FSolar: Moral of the sweet story is that "V4 engine" is not the right phrase. You can call it i4 (in-line 4) or 4-plug engines. The "V" title starts from V6.
Concerning your worries, if you find a Toyota Corolla of the same year in good condition and within your budget, BUY IT. It's the most economical car in the world and you will never have to worry about the front wheel arms coming off. EVER!!! Read my post again and quote "v4 engine ". Some nairalander folks , smh sha |

( 1.6,1.8,2.0,2.2,2.4,2.7liter i4 engine are very Economical in ascending order compared to their i6,i8,v6,v8. Since you're a student with low budget,I recommend 1.6/1.8 liter engine of any car model make. Check engine variations online of your 2005 civic ,happy driving in advance |

Bolustical: It is their problem, not ours.
When their self professed son GEJ was in power,
They saw him work on the Abuja-Kaduna rail road,
They saw him construct roads in the north and build Alamajiri schools,
The Igbo elders were more interested in money sharing and not infrastructural development,
Politics is all about interests,
Reason why we SWers are wiser, now that we are are the center, all rail projects have been initiated from Lagos(Lagos-Ibadan, Lagos-Kano, Lagos-Calabar)
Road projects too are not left out. (Lagos Ibadan Exp Way must be concluded)
That is what politics is all about-interests and not gragratic emotions.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How Can One Get A Letter From A Senator/hor/governor/general? by id4sho(m): 10:35pm On Jul 14, 2017 |
NigerianLady: Hi, I got my letter jan 31st this year, at the national Assembly(NA) & got the job at a Federal institution in this country infact just the next day...My qualifications are just as yours but was to no avail till I got this letter. I was told the same thing as you& decided to try my luck out..I met a lady in passing, who spoke about looking for a contract from NA, so I called her up& told her what I was looking for. Then she connected me to an SLA inside(because you can't get pass the security there without 4stages-1)that person inside has to send your name to be printed outside 1st with a code 2) you'd have to go into a room with the code where you'd be snapped& asked questions, then given a card number 3)you'll face the main security who would ask you to call up that same person to send a delegate to come pick you up roaming ISNT allowed, but my experience was different funny enough the SLA was very nice& gentle always calling me(third stage)...but it still delayed a while,so I just stepped aside & waited..Now typical nigerians with their bragging rights came along with "don't you know me",how dare you speeches but the security was firm, then fortunately I was called & the man said I was calm& I should go in..4)you drop an ID card or your hand set(I dropped an expired drivers license)pheew! Was so lucky It slipped then you'll be given a red card(if you are going for a senator&green if its an Representative)..I got in but my dear if not for that SLA(special legislative Aid)my mission that day would have just come to an end because everywhere is with only numbers(2.7.4,2.1.1) not either names of states or names of the honorable..but I believe if you can get that far you shouldn't leave till you get what you want why? Because its your right& their duty to recommend you for what you want but that was even after investigating! (yes the senator called people who should at least know my folks),even when I had my state of origin certificate! hope this is helpful. hi, pls was the letter from the senator addressed to the Director-General /Chairman of Board/vice chancellor as the case maybe. Thanks in anticipation |

Car Talk › Re: Check Your Cooling Systems After Acquiring That Tokunbo Vehicle by id4sho(m): 7:03pm On Jul 06, 2017 |
Mrdigitech: Hello guys, I got a Toyota Camry recently and the previous owner removed the thermostat because he was told it wasn't meant for Nigerian weather. The Vehicle was guzzling so much fuel like crazy. At first, I coped for the first few weeks. Latter, I started feeling the financial impact the vehicle's excessive fuel consumption had on my pocket. I decided to research online where I saw some threads about thermostat removal and its relation to fuel consumption. I decided go with the recommended guys ( not Kazeems ) on this forum. One said that he can replace the thermostat but I needed to verify from the previous owner if the Vehicle had overheating problems in the past. I did and the previous owner told me no. I didn't believe him though, but I decided to research a little more about a car's overheating problems till I came across Honmusa's tread. I decided to contact him and he explained what needed to be done. I discovered that he uses a cooling system test kit which presurizes the cooling system to expose leaks. So he was the right choice for me. He presurized my cooling system and a exposed a hidden leak on the pipes (thank God it wasn't Radiator) I sighed. We fixed it and pressurised it with his kit and it was peefect. However, a Kazeem (Toyeeb actually) worked on my alternator earlier in the day and didn't fix the wires properly. This disconnected my instrument cluster and power windows. All the guages were dead. I was wondering how I would be able to drive home without seeing the cluster guages. How do I know the car's temperature was rising beyond the accepted level? But Honmusa assured me that no overheating situation would occur. I took his word and entered heavy traffic. No overheating and I switched on my AC non stop and it didn't cause any problem. I drove 30km home and back to his workshop without issues. Guys! Honmusa is the REAL DEAL when it comes to vehicles. He has tools and kits for almost everything. The Kazeem (who worked on my alternator in the morning) I took to him to see Honmusa and he was just surprised at his indepth technical abilities but he was still adamant and ignorant. He cleaned up his mess and I went home happy. The Kazeem I took was very ignorant and boastful that he doesn't need to scan anything. That he has lots of experiences. That good guys don't need to scan anything. That all they need to do is see the vehicle and know what to do. I looked at him and saved my breath. Guys, take your lovely ride to Honmusa and stay a 1000 miles away from Kazeems, Toyeebs, alfas and Kazeem's distant relatives, they'll wreck you... I own a 2003 Camry too and I want to put back my thermostat. Pls I need your price break down of thermostat, pressure test, labour etc . I reside in Abuja so as to know when paying |

ramolegbe: Hello people, I am new to this forum, but I believe I am in the right place as you all are discussing a subject I want to deeply get involve in. I live in the US and I want to start exporting car parts home to 9ja. My problem however, is finding a mechanic that will disassemble the salvage cars that I get and prepare them for export. If anyone has such a contact, I will be eternally grateful. Also, I do not intend to just give all away because I am in a hurry to sell. Consequently, I will need a warehouse to store my merchandise as I wait for the right client. How do I get a warehouse on a permanent bases. Also, I intend to export all the undamaged parts of the salvage. Considering this scenario, can anyone give me an approximate amount of salvage Toyotas, Hondas, or BMWs that will fill a container. Thanks for your assistance. pls, I need a shipping company in USA where I can send an engine to after purchase for onward shipping to nigeria |

OmoAkerele: I’ve been enjoying following your trend, pele about your exhaust…I feel you, considering we call ourselves giants of Africa, Nigerian roads are some of the worst in West African, both in terms of infrastructure and driver mentality.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but even if Aso Rock still uses 406 as an official vehicle, definitely not the V6… shouldn’t our Police know that.
Thanks for the links to the troubleshooting web sites. With someone like Siena on this trend, I dare not claim to be too technical, I did start an apprenticeship as a road side mechanic in Lagos (#12 Oba Akran Ikeja) but never made it as far as getting my freedom. After owning a few 505s of the years, (of which 2 got stolen in London ) I do do some limited DIY on them. Attached are pictures of some of the 505 I once owned.
I have no intention of changing this my V6 Auto to manual, Auto gives a more cruising feeling with such an old car, but whenever I do the road trip again, it would have to be in a manual. I believe manual transmission is better suited for such kind of trips.
Upgrading my sound system is a project planned for next year. I’ll post the pics once I get started.
