Webmasters / What Could Be The Reason A Website Link Can't Be Sent Via Messenger? by ICTNEWS: 12:30pm On Dec 07, 2023
So, there are two websites that has been registered and contents are on it, but recently i discovered that i can't sent the link to people on facebook and some social apps, i'll refuse to send. Same thing happens if i try to make a post on social media timelines and include the link as reference.

What could be the problem and what could be done, because i really want to start big projects with these websites.

They're built on Blogger platform with custom themes, and it wasn't like this until last month.
Business / After 10 Years Of Business, Okada Books Is Shutting Down Unfortunately by ICTNEWS: 9:47am On Nov 23, 2023
First Published on: https://www.radiozayin.com.ng/2023/11/okada-books-after-10-years-of-riding.html

This is not good news for the publishing industry, especially in Nigeria (Africa). As a leading indie publishing platform that has helped push a lot of unsigned writers into limelight will be shutting down on November 30th 2023.
The publishing company owned by writer Okechukwu Ofili, was founded in 2013 (10 years ago) and has housed a number of talented writers in different genres across the country, and other African countries.

According to the company's claims, they have about 300,000 active monthly readers and having over 27,000 books on it's digital shelves. However, the shutdown is inevitable as a result of multiple microeconomic problems they were facing, which the founder Okechukwu Ofili said has brought a lot of operational strains on the company, therefore, the need to shutdown.

Unfortunately, this would break the hearts of thousands of writers and creatives who have depended on the platform over the years to get their written works out to their audience. This would mean that writers would have to start packing their bags to migrate to services such as Amazon's kindle KPD and other platforms as well.
Celebrities / Snoop Dogg May Have Just Fooled Us All by ICTNEWS: 2:28pm On Nov 21, 2023

Do you all remember how Snoop Dogg set the internet on fire last week when he announced that he was going smoke free?

Well, we may all have been misled by that single post that made the rounds on the internet.

People were really commenting on whether the rap-star could ever give up smoking? It turns out that question may really be valid in so many ways.

Browsing through Snoop's Tiktok account, you'd stumble on a new video that has already garnered over 5million likes and 33.7k comments at the time of making this publication on Zayin Fm.

Snoop is seen making the same statement in a video, but when you look just underneath description, you'll discover that it's a sponsored video. Paid partnership

In the video, a smokeless stove is introduced, which doesn't produce any form of smoke, just pure refined flames burning from the stove. The stove company known as Solo Stove is what Snoop is promoting at the moment, and the script really got us all.

I guess Snoop pulled a smart marketing gimmick on us all.

Crime / Lagos State Government To Criminalize Street Begging by ICTNEWS: 2:28pm On Nov 10, 2023
Article copied from: Zayin Fm
Link: https://www.radiozayin.com.ng/2023/11/lagos-govt-moves-to-declare-street.html

Law makers of the Lagos "Green Chamber" have (on November 8 2023) began to push the motion to criminalize the act of street begging in the state.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa embraced the idea, stating that street begging in the state is a growing menace that needs to really be put into check.

Lagos being a commercial capital, you'd often see street beggars in almost every busy area often causing some sort of distraction.

If this bill is passed into law, which would mean that it'll automatically restrict these beggars from openly indulging in the act, it'll also criminalize the act of offering beggars alms, meaning you could be penalized for trying to give to beggars, which would seem like you're trying to act.

However, the question we're asking is, is the government also making provisions to prevent the outbreak or increase in criminal activities as a result of this law?

Phones / Mark Zuckerberg Just Announce The Real Update We Wanted From Whatsapp by ICTNEWS: 9:05am On Oct 19, 2023
This article is originally published on https://www.worldkustomers.org/2023/10/you-would-soon-be-able-to-use-two.html

This could be the biggest update for the year, as Mark just announced that soon, Meta would be rolling out a new feature for Whatsapp.

So, a few minutes ago, Mark, the founder of Meta the company behind the trinity social giants, namely Facebook, Instagram and the instant messaging platform Whatsapp, took to his official fb handle to announce that the instant messenger would be getting a huge update.

A new feature that'll allow users to have the capability of switching between two whatsapp accounts, all within the same app.

