent claims suggesting that security personnel were disproportionately deployed to Okija during the festive season because of Prince Emeakayi’s origin or that the community allegedly paid for such deployment are not supported by facts. Security decisions in a modern, responsible government are not transactional, nor are they driven by personal affiliations. They are guided by data, intelligence reports, and strategic necessity. The true test of any security architecture lies in outcomes. By this measure, Anambra State witnessed one of its *most peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations* in recent years. Social, religious, and commercial activities were conducted freely across communities, with minimal incidents recorded. Residents moved with confidence, and public order was largely maintained. These outcomes reflect planning, coordination, and firm oversight under the administration of Charles Soludo and his security team. It is also important to acknowledge that rumour often thrives where peace disrupts vested interests. Those *who benefit from instability are rarely comfortable when order is restored.* Consequently, attempts to discredit effective public officers should be examined critically and not amplified without evidence. Prince Ken Emeakayi’s leadership approach combines firmness with empathy, shaped by personal and community experiences that reinforce the human cost of insecurity. His focus has remained on prevention, intelligence-led operations, and collaboration with local structures rather than reactive force. This approach aligns with global best practices in internal security management. As a concerned citizen and advocate for good governance, I, *Dr. Frank Igbojindu, CEO Akpoazaa Group,* believe that public officials must be assessed by performance, not propaganda. Where insecurity has been reduced, where communities have regained confidence, and where peace has replaced fear, appreciation is not misplaced, it is deserved. Anambra State must continue to encourage competence and resist the distraction of unverified narratives. In security matters especially, consistency, trust, and institutional support are essential. The facts are clear. The results are visible. Rumour should not be allowed to overshadow responsibility.

Education or Nothing: Why Dr. Frank Igbojindu Says Nigeria Must Choose Education First In a society battling poverty, unemployment, insecurity, and moral decline, there is one constant truth that must never be debated or compromised: education remains the most powerful weapon for individual and national transformation. This conviction forms the foundation of my philosophy — “Education or Nothing.” Education is not an option. It is not a luxury reserved for the privileged. It is the lifeline of any society that desires progress, stability, and dignity. Where education is neglected, ignorance thrives; where ignorance thrives, poverty and crime take root. This is why I firmly believe that any meaningful development agenda that sidelines education is already destined to fail. Over the years, my commitment to education has gone beyond words and slogans. It has been demonstrated through consistent, measurable, and people-centered actions. From supporting primary and secondary school pupils, to empowering teachers, rewarding academic excellence, and creating platforms that celebrate knowledge, my interventions have always been guided by one principle: when you educate a child, you secure the future of a community. Through structured initiatives, educational competitions, scholarships, learning materials support, and direct financial interventions, I have remained intentional about encouraging young people to take education seriously, while also improving teachers’ welfare and motivation. Education cannot thrive where teachers are ignored or discouraged. Any society that undermines its teachers undermines its own future. The Best Brain Contest (BBC) and similar academic platforms were born out of this conviction. They are not just competitions; they are instruments of inspiration. They restore pride in academic excellence, reward diligence, and remind our children that knowledge still pays. By supporting students, teachers, and schools across disciplines such as Mathematics and Indigenous Language studies, we reaffirm the value of both global competitiveness and cultural identity. My advocacy is also rooted in realism. Parents must learn to embrace affordable and accessible education over misplaced pride. Many great men and women today are products of community schools and modest educational backgrounds. What matters is not the name of the school, but the seriousness of purpose, quality of instruction, and moral upbringing. Beyond formal education, skill acquisition and capacity development remain critical. Education must empower the mind and equip the hands. A society that produces only certificate holders without practical skills will continue to struggle. This is why educational support must be holistic — combining academics, vocational training, mentorship, and character development. “Education or Nothing” is therefore not a slogan of extremism; it is a declaration of priority. It means that before politics, before personal comfort, before prestige projects, we must invest in human capital. Roads may decay, buildings may collapse, but an educated mind remains a lifelong asset. As a people and as a nation, we must deliberately choose education — consistently, courageously, and collectively. Governments, private individuals, community leaders, and philanthropists must see education not as charity, but as responsibility. The future we desire can only be built by minds we deliberately prepare today. I remain committed to this cause, not because it is popular, but because it is necessary. My stand is clear and unwavering: Education or Nothing.

