ponlear:What exactly do you want? What is bad about this? Moreso, it is a private INVESTMENT. |
Belurved1:I understand you more than you understand yourself. That is another problem. |
Nteogwuija:In the base context, people are not traditionally the system. The people can only create, adopt, control or manipulate the system. Systems are created for man's use. Mostly, to organize man's INPUTS in order to produce predictable RESULTS. Democracy, computer system units, reactors, engines... these are all systems in many forms. A system has a boundary and procedures. People simply can stay within the boundaries and procedures of the system to be influenced by the system. If they go beyond the boundaries, then that system ceases to influence them. A system can be changed in and out... still for the same people. We had in times past practiced monarchial and parliamentary system of government for instance. We later adopted the presidential system for our common USE. A country's system is an intangible aspect of what the people create for their own use. Including all aspects of leadership, values, customs, methods... Some of our communities equally ditched their bad ancestral systems to embrace modern ones. They can choose to discard it someday but they themselsves remain. Systems are created by men Men are created by God... man can choose his WAYS, call it SYSTEM. SYSTEMS ARE MAN'S WAYS... METHODS AND OBJECTS OPERATING WITH METHODS. That is the difference. A car is a system The driver, being man, a user There are good cars There are bad cars How a car affects his user and vice versa, you already know. A bad driver can make a good car look bad. Besides the driver, there is a passenger, another user whose control over the car is minimal nevertheless, potent. The driver in reality is a LEADER The passengers are FOLLOWERS The car is the SYSTEM that carries them. The driver isn't the car. People also are not the system that they drive, or that drives them. Also, good manufacturers make good cars, they themselves are not the cars. Good people create and use good systems. The people themselves being the users while the system a product. In the end, an efficient system makes an effecient user. |
Nteogwuija:There is nothing to think about here. I believe you love Nigeria. Systems are created by men but the people by God. People exist before systems. Leadership, values, visions and followers make the System. Good people make good systems. Stop seeing the Country as the System. See it as the people. Put PEOPLE where ever you see COUNTRY in this post. We keep praying for a better Country , but against a bad System. We pray that the people in all their ranks and corners will decide to promote the emergence of a good System through their little and most tangible positive actions and thoughts. Again, hate the bad System but not the Country. |
Hating to learn |
Belurved1:Imagine! Too bad a thing. What is intelligent about hating ones own Country? If it has gotten to that level where the unity, peace and progress of your surrounding irritates you, then there is problem. Your surrounding includes you and everyone around you. We hate the bad System but not the Country. We don't pray for a bad System but it is rather reasonable and obligatory to pray for our Country. Many of us so pray, in pains and tears. Nigeria is experiencing peace, progress and development not absolutely but in degrees. It is all in degrees everywhere else in the World. Our prayers are Working. It should have been worst. Don't hate your country Hate the bad System Seperate the two and refine your feelings for each. |
The bridge was not poorly built. It collapsed due to landslides from areas around the site. The story itself is misleading. Why not about the collapsed bridge as one major damage incurred. |
BarrElChapo:You know the truth. If you mean to correct disrespect, you must show it first. Deal with the adult on NL and leave his mother out of it. Advocacy without humanity is like jungle justice my wanna-be-esquire. |
Sccarrr:As one advocating for respect, you should have made your point without disrespecting his mother. Disrespecting someone's innocent mother for her child's fault shouldn't be so easy. |
Sccarrr:Leave his mother out of this. She deserves some respect from whosoever. |
neonly:Bro, I understand perfectly. I have been there. I stopped going to church when I saw gross betrayal, envy , manipulations, occultic practices and evil conspiracies brew all around. I had no intention of returning as my personal relationship with God was so strong. I was so devoted to my personal walk with God... fasting, prayers... I had to return but God led me to a different denomination after much search. My advice, detatch your heart from activities and expect anything from anyone including pastors. Go to church for God whilst keeping your personal alter on fire. Be a private Christian in truth and sincerity. If going to church weren't important, you wouldn't feel uneasy about staying away. |