This new update/upgrade would come as a reliever, especially for people who have more that one account or plan on having more than one account on the messenger app.

Now, rather than having to use apps that clone your social apps in the bid to run multiple accounts and switching between interface and widgets on your phone, which could be very stressful! Users can just have one whatsapp on their phone and comfortably switch accounts whenever they want.

Although, this isn't a new feature on the facebook app and fb messenger app, however bringing this feature to whatsapp would be a big win and would minimize the storage space that multiple apps would usually consume on devices.

We really this is a step in the right direction, way better than the recent update they rolled out that many people have been complaining have ruined their whatsapp experience.

Webmasters / Would You Pay This Amount To Keep Using X? by ICTNEWS: 11:43am On Oct 18, 2023
This news and the complete article is on: https://www.worldkustomers.org/2023/10/x-formally-twitter-will-start-charging.html

X (formally Twitter) will start charging $1 for New Users

New, Unverified users On the X social platform will pay $1 Annual Subscription fee.

X has formally announced through its official support channel ( today October 18th) that it would start charging a mandatory $1 fee for all new, unverified accounts annually in the bid to crank down fake or bot accounts/profiles on the social platform.

It was stated that this program is already being tested in New Zealand and the Philippines. And that this test is will allow new accounts to post and interact with other users.

Here is how X phrased the statement:

"Starting today, we're testing a new program (Not A Bot) in New Zealand and the Philippines.

New, unverified accounts will be required to sign up for a $1 annual subscription to be able to post & interact with other posts. Within this test, existing users are not affected.

This new test was developed to bolster our already successful efforts to reduce spam, manipulation of our platform and bot activity while balancing platform accessibility with the small fee amount. It is not a profit driver.

And so far, subscription options have proven to be the main solution that works at scale."

Elon Musk, X's chairman, had already on Wednesday the 17th disclosed the reason for the annual subscription fee.

Musk is of the opinion that the charge will reduce spam and automated bot accounts that are being operated on the platform.

"Correct, read for free, but $1/year to write. It's the only way to fight bots without blocking real users.

This won't stop bots completely, but it will be 1000X harder to manipulate the platform."

Phones / Is Apple Losing It & Falling From Her Throne? by ICTNEWS: 11:13am On Sep 13, 2023
First published on World Kustomers
https://www.worldkustomers.org/2023/09/whats-happening-is-apple-inc-falling.html

Apple just announced it's latest Series, both in watch and in Mobile phones, which features some detailed upgrades as portrayed by the tech giant. However, we're here to see if this company is still as innovative as it was once described?

When you speak of Apple, it rings Luxury, style and sleek design.

This brand founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak has over the years been a leading brand and ranked as one of the 'Big 5s'.

Apple is into the manufacturing of four major luxury products, The iPhone, Apple Watches, Virtual Reality Headsets and MacBooks. Their products rank as some of the most expensive gadgets, i.e The Falcon Supernova iPhone 6, a custom iPhone and one of the most expensive phones ever.

The luxurious aura that surrounds it has been one of the most effective reasons the brand has enjoyed great patronage from its die hard fans on all their products.

While it is worthy to note that Apple alongside Microsoft, Google and the topmost computer devices brands originates from the same country – The US, Apple seems to have the most dominance in the global market.

However, in recent times, there seems to have been a gradual shift in this dominance and other brands are now gaining more market share.

In this publication, we'd look at some of Apple's features which has brought it this far and review if it has actually been down sliding.

Features: What Makes Apple Tick In People's Mind?

Apple devices stand out from other devices for many (this is the same thing Nothing is trying to achieve) reasons which can be seen in both the exterior and interior of their products, it is these features that they've leveraged to penetrate the market and gain so much user trust over years.

Below, let's some of these features or qualities which have aided the Tech Giant to gain dominance.

Design Build: Have you seen or touched an Apple product/device? How does it feel? They invest so much on elegance, style and class. Apple is known for having some of the best product designers out there and it this reflects clearly in their products. They've maintained this design build adding it to their branding.

Even the interior build is different and elegant, the software structure, everything reflects luxury.

User-Friendly Interface and Functionalities: Using their product gives some of the best feeling one can get when using a computer device. They've made a name for themselves when it comes to the issue of lagging.

