SmoothCrim: just because there was no internet or social media then does not mean there were no written accounts. Nigerians are just as barbarian as the South Africans. The reasons for the south Africans Xenophobia is the same as the reasons given for Ghana must go... Yeah, there are written accounts on how Nigerians maimed Ghanaians and burnt them alive. |

SmoothCrim: You hypocrites... Is Ghana must go not Xenophobia? Nigerians are bigger Xenophobes than South Africans. Ghana must go was more xenophobia than South Africa has practiced in the last 25 years. Africans are generally xenophobic and Nigerians are the leaders!! You're too dumb! How can "Ghana must go" be more xenophobic than what is happening in Bantustan? Ghanaians were expelled from Nigeria without getting maimed with club sticks. What stops the Bantustan government from doing the same? |

V0lv0: Yes Mam not a Sir . I know the terms very well. Honestly you should try not to give yourself HPB when it comes to some of these people. You just have to accept that violence and hate is a part of their nature. Nothing surprises me at all with them that's why I generally don' t get too close to them. I just can't wait to got my transfer(relocation)to be finalised. Anyway we just need to pray for the rest of our African Brothers and Sisters. Hopefully all this will come to pass. I would not recommended any foreigner staying in the rural areas. That's just asking for trouble. If things are so bad would it not be better to suffer back at home and get peace of mind then suffer in a country that hates your guts and where you will most likely murdered. Whoo! V0lvo, - you used to have answers to justify xenophobia - what really happened? I guess the xenophobic muggers went ham on you. |

ehie: @ chidima's article.its nothing new.its still the same victim mentality packaged differently. Let's go back into the history Igbo love some much 1.Nzeogwu murdered the prime minister and president. The Igbo leaders were spared. 2.agunyi irons an Igbo was installed nzegwu was given paddy paddy justice. 3.igbos taunted hausas in kano wearing t shirts and even made songs at the coup. All these led to anti Igbo feelings and then the declaration by ojukwu. The murder of balewa was the catalyst for what could have been avoided.in all my years j have never had Igbo take responsibility for the first coup and own up that if neo wu hadn't killed the leaders all these wouldn't have happened. I belive prior to the barbaric act Igbo lived peacefully in northern Nigeria for decades and since that incident it hasn't been the same. No one cannot give the Igbo peace if they continually lie to themselves. Like they say the truth shall set you free.you guys choose to Iive in your warped reality of life.its your choice really.we cannot help you until you help u r self. . According to many Nigerians, Nzeogwu is a "deltan" he's not Igbo, he could be Ika. |

Boss13: Laughs. You mean the Awori slaves to the Oba of Benin, okay I agree. But do you know that the original aworis not the ondos who are claiming aworis were immigrants, a mixture of some fishermen clans from Oyo and Benin.
Please if you want to know the true history of lagos, go to the royal fathers in Benin, not the talkative drunk Akiolu. You cannot distort history, you cannot distort truth. Lagos was conquered. It was even a pathway, the lagoon to Ashantis in Ghana. The plan was to conquer than Ashantis, but it did not materialize. The British expanded Lagos, created canals for the waters. Lagos was empty. The Portuguese who named lagos always go to pay homages to the Oba of Benin and carry out their trade.
Go and do your research and stop spilling "mummy and daddy said"
Go to Benin, there are documented proof with artifacts. One small pikin just wake up begin to yarn, na we get Lagos. Nonsense The Portuguese met an empty Lagos? |