Frank Igbojindu Calls for Calm, Accountability as Okija Business Dispute Deepens Dr. Frank Igbojindu, PhD, has called for calm, accountability, and a structured conflict resolution process following the ongoing dispute involving Mr. Costken Tochukwu Igboekweze and some members of the Okija community over undelivered goods and pending refunds. According to Dr. Igbojindu, the transactions in question originated from business advertisements placed by Mr. Igboekweze on the Okija Solution Movement WhatsApp platform, where he serves as the Chief Administrator. He noted that community members entered into the transactions in good faith, relying on the credibility and integrity of the platform. Dr. Igbojindu expressed concern over reports that complainants were being removed from the platform for seeking redress, describing such actions as inappropriate and unjust, given that the business engagements were initiated through the platform itself. He disclosed that he has advised Mr. Igboekweze to refrain from further briefings on the platform and instead focus on developing practical strategies to refund and fully settle all affected clients. The Akuyienwataegwu na Okija further urged the administrators of the Okija Solution Movement to urgently constitute a Conflict Resolution Committee that will create a neutral forum for engagement between the debtor and all affected creditors, with a view to achieving an amicable and transparent resolution. Dr. Igbojindu appealed to all parties and the general public to remain calm and law-abiding, expressing confidence that with sincerity and cooperation, the matter can be resolved within two weeks of the committee’s formation. He emphasized that peace, accountability, and communal harmony must always take precedence in resolving disputes within Okija. FRANK IGBOJINDU APPLAUDS SOLUDO ON INTRODUCTION OF SKILLS-DRIVEN EDUCATION IN ANAMBRA SCHOOLS By Dr. Frank Igbojindu, PhD The recent introduction of practical and future-oriented skills such as GSM repairs, plumbing, robotics, solar installation, garment making, and digital literacy by the Anambra State Government is a commendable and forward-thinking initiative that deserves national attention. This policy direction reflects a clear understanding that modern education must extend beyond the acquisition of certificates to the development of competence, creativity, and employable skills. In an era defined by technology and innovation, equipping young people with practical abilities is no longer optional but essential for economic growth and social stability. Speaking to Newsmen, Dr Frank Igbojindu, PhD, GMD Akpoazaa Group states that, As I have consistently maintained: “Investment in education and human capacity remains an indirect way of storing wealth for future use.” Human capital remains the bedrock of sustainable development. By investing in skills that are relevant to today’s economy—particularly in areas such as renewable energy, digital technology, and technical services—Anambra State is deliberately preparing its youths to compete, contribute, and thrive. This development aligns closely with my own grassroots initiative. On January 1, 2026, during a press conference in Okija, I launched a skill acquisition programme for young people, focusing on welding, upholstery making, hairdressing, and tailoring. With the state government now embracing additional skills like robotics, solar installation, GSM repairs, and digital literacy, I am further encouraged to integrate some of these competencies into our local programme. This approach reflects what I describe as the catch-them-young philosophy: “If you catch them young, you shape the future with intention rather than repair it with regret.” Early exposure to relevant skills not only enhances employability but also reduces youth unemployment, curbs social vices, and strengthens community resilience. I therefore applaud Chukwuma Soludo and his team for demonstrating vision, courage, and people-centred leadership. Policies of this nature show a genuine commitment to aligning education with economic realities. For clarity, I am not a politician and have no interest in partisan politics. My position is strictly developmental and civic. I will continue to support good governance when I see it and criticise poor leadership where necessary, in the overall interest of accountability and national progress. Nigeria’s future depends on deliberate investments in education, skills acquisition, and human capital development. Anambra State has taken a notable step in this direction, and it deserves both commendation and replication. — Dr. Frank Igbojindu, PhD

The National President of De Imperial Philanthropic Family, Darlington Nwabunike, has urged Nigerians to always appreciate God for the gift of life, describing it as the greatest blessing, even in moments of profound loss. Nwabunike made this remark while reacting to the fire outbreak that gutted two of his commercial plazas in Lagos, destroying properties valued at billions of naira and claiming the life of a tenant. In a conversation with Dr. Frank Igbojindu, he expressed deep sorrow over the incident, noting that the death recorded in the inferno is a painful reminder that no material possession can equate to the value of human life. “The loss of a single life is more painful than the loss of all material things. Life is sacred and must always come first,” he stated. He appreciated the prayers, phone calls, and messages of sympathy from friends, associates, and well-wishers across the country, stressing that anyone who has life should not lose hope. Nwabunike offered prayers for the departed soul and conveyed his condolences to the family of the deceased tenant, while expressing confidence that God will grant comfort, restoration, and peace.

In a world where countless people make remarkable impact in silence, the Akpoazaa Group Man of the Week Recognition Initiative was created to change the narrative, to spotlight individuals whose positive contributions often go unnoticed. According to the Founder and CEO Akpoazaa Group, Dr. Frank Igbojindu, this initiative is driven by three core principles: 1. Celebrating Everyday Heroes: Not all great achievements make the headlines. Many ordinary men are doing extraordinary things, lifting their families, leading in their communities, supporting development, and inspiring the next generation. We believe these men deserve to be celebrated. 2. Encouraging a Culture of Impact: Recognition fuels motivation. When one good deed is acknowledged, others are inspired to do better. This program is designed to encourage consistent acts of excellence, leadership, charity, courage, entrepreneurship, and professionalism. 3. Rewriting the Story of Our Society: Too often, the spotlight falls on negative behavior. We are shifting that focus, showcasing men who embody values worth emulating: integrity, hard work, resilience, and service to humanity. “Our aim is simple,” Dr. Igbojindu says. “To appreciate men who are striving, who are supporting others, who are building society brick by brick. We want them to know that their efforts matter, that we see them, we recognize them, and we celebrate them.” Through this initiative, Akpoazaa Group reinforces its commitment to promoting and supporting education, community development, empowerment, and positive recognition. Every week, another story is told… another hero is celebrated… another spark of inspiration is ignited. Akpoazaa Group Man of the Week; Recognizing Excellence. Celebrating Impact. Inspiring Society.
