10naira chewing gum for 10million kids per day times 30days and 12 months is how much.

Calculate it and show the world which of your backyard factories can achieve that in 12years. This are not companies that import or produce sub-standard goods. Even Inoson, how many of his cars have you bought.

You lack business intelligence.
aturu ojiii!!!! calculate 160million Nigerians that buy juhel, emzor or orange drugs paracetamol @100 per card multiplied by 30 days and tell me how much u got.

In fact you did more harm to this thread than you could imagine.

Compare the aforementioned with Honeywell, Caverton Helicopters, Skyway Aviation, Airline services and logistics, Bi- Courtney, First nation, Global fleet, Chicken republic, Yale foods, tantalizers, sweet sensation, Tastee fried chicken, mama cass, Nicon insurance, vigeo, livestock feeds et all too plenty
this is why most yorobars are cows. so u are listing fast food outlets and chewing gum houses as manufacturing outfit. all the the Igbo companies I gave u produce one tin or the other.

ichidodo: Frustrated soul pray tell who owns the American Economy? The Jews right? But they never get to govern the country likewise The igbos are engine room of the Lagos Economy and given their republican tendencies would surely forfeit political power for Economic power ofcourse at the same time maintain both Economic and Political power in their homelands as well.I could say we own 100% of our Land but own 40% of the choicest yoruba real estate, now i sense where your pain is coming from
that's why they are not happy with the Igbos. we run them down even in their village's. if you will imagine the hate and bitterness in their hearts knowing they will eventually go and submitt their meagre income to any Nwafor weneva they go to computer or Alaba to buy things

why is it that your bodies are always hot once you are reminded Lagos has always been, is and will forever be a yorubaland aka SW.

instead of you to develop political will to develop Enugu or Aba or Owerri or Onitsha, you are here contending what is not.

Ok oooo. the owners of a place rules a place or in your father's house, it is your neighbour on the 3rd street that rules in your house. The Oba and the political class clearly demonstrates who owns it. So, never bring this topic up again for discussion.

akpa amu dika gi!!!!!! why are those companies not in the other slum states of yirobar land? why are there not the likes of alaba or trade fair market or computer village in Ibadan or oshogbo? why are there not the huge Igbo population in Ibadan as we occupied lekki, okota, festac etc?

we are in Lagos becos of it's former status and facilities built by FG. did yorobars build third mainland bridge? did you build the seaports and MMA? were you the people that built the numerous FG expressways? did you build the first housing estate in Nigeria at surulere? did you build the national stadium or theater? did you build festac?
Parties dont bring development, people do. When you have a party of high achievers and men of principled ideologies, then measurable developments and success on ground is certain. If Imo State can stabilize itself politically, I see it leading the Eastern states into a new era of sociopolitical awakening.

In addition to tax not being a custom, there is also not enough tax base in East to generate the income. For instance the entire Anambra state only had 1.76million registered voters in 2013. The voting age bracket is also the manpower age bracket..in other words those capable of productive labour. So if we say for some weird reason unemployment in Anambra is zero. This would mean all 1,76million people are gainfully employed and making income and paying tax. How much tax will the government get in a year from PAYE - pay as you earn?

Probably not enough to run one LG.

So then you will end with a deficit in budget and how do you plug that? Currently they wait for hands down from FG.

If these people have cars then there shoud be fees associated with registration. Govt should erect toll gates. Radio and Tv should be licensed. Govt should build a internet node stations and power it 24/7 and charge fee for usage. Instead of endangering lives on road, inter state traders should have clearing house for commodities. Govt should subsidize haulage of containers but charge heavy tax on shops. Offer relocation incentives to grow the tax base. If you relocate your business from Lagos to Onitsha and stay put for 10yrs you only pay 25% tax first 2yrs, you pay 50 % the next 2, 75% next 2 and 100% thereafter.