Special and Exclusive Application Ecosystem:

When it comes to their application, special care is taken in making these applications. This is one of the major reason Apple developed Swift, a programming language made specially for developing Apps for Apple devices. Just like their major competitor when it comes to mobile devices, Google, the Apple feeling can be felt on every Apple application irrespective of the product as all their products follow the same pattern when it comes to App environment. The same experience for an app can be gotten on Apple watches, iPhones, iPads, MacBooks and softwares that link to their Virtual Reality Headsets. Apple is known to reject applications with even the slightest detected flaws, something other platforms might overlook.

Strict Privacy and Security:

Apple's Security and Privacy standards is one major "Unique Selling Point" (USP) for the brand, no one does it like them and a substantial amount of their users actually use Apple products because of their strict emphasis on privacy and security. Apps must strictly be downloaded from the App Store irrespective of the product, sharing of files is regulated and piracy shunned against. However, other platforms are against all sorts of illegal sharing of files, but the freedom given to users of these platforms give way for such activities to be carried out with minimal restrictions.

Constant Updates:

Apple constantly rolls out new updates for every of their products while forcing users to upgrade to those updates. For instance, an iPhone 8 which initially comes with iOS 11 can still support iOS 16. 5 and most applications will stop working unless the required update is performed. This constant Software Updates ensures that there's continuity of support for Apple devices.

Consistent Innovation:

Apple is known as a pace setter in technology. Their devices always get first hand updates to emerging technologies, for instance, Apple was one of the first to incorporate the latest 5G technology on their phones, as at the time of writing this article, there's still tech companies in the business of mobile devices that are yet to incorporate 5G. This is one of the standout features of Apple that makes people cling tightly to it.

All of these features are contributing factors of Apple's popularity and dominance in the tech space.

Performance:

With all of these, why then does it seem that Apple is declining in popularity and losing its dominance?

From our extensive research, we've been able to come up with some reasons that are currently affecting Apple's dominance.

One of such is fierce competition from competitors. Apple has a dominance in the industry, but they didn't completely cancel other competitors. Their competitors have levelled up their game and made considerable improvements in areas where Apple was lagging behind, one of such is in the area of battery life. Apple products are not known to have durable batteries and this is one area their competitors had leveraged, giving the rise in active internet usage among people warranting increase in device usage time.

It seems that Apple noticed this and made adjustments in their newest products, but it isn't sufficient enough as those who perform power intensive actions have been captured by those competitors' offers.

Another reason why many have left Apple is the restrictions that come with their strict policies. People are becoming more flexible and the last thing they'd be expecting is strong restrictions from Apple on what they can do and what they can't do.

From our research, we were also able to observe that people were complaining of Apple hitting their peak and lacking innovation. The unique updates and features no longer come with their products, one good example is the iPhone 14, many complained that there isn't a considerable difference between it and the iPhone 13, its predecessor. Just bug fixes, OS upgrade (which came with its own features) and the orientation of the front camera, every other thing was pretty the same making many iPhone 13 users feel it was a waste of money to upgrade from an iPhone 13 to an iPhone 14.

We were also able to see that there's been a decline in the rate at which people purchased the iPhone 14, though the MacBook, Apple Watch and VR headset weren't affected by this decline. However, we are unable to pinpoint what exactly led to this decline, some sources suggest that it could be as a result of an already resolved protest by Apple's factory workers in China. Others attribute it to Apple not being innovative, but overall no one can tell, not even Apple had released an explanation for it, and they may choose never to do so.

Conclusion:

Over the years, Apple has gained dominance which will take years or possibly decades to erase. While we await the next iPhone, we have seen great positive changes Apple has implemented, especially with iOS 17, which is currently in beta testing and other Apple products most especially their VR headsets.

Their ability to keep the luxury aura they are known for going deserves to be applauded, not many brands can sustain such for years. Though there've been serious debates over their restrictive ecosystem, in spite of these, Apple still stands tall with millions of customers solidly behind them.

Over-all Recommendation:

With all its luxury, style and features, we'd definitely recommend Apple to you if you can cope with their restrictions ecosystem.