zenburster:Not PROUD. For choosing to write IT'S, You should have wrote PRIDE instead. Also, for all you intended to write, ILLITERACY should have matched the piece better than ILLITERATE. Please, JESUS is the right spelling. Also, use it only when necessary. This is my primal reason to correct. |
yinkeys:Lol The newspapers and radio commentaries had it at most. Aside these two, live matches only. |
Luckysbab:Lol... Mathematical English teacher. Honestly, I admire intelligence. Not just yours. |
Mindlog:Psychiatric hospital? Lol Way too exagerated. That man was not crazy. If his claims were true, then there is a spiritual side to this story. Let's speak like the enlightened, moreso, enlightened Africans. We all know the spiritual exist even when we pretend about it. The problem is always the approach. Spiritual affairs are in the most civilized ways handled in secrecy and quasi-pretence but definitely not in denial nor physical violence. The most civilized people are the most Spiritual. You scarcely can catch them talk about who chased them in their dreams. They just deal with it. |
mascot87:This is the truth my brother. We need their assistance no doubt, but they should operate the same way they would have operated if it were in American soil. |
ibedun:Being OVERTLY submissive to the West is an exagerated fault if realistic considerations are made with colonialism in perspective. Also, the west I meant is an exact location, the US. To the US, we haven't been the puppets you suggest. Meanwhile, besides trade benefits, we have received more aids from the US than from any of those eastern states. The defunct USSR and the USA were political mates before the former fragmented. Can you speak of one good they did us before the fragmentation. Even after that, Russia has been a powerful state but then like I said, with no beneficial diplomacy. Russia offers something to Africa : MILITARY HEROISM but that is wholly an emotional and psychological funding. No indirect investments, no direct investments, no special aids! Na war we go chop? That isn't enough as we have seen in the Sahel states. China and India on the other hand are only interested in trade benefits and heavy-interest loaning. France ofcourse is a more terrible colonial master. Disagree to agree with the US beyond trade Keep India and China and even France only as trade partners. They need us for Business! Keep Russia on probation until they offer us something beyond theatrical MILITARY HEROICS. Antagonizing the US merely as fans of the Russian state is rather irrationale. Being so gullible is already doing so much harm to the Sahel states. |
Brother! If Russia, France, China and India had our interest in their hearts beyond what benefits you would know. |
jyz200:The east do not have our interest at heart. They only see us as a means to tighten over America, and the entire west. No genuine interest! The fact that they think of Africa as a TOOL makes it derogatory, malicious and totally demeaning. Aside trading with China and India which ofcourse benefits them more, how else has especially France contributed to our growth? Russia is the least impressive. We could say we love what Russia represents in power theatrics but not anyway in beneficial diplomacy. |
Habbeyy:Exactly! Though obviously not from the lawmaking job because it is already a flex. The real weight is the politics and power games... seen and unseen. |
Funnily, he is an adult. You cannot blame anyone that he is appearing in a public event while under the weather. He is aware of both the cause and implications. Blaming Tinubu for Wike and Akpabio's sickly looks isn't making a neat page of propaganda. It is just funny. |
tommy589:I've equally heard many stories. God did so much good to this 6th most populated-country through the introduction of the primary Healthcare System. If not,.... The primary Healthcare System is unjustly underrated. May God continue to bless us even through the most underrated means. |
Without sentiments, this is good. You can hate APC but don't hate Nigeria in the process. Being political shouldn't alieniate integrity. People hoping the president doesn't give in just so they can backlash is another form of wickedness. The problem isn't Tinubu anymore, he Will go someday. The problem is what the citizenry is becoming. Learning to celebrate what is good is beyond courtesy, it is justice. |
