"Passion for the idea will pull you through the grey days"

I agree completely, passion drives you to keep moving even in the face of failure. My ex-boss told me that the only thing he learnt during his MBA is that the most significant factor of a business succeeding is the determination of the business owner him/herself. Not finances, not suport or lack of it but sheer determination of the dreamer to keep moving
Literature / Idiare Jones Diary Writing Competition: Mp3 Player & Books To Be Won by Idjones: 5:42pm On Jul 04, 2007
Winning prizes will be an mini MP3 player for the best and books for the next best 2 entries. I hope to be able to provide consolation prizes.

The topic this year is inspired by the true experience that befell my colleague i wrote about in 'Alone in a dark Alley' volume 22

I expect a write up of not more than 700 words (less is ok) about an experience with area boys. The story can be fact or fiction but it must celebrate a triumph of decency over brutality. It will be judged on simplicity, originality of expressions and the strenght of the message it passes across.

Deadline for receiving entries is July 12 2007. Winners will be announced in the last week of July. All entries should be sent to my email address(idiareno@yahoo.com).

Take care

Business / Re: When Is One Ready To Start A Company? by Idjones: 8:48am On Jul 02, 2007
Guys all your insights have been good, but i have heard one that really intrigues me. Its the statement that you shouldnt start a company until you have a customer willing and able to pay for the product/service you want to base the company on.

My real concern is that people start off with all d things w say they shld have (an idea, resources, a plan etc) yet they don't succeed!

So when do u know u're ready to start a company? I guess its when you've reached a point of no return. when u have a sink or swim conviction about the company