As far as the technology industry is concerned, Apple still stands out, their uniqueness is unmatched, however, what the future holds is unknown and filled with uncertainties. We can only all hope for the best.
Technology Market / See What Elon Musk Is Adding To Twitter by ICTNEWS: 9:48am On Aug 31, 2023
first published on https://www.worldkustomers.org/2023/08/twitter-x-is-adding-video-audio-calling.html

Video & Audio calling features - This is a good development for the social app, especially with fierce competition currently heating up the social network space.

This is indeed overdue, platforms like facebook and some other social apps have already initiated this feature years back, it seems that twitter now "X" is coming a bit late to the game, however, we feel it's a step in the right direction.

If you have been on the Twitter platform for awhile now, you'd have noticed a few interesting changes since Musk acquired it - One of the major change that was implemented is the auto dark-mode.

Although there has not been an official date specified as regarding when this features will be launched, and in which countries it'll first go live. But Musk says it'll work on major operating systems such as iOS, Android OS, Mac OS and PC devices.

Fingers crossed, we look forward to testing the new features and compare how it matches up with that of other platforms that already have these features for years now.

At WorldKustomers.org, we're now committed to start taking steps to liberate people from this prison that is currently and silently wrecking people's lives globally and in developing countries.

Still according to Anti-Slavery Intl, Slavery is defined as "when an individual is exploited by others, for personal or commercial gain. Whether tricked, coerced, or forced, they lose their freedom. This includes but is not limited to human trafficking, forced labour and debt bondage." And we add, the refusal to pay wages when due because you want to keep the employee trapped even when you know they are no longer happy working in your outfit.

These statements go way beyond what we can just spill in one article, there are different people with quite varying experiences - We've decided to make this a blend of written, audio and video content series where people from all works of life can share their personal experiences, and we'll also invite guests to speak on this subject and how to tackle this issues.

Crime / KYC: What Could Go Wrong With Your Personal Information? by ICTNEWS: 9:47am On Aug 24, 2023
Is Your Personal Information Really Safe?
What are the five most used digital services on your device? What phone do you use? Ponder deeply on the answers you gave yourself. You'd get to see that most of the digital services and platforms we use are owned by big tech companies.

What do we mean by big tech companies? These are influential tech companies that are very prosperous and have a large number of users. They're usually referred to as the Big Five which are: Alphabet Inc (Google LLC), Apple Inc, Meta Inc, Microsoft and Amazon.

Away from these five companies, big tech companies include lots of other influential technology companies that have gained global relevance and reputation over time.

We can't deny the fact that these companies have so influenced our digital lives that a huge percentage of our digital activities are done using their services. By digital services, we mean those thingsstuff we do using gadgets, both offline and online.

As a result of this over dependance on Big Tech Companies, our data is with them. In this article, we'd be exploring why our data is with them and what we stand to possibly gain or lose by having our data with them and other digital services.

Data For Free Services.

There's a maxim that says, 'If a platform is free, you're the product'.

These big tech companies are into business, and the expected outcome of the business is making money, but if we observe carefully, we'd see that the majority of them are into offering free services, except for a few of their services.

For instance, using Google search is free and there's no sign of it being made into a premium membership service, same with Facebook itself. As a matter of fact, most of Google's services are free with flexible premium membership.

These giants have been in the tech space so long and they obviously don't lose all the time, so how do they make money off their free services? The answer should be obvious to you by now – The users are the products.

Data Collection: What type of Data are collected

No, technically they can't sell us, so what then do they sell? For every person who uses their services, they create an imaginary personality for that person, that personality can be known as ‘User Avatar’ it encompasses a whole lot of data about each user, from their DOB, name, password, addresses, pictures, down to user behaviour, everything you do on their platform is observed including all your search history. This is not limited to software alone, hardwares like phones are also tracked, your app behaviour and preferences, every download you make, the type of phone you use and the files that are stored on them. etc.

It is all of these that these platforms use in making money, how they do it will be discussed later in this article.

From this, you can see that every single action you take, every data you give out, all of them are stored and mapped into a digital version of you; your avatar. Your avatar is made for the sake of your data being ordered so as to ensure effective usage.

Why Collect Our Data?

Aside from giving you a free platform and service and still make money off it, why do they collect our data?

