Travel / Find Out How To Get Your Visa Approval In Foreign Embassies In Nigeria by iDoPub: 9:14pm On Oct 19, 2016

Getting your visa approved by foreign embassies is an important first step when planning to travel abroad. The application process is usually a mountain to surmount and many Nigerians struggle to secure foreign visas every day. A large number of Nigerians want to travel abroad for different reasons such as:

- To search for better employment opportunities;

- To pursue their studies;

- For vacation

And most commonly to search of ‘greener pastures’! The visa application process is quite tedious, and every application is assessed rigorously and decisions are based on various merits. According to The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs,

“Supporting documents are only one of many factors a consular officer will consider in your interview. Consular officers look at each application individually and consider professional, social, cultural and other factors during adjudication. Consular officers may look at your specific intentions, family situation, and your long-range plans and prospects within your country of residence. Each case is examined individually and is accorded every consideration under the law.”

During an interview by Vanguard Nigeria in May 2015, The U.S. Mission in Nigeria says that no fewer than 220,000 Nigerians applied for non-immigrant visas in 2014.

The Chief Consular Officer of the U.S. Embassy, Ms Stacie Hankins said its Consular Section approved 66 percent of tourist visa applications.

She also said the U.S. Mission received more than 138,578 applications for non-immigrant travel to the U.S. for the 2015 fiscal year, which started in October 2014.

In this line, an Information obtained from Herald Nigeria indicates that there was a total of 202,267 visa applications, from which the US embassy made about $32.4million. Of these, 65, 858 applications were denied, yielding a denial rate of 32.56%.

Below Is a Photo That Shows US Visa Application Information of Various African Countries:

In many instances, the visa application is denied for reasons ranging from the mistake made by an agent, inability to explain the source of funds, no travel history, lack of home ties and false information etc. Most times, it discourages Nigerians from making their desired trip since a visit to many foreign countries will require a visa, especially outside Africa.

Fortunately, Travelstart Nigeria will be reveals 7 + 1 secrets on how to get your visa approved by foreign embassies in Nigeria:

1. Sufficient Funds
The pattern and consistency of inflow and outflow of funds recorded in your account are one of the most credible evidence that embassies rely on to justify giving you a visa. Apart from having sufficient funds, it is essential that it can be traced to a reliable source. If there is a sudden surge of funds in your account, that is not consistent with the average pattern over the previous 12 months, then you need to explain it. One of the criteria according to The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs state that your bank statement must reflect you can cater for your expenses while in the United States.

2. Avoid Mistakes in the Visa Application
Ensure you write your answer clearly or type them in with a clear font. Avoid run-on sentences, jargons and slang or big grammar and ambiguous phrases. Adequate and precise filling of DS 160 Online form (Nonimmigrant Visa Application form) on http://www.ustraveldocs.com/. Try to keep your responses short, simple and straight to the point. In case, there is an interview make sure your answers correspond to what is written on the forms submitted. This can increase your chance of getting your visa approved immediately

3. Do Not Give False Information
When you apply for a visa, make sure it contains no misrepresentation of fact in either the application itself or the supporting documents. Document fraud is typically discovered at the consulate when the foreign national goes in for the visa interview. If you submit fraudulent documents, such as a fake passport, educational degree, or something else, it can result in permanent visa ineligibility.

4. Be Confident When Answering Your Questions
Have an interesting interaction ability with the Consular Officer, no panicking, no fidgeting, no desperate appearance or tone, avoid lengthy responses. Try to be concise and precise. Try to be confident when responding to questions from the Consular officer, even if you are not entirely sure. The reason is because once you communicate your uneasy feeling to the interviewer, they may become suspicious of your answers. Most times, interviews that have gone smoothly can be ruined by one last weak and feeble answer by the applicant.

Romance / 4 Things That ‘unexpectedly’ Turns A Guy Off by iDoPub: 3:40pm On Apr 21, 2013
There a a few number of things known to turn guyz off, but we’ll be looking at just 4 things that you never may have expected to be a ‘turn off’.

