A popular school in Onitsha Anambra state, Blessed Wisdom Model School was shut down by the Education Commissioner in Anambra state Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh over allegations that a pupil in the school was punished by a teacher.

An eye witness said that the said child fell down on the interlocked floor of the school compound and was attended to by the management of the school but parents of the child took the matter to another level by involving the Commissioner of Education who did not make further enquiries rather enforced closure of the school.

This is unbecoming of the Anambra state Commissioners of Education who instead of getting in touch with the school to ascertain the veracity of the allegations against them but instead went ahead to exercise undue restraint on the school.

Eyes are watching as the Execu Governor of Anambra state is called to set up a committee to investigate into the matter and provide answers to the following questions;

Why would the commissioner for education shut down a school with a population of 1200 pupils and above 100 teachers with immediate effect without proper investigation?

The Government of Anambra state calls for investment from Diasporas, but this great investment in her own state is being mismanaged. What is therefore the fate of those coming down to invest in Anambra state?

Things need to be done rightly.

I am a native of Ubahuekwem Ihiala in Ihiala LGA.
A man with a sanctified political capacity and always in motion for the interest of his people.

Knowing fully,what legislation is all about,that it is a section of governance that requires the approval of the constituents for quality and competent representation, I have some facts of my past achievements to better the lives of my constituents and that of IHIALA at large that are open for verification. Some of which are :

☑️ I am currently,the Assistant National Publicity Secretary Ohaneze Ndigbo Youths Worldwide.

☑️ A former Supervisory Councilor for Education and Social Development,Ihiala Local Government Area Council (2013--2016)

☑️ As a Supervisory Councilor for Education and Social Development,I single handedly attracted the library equipments which was used to furnish the existing Library at Ihiala Local Government Area Council.

☑️ Also,seeing the urgent need to provide access to sustainable, clean,safe and reliable water.
a. I attracted 20 water boreholes,Solar Powered pumps in Ihiala Town, precisely in 20 government schools in Ihiala town.

b. This project was done to lift the burden for water crisis which was affecting the quality of education in the government schools within my ward. In addition,that finding a clean and safe water is a daily concern for young girls and boys(students and pupils) in this schools which prompt them to always gallivant in search of clean water for drinking. Knowfuly that provision of access water will unlock potentials by returning to study.

☑️ The portable water scheme as stated was successfully sponsored by Chief Engr. Edwin Enwegbara as one of his ways of giving back to the society.

☑️ During my tenure as the Party Chairman,I led APGA to victory in Ihiala 1&2 constituency for Anambra State House of Assembly,which the current Deputy Speaker,Anambra State House of Assembly,Rt Hon. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike emerged winner to represent Ihiala 2 Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly.

▫️I shall be a voice to creating awareness where the youths and members of the constituents will be empowered and recognized in policy making,lead a fair, and inclusiveness in leadership for a healthy political growth and involvement.
I shall promptly respond to complaints or challenges faced by the members of my constituents to ensure a politics free from any form of discrimination and violence; where the rights,choices and opinions of the constituents
would be valued and respected for political awareness.

▫️To delibrately partner with the youths to encourage and to improve the leadership quality of the youths to a full potential and maximum use which will help to
transform our towns, communities and for a sustainable change.

𝗕. 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧:

▫️On infrastructure,I shall ensure the implementation of bills that will secure the construction of the majority of roads with good drainage system in constituency 1.

▫️Furthermore,I shall make sure that the already constructed and dilapidated roads that needs maintainance, receives immediate attention.

▫️To achieve the following as mentioned,I shall partner with the stakeholders of each of the 3 towns that made up Ihiala Constituency 1, precisely,Ihiala Town,Uli Town and Amorka Town respectively. Systematic and structured legislative meetings shall be held to have better modus operandi to effectively achieve the legislative objectives to move Ihiala Constituency 1 forward.

𝗖. 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡/𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚:

▫️As a bridge builder and as one who is aware that peace is an agent of progress and community development,I shall remain resilience and consistent in mediating on the issues and conflicts in my constituency:both the existing issues and the ones that may occur in future amongst the people in Ihiala LGA,until a lasting peace and reconciliation is brokered. To ensure coherence for absolute compactibility and synergy.

𝗗. 𝗦𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦:

Sequel to what the effect of illicit drugs, cultism and other social vices are causing the society, especially on the youths of our constituency,I shall make a full confrontation against the illicit use and sale of hard drugs,and bring cultism to an abrupt end .

𝗗. 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗚𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘:

Over the years,our Local government despite the fact of being the largest local government in Anambra state has experienced non involvement in government, we only hear of the government but have not experienced it. We have been neglected in several ways and the absence of the government was greatly felt and that is why we are were we are today.
▫️ I shall lobby continuously,and support and move motions that will keep the executives and legislators in check to ensure effective administration and good governance.
▫️With my experience also,I shall ensure that constituency 1 (Ihiala LGA) is duly consented,consulted and included in every policy and decision making process at the legislative floor (Anambra State House Assembly plenary meetings

𝗘. 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬:

On the issue of security,
▫️I shall continue to engage the executive by drawing the attention of the government on the issues regarding security of lives and properties. I shall make sure that our local vigilante group are well equipped and are well maintained also.
▫️Amongst all,I shall partner with State House of Assembly members of constituency 2 in tackling any challenge that will otherwise affect the peace of Ihiala LGA.
▫️I shall also sit and discuss security with the youths to find a better way to champion our Igbo course rather than killing ourselves . We shall together as Ihiala youths protect our territory against invaders.

𝗙. 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:

Knowing the importance of education and it's impact as a sure way to fast track meaningful development.
▫️I shall provide a scouting educational database mechanism programmes(such as information technology based seminars) to harness talents and prepare the young women and men for jobs and technologies that have not yet been created.
▫️I shall also make sure that all schools in my constituency that are in bad condition will be renovated. I shall also partner with tha state’s ministry of education to make sure that qualified teachers are employed in our indigenous schools .

☑️l shall ensure that all my programmes are centered on promoting the culture of equality, diversity and inclusion.

☑️Furthermore,I strongly believe that the provision of social amenities, empowerment,welfare and infrastructural development is sacrosanct. It is therefore imperative for the constituents to give their mandate to someone who understands their interest and who is committed to safeguarding the interest of his people.