They do it for your sake. To ensure that the service is enjoyable as it is, your data needs to be collected. Remember that time you searched for a term on Google only for you to come to Facebook and a group about that term is suggested to you? The reason we keep using their platform is because they use our stored data to optimise their services for us. The automations, the ability to track lost phones, go back in time, find things that interest us and all those conveniences we enjoy is because there's a database with trillions of bits of data working for us. Without this collected data, we can't enjoy all we enjoy in this digital era.

Softwares are trained with this data to anticipate what we might do next and help us out with it through the use of suggestions.

Phase Of Data Utilisation.

Ads: The birth of personalised advertising.

Before advertisements moved to the digital space, during the era of traditional advertising, people saw ads as boring and uninviting. It still happens today in TVs, billboards and Radio stations, but with the utilisation of user data, ads are now personalised. You will agree that you get ads that tally with your interests. This is because algorithms have been trained to suggest to you stuff you may find interesting judging from your stored data.

This is where Big Tech Companies come in, they're the largest collectors of data, they are the biggest collectors of data which they either sell to smaller tech companies or they leverage on to show monetised and personalised ads to you on their platform.

Today, Meta Inc and Google LLC are among the best places to run ads on. Their large user base allows them to have the information of millions of people.

As funny as this may be, these Big Tech Companies also collaborate among themselves to share data, for instance your data on Amazon can be shared with Meta and vice versa.

Improvements.

These data are also used to track current user analytics in comparison to past ones. If users are now getting uninterested in a particular platform, the analytics will make them aware of it and from this data, they can accurately predict the reason and make readjustments by releasing new features.

Social Media algorithms are a good example of this. Any social media post that generates little interest which is marked by likes, comments, shares, etc will not be displayed on the feed of many people, and those posts that keep people pausing and engaging will keep being displayed to others.

User Privacy: How Safe is our Data?

Is it really ethical for these big tech companies to keep and use our data? Technically, yes. By using their services, you're consenting to allow them to use all the data about you that they need to function. It is in their data, privacy and cookie policy and also in their terms and conditions.

As long as you've accepted those agreements, you've given them the right to use it.

Now, to the question of the safety of our data, how are these data stored? The most sensitive data like passwords, exif data(data from the pictures we upload) is encrypted during transmission and storage while the rest, though not encrypted, is stored in a secure database.

Your data is not accessible to their staff and only very few people are allowed access to the database, and of course, they sign legally binding contracts. Be rest assured that your data is safe as long as it's a legitimate platform.

Recently, there have been growing concerns from users of the Big Five on what they do with their data, as it seems that these platforms aren't exactly transparent with what they do with our data. They won't tell you straight up what happens to your data, but the signs are too obvious.

Among the privacy concerns is that of sharing user data with government and Military organisations, but these big tech companies just like every other accusations, have repeatedly denied it.

The biggest collector among them, Google has faced the highest amount of accusations regarding user data. There's literally a Google service for anything you want. One of the accusations against them which gained widespread reputation is that of secretly listening to android users through Google Assistant well, who knows?

In conclusion, big tech companies have really done a lot for us, even with the collection of our data, we owe a lot to them, especially to the ease of doing business, and this is fuelled by our data. From the collection to the usage, the job is okay and deserves an excellent check. They still have a lot to adjust, like permitting users to be very specific about the type of data they want to share and when to delete these data from their databases, they've actually been making progress in the area of allowing users being specific about their shared data, but just like the Giants they are, more is still expected from them.

On the part of every user, try as much as you can to read and understand the terms and conditions of any service before using, especially if you're very conscious of your data.

Business / World Kustomers Shares What They Think About The Future Of Micro-lenders Nigeria by ICTNEWS: 1:40pm On Aug 14, 2023
In our civilised world today, one thing that is common and vital in aiding the continuous existence and improvement of civilisation and advancement of man is the act of trading.

Undeniably, this act is something that can't be found in any animal community, except that of we humans.

Our society depends on it so dearly that without trading, a lot of catastrophic events will occur. We simply need to make an exchange for what we have to get something else that we don't have but desire to have.

And it is as a result of this need for peaceful exchange that a medium was invented, something of value that must be given out to get what we want. That medium of exchange is what we refer to as money.