1. Fruity scents. If you think you’re going to get his motor running with that cotton candy or creme brulee body cream, think again. According to a scent test done by editors at Cosmopolitan, sugary-smelling, fruity or lollipop-ish perfumes make guys think of the candy store or the kitchen, not the bedroom.
The better pick? A very mild scent, creamy or lathery scents will do. Guys seem to prefer to steam it up with ladies who smell like they just came straight from a sudsy shower.

2. Porn. You’re thinking, “What, how can that be” The occasional skin flick is probably no big thing, but experts say men who frequently view porn may develop unrealistic expectations of women’s appearance and behavior, have difficulty forming and sustaining relationships and feeling sexually satisfied.

3. Your tears. A study, published some years ago in the journal Science, found that when men smell women’s tears, they became less sexually aroused and were less attracted to the same women than when they smelled a saline solution that was dribbled on the women’s cheeks. Researchers think this may illustrate a biochemical cue women give off to non-verbally communicate, “Not tonight dear,” similar to when women are PMS-ing or on their periods.
Enough of the scientific jargons sha; in summary, if you really want to keep him hot and bothered, it would pay to curb the weeping.

4. The Barbie look. Many ladies never want to outgrow or quit making-up ‘Barbie style’. Super-thickening, lengthening mascara and ‘paint-on’ lip pouts. It’s a win-win, right; you have fun playing with makeup, and the result is looking gorgeous, yeah, you may earn his attention… But apparently, men aren’t as enthusiastic about it. A survey found that one in five men wished his partner would tone down their makeup, while one in ten said he liked women natural.

Fashion/Clothing Market / 15 Facts Every Adult Male Of African Descent Must Know About Prostate Health by iDoPub: 2:34pm On Apr 21, 2013
1. Your Prostate starts to gradually grow larger and larger from about the age of 35 as an Afro adult. That’s five years earlier compared to white males. Prostate enlargement is very often synonymous with prostate health risks. This is why every matured male in our community should make the effort to contribute towards the health of their prostate from very early on.

2.The fact that prostate cancer can remain largely undetected until at advance stages makes it even deadlier.

3.About half of all men will suffer prostate enlargement by the time they reach the age of 60, and by the age of 80 about 90 percent of our men will experience challenges relating to enlarged prostate.

4.African and Caribbean adult males are likely to develop prostate cancer approximately five years earlier than Caucasian counterparts.

5.Men with one or more first degree relatives (father, brother or son) diagnosed with prostate cancer have an even higher risk of the disease.

6.An unusually high stress level is often associated with most forms of cancers; and prostate cancer is not an exception.

7.Prostate cancer should not always be a deadly affair, as long as it is diagnosed on time.

8.Prostate Disease is not all about prostate cancer alone. It includes the more rampart disorders such as Prostate Enlargement, and of course Prostatitis.

9.The symptoms of prostate enlargement, or prostatis affects as much as 8 out of every 10 African or Caribbean adult males, aged 50 and above.

10.And just in case you are a bible believer, please understand that the maintenance of your physical health is not God’s responsibility. Fail to tend your Garden of Eden (your body) and the weeds of ailments are going to grow there.

11.A culture of a simple PSA prostate health check for at least twice a year is highly recommended for a typical adult Afro or Caribbean male.

12.It is an open secret! Going to see the local GP for a routine check has never been the normal “brother” thing. But is that actually a sign of weakness, as we are made to think?

13.Once we were told that “what you don’t know won’t hurt you” But how true is that really? these days, we know better that “what you don’t know is even deadlier!

14.Our men generally never really bother about their health until they are into their 50s and 60s; but by then the cumulative effects of the past years of health neglect have started to catch on.

15. We are African men, we are strong inside and outside; we are indestructible! Right? WHAT IF YOU ARE WRONG?
