FamilyRe: Why Can't Your Children Speak Your Language by Ideraolu(op): 10:45pm On Feb 08, 2012
Odunnu:
When your spouse is from a different geographical location from you and both of you use the official English language in communicating, what language would be advisable to be used for the children when they come?
A very clinical way to visit the topic, I can't agree with you more that english language will be a common ground where both parent are of different language.

What of parents that are from the same part of the world i.e, Igbo-Igbo, Yoruba-Yoruba, Hausa-Hausa?.
FamilyWhy Can't Your Children Speak Your Language by Ideraolu(op): 10:07pm On Feb 08, 2012
Fellow NL, i have a burning issue to share via these thread.
It seems low to some parents to see their children speak their native language.
In comparison to other ethnics beyond the shore of Nigeria, The French, Germans, latvians, Chinese, Indians but to mention a few train their kids with their native tongue with pride.

Most facilities in the U.K., now have some signages and literatures in some of their documents written in Nigerian Laguages but in Nigeria we are divorcing our native languages for endless reasons.

Does understanding your language impedes opportunities?.

Please, lets share some of our objective views.
Thanks

Yes. Lets discuss skin bleaching. I think their is nothing wrong with it. They say it causes cancer but has that been proven low percentage hydroquinone is relatively safe to use over a long term basis, the research has shown. Now i have toned my skin in the past and still continue to do so. My legs and other body parts are like 3 shades lighter than my face. I wanted to be 1 color so i toned. I dont see this act as being disgraceful as you stated in your post. I just see it as improving an area of my body and acheiving one colour.
Thanks for your take on the subject, i will like to respect your opinion as long as your are happy with what you have achieved.
You sound informed and know about the limit of the active content but what about those people that turns black to white overnight.
HealthWhy Do People Bleach Their Skin. by Ideraolu(op): 12:04am On Feb 08, 2012
Skin bleaching is now a trendy ideology to some. beyond doubt, some men are part of these disgraceful act.

Fellow NL, can we have some discussion on the topic in question and if possible let's have some picture to educate those that may want to switch course.

Please be objective with your rationale.

Two ladies were discussing about smoking,

Lady 1: I smoke regardless of the weather, even inside the rain

Lady 2: How do you handle smoking in the rain

Lady 1: Smiles, it's simple; just get a condom and put a hole at the end to cover your cigar.

The following morning, Lady 2 went to the grocery and ask for condom, the attendant asked which size,

Lady 2: any size that will fit a camel should be ok.

The attendant screamed,

but the lady only meant camel cigar size and not a camel's cork.

AgricultureRe: Water Melon Farming ( A Money Spinner) by Ideraolu: 2:10pm On Jan 03, 2012
decna:
Hi friends in nairaland,

Water Melon farming is real as I said because am a big time committed farmer having my large scale farm in Ota, Ogun state. Water Melon farming is capital intensive in terms of land, seedlings and Labour but has high returns for your investment.

However, for one 2 start water melon farming,

1st, one has to undergo a training programme either of a two-day or a one week depending on your decision to start-up.
A two-day course/practical will cost a prospective entreprenuer the sum of 15,000/20000.

After the training programme, the entrepreneur is expected 2 source for the land/seedlings for the farming with the help of the consultant.

Thereafter, the intending farmer will begin the preparation of the farm land by clearing and the procurement of the hybreed seedlings.

The expected harvest is for 85 days that means round the clock for one year is 4 harvests

In marketting, there is already market you can sell, open market, dealers, hoteliers, etc

Further enquiries can be forwarded to me on this post in nairaland , i will be pleased to reply.

Thanks
Hi Decna,

I'm interested in the watermelon farming, you said there can be a 4 harvest round the year.

What is the harvest yield per acre of land? any idea of the priceof land per acre for farming purpose.

Proverbs 4:20
20 Dear friend, listen well to my words;
tune your ears to my voice. (msg)
Just the same way we fine tune our transistor radios carefully adjusting the nub back and forth in other to achievement clearity on a particular frequency, we can fine tune our ears to the frequency of God's voice and one way to achieve that is through fasting which almost always goes with prayer (prayer and fasting)
Well Said.

God is always talking to us but the lust of flesh impede us from hearing is voice. We align ourself to the Lord's path through fasting and receive a clear purpose of his voice.