Its first trait is VALUE. Being valuable means that it has to be protected as it is a scarce resource. Everyone wants more of it — the buyer and the seller.

As a result of this need to protect money, humans saw the need to have institutions of trust that would help in protecting and accounting for this medium of exchange, banks were invented.

The banking industry has a very long history with every era coming with its own uniqueness and advancements to meet the needs of its trustees. Today, in every territory, there are banks alongside their regulatory bodies, but have these banks done well enough for us?

For a long time, commercial banks have been the thing, whatever side you fall into, seller or buyer, as long as you have money to protect, you have an account set up with a bank.

But, in recent years, there is now a decline in the trust people have on banks, from their seemingly mystic way of operating to the consistent failed transactions to rampant complaints of illegally taking customers' money. People no longer trust these commercial banks and this is where Fintech companies or Microfinance Banks come into the picture.

- Product Name

Microfinance Banks are those miniature banks licensed to carry out financial services.
Initially, they began by acting as loan banks, assisting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with financial aids to set up or expand their operations, gradually, they started giving out loans to individuals, then as user trust grew, they began engaging in daily banking activities with their customers like sending and receiving of money.

Today we have them in their hundreds in Nigeria with many of them lacking physical presence, yet, processing transactions running in billions monthly.

How they are able to do this when the big commercial banks are still in operation, we'd get to find out soon.

- Features: What makes these banks rank?

We'd be making a comparison between these features of theirs and how it relates with commercial banks in Nigeria.

° Ease of granting loans:

Have you ever heard of any statement that says that banks don't give you loans when you are broke and urgently need it, they give it to you when you don't actually need it. To break this down, if you walk into a commercial bank to request for a loan, if you don't have valuable assets, you won't get that loan as these banks only give loans to rich people.

But in the case of microfinance banks, low income earners can get loans and the process involved in getting these loans are so simple and quick that literally anyone with a proven KYC can get one. This very feature has been one of the key reasons microfinance banks are growing largely today.

° Less or No Transaction Charges:

It seems like microfinance banks leveraged on the harsh economy of the country and made their features resonate accurately with the low income earners. One thing that commercial banks have gained notoriety for is crazy transaction charges.

They charge you for literally anything you do, and these charges, compiled together, aren't something to overlook. Many Nigerians now see these charges as methods these banks use in subtlety stealing from them in a legal way (kind of) and with the advent of microfinance banks offering lesser transaction fees, Nigerians have made a huge migration, though, not completely.

° Faster Transaction:

What's more painful than making a transfer to someone who needs it urgently and the money takes hours, or even days to reach the receiver's end? Virtually all of us have experienced that sometime in the past, especially during the cash crunch caused by the CBN's and Federal Government cashless policy, but the irony of it was that during those trying times, it was the microfinance banks that came to the aid of many, and even after the cash crunch, many people have made these Microfinance Banks their go-to place for transactions especially business people.

° Mobile App Optimisation:

Another thing that these microfinance banks have in common is the optimisation of their mobile Apps. Click to action rate is fast, their apps are user friendly and one can open an account and make transactions right there on the app.

This is unlike that of the commercial banks that have a touch of ambiguity, often slow and as many users have complained, crash a lot. Aside from that, the apps of these commercial banks are storage intensive, hence, they pose a challenge for users whose phones have low storage. User interface is equally terribly poor!

° Customer Service:

What do you expect from an organisation that has little or no physical presence? Great customer service. With Microfinance Banks, one can lay a complaint, report a problem and even block transactions on their accounts with just a phone call or from the App. in the case of commercial banks, many of the stuff you have to do can't be done remotely either due to unavailability of good remote customer service or bank policies.

When it comes to overall performance of microfinance banks, they've done a very good job making banking easier in this digital era, but they are not perfect, not exactly close to being perfect as the banking system is so vast that there are a million and one thing that can go wrong which oftentimes isn't the fault of the banks.

They still need to work on some of their services, especially in the areas of security. The ease of validating user requests can be exploited by cyber criminals and used against their unsuspecting customers.

Establishment of more physical offices is also something many of them don't take seriously, not only does it make them look mature and ready for business, it increases accountability. Well, at least in the African/Nigerian business space where total digital or contactless operation is yet to be fully adopted.