valuedammy:Do not consider this as an employee. Look at it as a businessman. Every country runs as a family business with the president and its equivalent as CEOs. They should have products to sell and Services to render. They should be a plan to carter for feeding There should also be another to save FOR VARIOUS REASONS. Big businesses thrive by borrowing Money... investing and then later paying back either in intervals or at once. They grow with the profits they male. It therefore means borrowing money to invest, or run a country is not a bad idea. It is only a act done to augment for low investments from within or outside. When investors are not coming along, then borrowing is one way of reaching out to them. Either ways, a self sufficient economy would not need to borrow. An economy becomes self sufficient only when exports rises above imports. We are not there yet. Experts Will always advise you invest, make profit, save and reinvest with a BIGGER capital to grow. To live off Your savings is a bad idea The right thing is to live off Your profits whilst increasing your savings for the rainy day. You can borrow to pull returns on an immediate investments whilst leaving Your savings intact, and ofcourse growing. That is exactly why the FX reserves should increase. An increasing FX reserve is due to 2 things: 1. Increasing export/Decreasing import 2. Trade Surplus due to improved macroeconomics Increased FX connotes a secured Financial future. Infact, one way of becoming an ivy leaque economy is by increasing FX. It helps mitigate the impact of economic deficits and reduction in revenue whenever they occur. ALTOGETHER You can borrow to invest in running Your business and later pay back with interest and ofcourse keep Your profits and increase Your savings. |
Those of us in Port Harcourt can tell How busy our railway has been in recent times. Wondering what People benefit from being unpatriotic and malicious with wonky propaganda at the slightest chance. TBH, most Nigerian citizens do not deserve Nigeria. To hate Your country is not normal. |
badoh:You are a true Nigerian. |
Someone help me teach Atiku that Leaders do not complain to their followers. |
stainzvill:Funny how you underrate the people you meet on nairaland. |
thisisit:. You are right bro but adjust the proportions. Pray as much as you can but have a minimum for everyday. Consistency breeds power and increases capacity. Know thyself... A man undertaking giant tasks should understand he has more things to deal with at the place of prayer. Good enough, we all know when we've prayed enough. No be lie! Pray from Your heart and not to be known or seen by men. Else, you'd waste Your time. Pray with Your emotions invested... joy , hope, anger.... when put into prayers are very potent ways of changing things. To vex sef pray na better thing as it instantly summons faith which moves Mountains. Sometimes the flesh can be weak even though the spirit is willing. Nobody is bigger than this. At such Point, sincerely tell God you are weak... He likes sincerity; it touches Him and once He is touched the weakness goes away. At other times, we are too proud going into the place of prayers. Hiding our faults and venting mechanical words! Bro, humble yourself and reconcile with God. Tell Him how you feel about it and how you need His mercy. There is something about saying the truth, it attracts the Holy Ghost since He Himself is the spirit of truth. Speaking the truth unblocks and unburdens; it greases and brings inspiration, ventilation and utterance. Watch People who speak their minds and from their heart, they just flow without struggling... that is the help. Also learn to fast. Fasting isn't the power but it gives you the capacity to pray better. It sponsors humility, focus and faith as pride is always our major problem. Spice up Your prayer time with new things... Try praying in many languages... practice meditating into prayer. I Will explain: Try preaching to yourself while resting. Quote scriptures, draw rhema, speak in tonques... I mean just preach in a low but loud tone to the hearing of only yourself... them link it up with prayer and watch Your heart burn with fire. Finally, when you go to pray, conquer haste! Do not rush! Do not forget we cannot pray until God comes. Wait with a true and NEEDING heart. Be genuinely interested bro. Who eye service help? Then work harrrrd! You'd be the eagle in the sky of Your workplace bro. Work so harrrrd! A praying man a lot of times receives Visual guidelines that also helps him work Smart! Prayer empowers men to work Anybody who prays but does not work is fake already. The evidence of prayer is empowerment |
stainzvill:No governor nor president conducts election. It is the state, or national electoral commission that conducts election depending on the office(s). Regardless of what People think, Rivers state is becoming more peaceful than ever before. I am in Rivers state. Wike is highly respected and admired. Yesterday's election was obviously ignored by many. The whole situation is circumstantial and won't linger beyond this season. Fubara accepted all of Wike's malicious help in the first place. He is not innocent. Both slugged it out and Wike won it. Fubara's control of Rivers state as the people's governor is ideal and right, but he made it there through a System that is more powerful and for the people's sake, more benficial. |
