Some optometrists and ophthalmologists own eye clinics together. Thelish eye Centre one of the biggest in Nigeria is owned by a Nigerian optometrist and Indian ophthalmologist.
You nincompoop, the name surgeon does not translate to lucre. The most lucrative part of eye care is refraction. You block head go and ask any ophthalmologist you know whether there are optometrists richer than him. Even they themselves acknowledge the fact. In Lagos the biggest eye centres are owned by optometrists. Ophthalmologists run locum in many of them. Go and look around and stop advertising your foolishness. ophthalmologists make a bulk of their money from locum in clinics owned by optometrists.

Hi nairaland, am about to put in my first jamb, I always want to be doctor or dentist. I av radiography sudent as a brother, he told me dentist is a good profession but wat really shot me down now was he said why study the mouth when u are so intelligent to study the whole body. Am confused, does that mean dentist study the mouth alone.
Nevertheless I still love the proffesion.
Dental student in the building, pls enlighten how things are going on over there in term of lecture, exams and job prospectives.
Plzz give ur view on this two profession.