Aside from security, they also fail when it comes to issuing debit cards, their delivery time range isn't always accurate which is a terrible thing, and they have limited availability of card issuing companies. Opay for instance supports only Verve cards (at the time of making this report) making it difficult for customers who prefer other card companies to key in to their debit card feature.

- An Ending Note

No Bank can do it better than the rest, it's an infinite competition, but Microfinance Banks have indeed raised the hopes of many when it comes to banking.

To answer the question "What Does The Future Look Like For Fintech Microfinance Banks Operating In Nigeria?" The future is indeed is promising, although the competition is tight, but only the most innovative can evolve and survive the next big swipe.

Business / Wema Bank Makes Worldkustomers G00D B00K 2023 List by ICTNEWS: 12:29pm On Jul 19, 2023
So, just last week, World Kustomers finally published their 2023 G00D B00K list entry winner, and Wema bank made the list this year as the brand of the year.

The list is often compiled by the WK research team and thorough background research about the organization is carried out to determine who makes the list for each year, it's often a tough decision to make because it has to be narrowed down to one brand.

Last year, Print Doctor Africa got the first spot and was listed on World Kustomers G00D B00K page. There are a lot of determining factors and things the team look at before publishing a brand's name on the G00D B00K list on the WK page - You can find more details on the G00D B00K page.

Congratulations to Wema Bank for making this list.

Family / Help, My Wife Has Been Stealing Money From Me by ICTNEWS: 10:25am On Apr 18, 2023
Dear sir Turner and Mara-Times readers, I'm really going through rough times due to what my wife has been doing.

In fact, as I write this, I no longer have a job to care for my children because my wife has been stealing my company's money for about 3 years and now my boss has fired me eventually because there was always shortage and he got tired of hearing one excuse or another.

I worked in an organization where we deal mostly with clients who pay in cash, and in most cases because of how the nature of the work is, I may not have time to take the cash to the bank that day, so I would usually bring it home and the very next day before heading to work, I would usually pay to the bank.

I would discover that in most cases, when I get to the bank there would be shortage, sometimes as much as 50k and I'd have to pay with my salary. The organization would deduct from my salary until I've fully paid off.

Initially I thought maybe my maid was the issue, I fired the first one and hired another one and just 3 weeks later the trend continues and this has continued for too long that my boss thought maybe I'm just intentionally removing company's money for personal purposes, until he eventually fired me.

Now I'm jobless for awhile now and I struggle to keep body and soul together, bills are piling up. I have gone to my boss to plead with him and he isn't listening to me because he thinks the same thing will repeat itself.

My wife has confessed that she was responsible for all the money that has been missing and that she's sorry!

I seriously don't know what to do at this point, but to be honest I'm somehow considering a divorce - But I am also considering our 2 kids who would have to live without the mother care. They're grown a bit, 8 and 5 years.

I feel this will have a very negative effect on them. But on the other hand, I'm thinking if she did something that is this bad that led to my sack, she could do even worse if I Iet her stay. Because come to think of it, a woman that has been stealing from me for these years, isn't there a possibility that she can be cheating on me?

I'm even wondering what she did with those money she stole. Although she said she was giving it to her family for support. But there was never a time that she requested something on behalf of her family that I didn't do my best to meet their needs, at least within my capacity.

I really need your advice on this because I just get irritated when I look at her. I'm vexed but I'm just keeping my cool because I'm sometimes pushed to lose it on her.

Please help me out!

Health / Re: Don’t Make The Mistake I Made by ICTNEWS: 9:20am On Apr 08, 2023
Trendygurly:
If you were like me thinking Abortion will make your life feel better then you’re in for a depressing ride!!.
I terminated a 6weeks old pregnancy because I didn’t want it
Hmmmm
I was being foolish and hopeless
Now I’m so regretting my actions
I feel so suicidal and the only way I can cope is by leaving it here. I’m such a selfish demon!!!
The gentleman responsible for it accepted it with all his might and Love but because of the demon In me I went ahead to tamper and terminate my a month baby!!
I feel sorry for my darling fiancé too cause I don’t deserve him!! He begged me to birth the child and give it to his mum but i vehemently refused !!

I don’t think I can ever recover from this life disastrous act!!
My baby was suppose to be due by 28th November 2023
If you ask me why I did what I did
I can’t even explain!!

God doesn’t make mistakes.. He knew I needed this child in my life because Apart from my Fiancé nobody cares about me and then he gave me this beautiful creature to love me and care for me and I had the nerve to discard it like a piece of thrash … Ahhhhh Lord have mercy on me !!

The painful part is I don’t even know if the abortion was successful cause the blood I saw wasn’t what the quack nurse that did it for me said!! Now I’m on a cross road whether the abortion was complete or whether I’m still expecting a damaged and disfigured child!!

Please don’t be like me
Don’t follow my path
I hope I recover from this and if I don’t so be it.
Hi good morning, please can we share this story at maratimes.com.ng?

Family / What Growing Up In A Violent Home Felt Like For Rita & How She's Recovering by ICTNEWS: 3:12pm On Mar 28, 2023
This is a real life experience of a young lady (who for personal reasons have decided to remain anonymous) but for the purpose of this publication, we'll call her Rita.

Rita is a Nigerian girl, and like any typical local family setting, she grew up in a very hostile home environment. Because of how they were all treating each other in her family, it left a lot of bad energy, built up so much complicated interpersonal relationship with other people that she would often come across.

Rita's Narrating........

I grew up in a family of 8, it's a home like war zone - fights and quarrels was like a basic routine for everyone, this has to happen at least two to three days each week. My family had nothing like love spelt in us, we were either found fighting each other or having hot arguments amongst ourselves over very little mistakes that could have been settled amicably among us.

We all had scars on our bodies as a result of the physical fights we often have. I still have the scar from the bite my elder sister bit me on my right hand during a fight we had in our late teens.

The scar was so obvious that anyone who saw it would quickly assume I was bitten by a so angry person or a person who has a vile temper and it happens to be true. We all had this vile and ruthless behaviour towards each other but there also were moments when we find comfort and had fun with each other. But, those moments were rare, because the anticipation of another battle or the consciousness of a possible misunderstanding that could happen during the course of our fun moment was always somewhere ringing in my mind.

Growing up in such tough & toxic atmosphere affected the way I related with other people, it had affected my openness towards others. I got to realize that I became so authoritative, rude, defensive and hostile towards my friends after a short period of getting to know them and as a result of this attitude of mine, I lost so many friends.

This kept happening and I kept losing so many good people & friends, I will always have a nice beginning with them and along the line, the aura of our friendship becomes bad due to my dark beginnings in life. Sincerely, on my own end I didn’t like the way I keep losing friends and not having to keep friends for a long time. Often times, I tend to feel unhappy with myself for treating them badly and for that period I couldn’t help myself.

I had my breakthrough from this enemy separating me from lots of good people when I started chasing after growth and developing myself personally. In my journey of personal development, I got to understand that my character has a huge role to play in dealing with anyone and that striving to maintain a healthy relationship with people could aid my growth and also give me room to great platforms.

So, I decided to intentionally become nice to people and build up this love of God already in me. I refused to allow the damage of my early life and my bad family experiences keep controlling my future or my relationships.

I decided it wouldn't have any hold on me again. So, what I did to repair this damage was to begin with my family members, little by little I will deliberately show them some acts of kindness and love, amazingly they reciprocated those acts of mine, it was really amazing how they also wanted to be shown love, feel loved and reciprocate it too, but the foundation wasn't there from the onset, which caused all the problems we all had.

I also chose to build my spirituality, I tried to train my conscience on the best way to treat people, how to speak, what to say and how to act towards everyone. Most times, I will have to check if what I am going to say or do to them will be cool by me If I had been the one spoken to. As I began this journey, I realized that I was becoming better each day in my relation with people. My relationship with my friends started becoming better than before and I can boldly count some few friends I have a good relationship with right now.

In all honesty, I feel the goodness I now radiate would have been immeasurable if my family had set the standards from the beginning, nonetheless, I am still grateful for where I am today, I am unbroken now, although still fixing my life, I believe it's a lifetime process. But it is a life that I enjoy living.

I'd like to keep sharing my love towards every individual that I come across every day of my life that I have this breath in me.