These are some of the things that can be done to prop up the economy and self reliance.
Ewu yorobar!!!! am from IMO state and I don't want you to tel us how we will lead the South East. Come 2015 we will vote out the clown rochas from Douglas house.

of course, they will MUST pay our tax because they are on our land and they are using our amenities. what does that mean, more money for our govt and more amenities to come and more better standard of living for us.

Dont you get it, any which way, you guys are doomed. If the companies you mentioned are running away from your land, then it is a sad and pathetic story with its attendant effect in the present and foreseeable future.
mumu!!! these companies are not in red mud slums of yorobar but in Lagos. these companies employs mostly Igbos and pay meager taxes to ur government and chopping money to ur army of agbero and amaljiris.

superstar1: the whole of their business in Nigeria is what Dangote alone generates in SW. How much more Otudeko's Honeywell and Adenuga's Glo. The one we thought was a decent and honest man among them -Cosmas Maduka - we just discovered, he is a corporate dubious person like his brothers in Alaba and Ladipo markets.

Sw is so bad, business are springing up right left and centre. Dangote is starting a petrochemicals in Ondo, the steel rolling mill in osogbo is starting in January with enough market for multinational construction companies, the Machine tools in Osogbo will start production for Oil and Gas - as i am speaking, Mobil has completed plans to ensure the machine Tools in osogbo will be producing their pipes by first quarter of 2014.

what does that mean. More business opportunities for the locals, ranging from pure water seller to the hoteliers. More employment and of course more tax for the govt and more social amenities.

Please dont pay your tax and dont ask your Govs questions too. Bunch of retardeens.
in our mix we have the likes of
Where were you when this subject was discussed at length?

Zik was instrumental in Njoku and Dike's position.. As was with everything else in that era that the Ibo man was believed by Zik to be better than any other Nigerian, qualified and tenured professors of Yoruba stock were stepped over to install an Ibo man from underneath them. Achebe himself was tutored by Yorubas and in fact introduced to creative writing through a group called Mbari Mbayo. Achebe, Okigbo, Clark and Soyinka were some of the members. Mbari Mbayo was sponsored by a German researcher in UI, Uli Beier, who also happened to be Suzanne Wenger's husband. Yorubaland was surrogate for all Ibo scholars that achieve fame in one form or other.
Ayekotoo: can you dominate yoruba in the area of education? its a fact that your chinua achebe benefited from the sage's free education. yes, we had one Igbo vc in UI then but majority of the lecturers are yorubas. go and figure that
Liar!!!! why do you guys lie so much? so Achebe benefited from yorobar wack substandard educated and was able to attain that height in literature? Ibadan was a colonial school (a campus of university of London) and was not built by awo the otapiapia taker. Achebe went to Ibadan on scholarship from eastern government to study medicine but later changed to literature mid way though he lost the privilege eventually and he his elder brother paid his tuition fees till he was out of there.

Ayekotoo: Ekiti state with her meagre allocation is layering optic fibre cables everywhere.
Ekiti state has surveillance camera scatter across the state capital Ado- Ekiti and still installing.
Ekiti was the first state in Nigeria to give out laptops and made it mandatory for all senior high school students to have laptops as pre-requisite for admission unlike the best Igbo governor who barely 3 months started giving laptops to whoever. its called Igbo philosophy but we call it 'damage control'
mumu!! installing cameras is what you call development? we are talking of empowering people to be masters of their destiny and here u are talkin about cameras. how many manufacturing outfit are there in ekiti? how many hotels are there in ekiti? how many cement houses are there in ekiti? every school in Anambra state already has internet facilities for the past 6 yes now courtesy of Mr Obi.

geeez: How does this your ranting change the fact that Ogun's IGR is more than double Abia's which is the highest in the SE?

How does it change the fact that Osun has a higher IGR than Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra and Imo?

How does it change the fact that Ekiti has a higher IGR than Enugu?

How does this your gibberish change the fact that yorobarland is a big slum with mud houses?

how does it change the fact that the beggars in Ibadan is by far more than what we have in south east?

how does it change the fact that the FG is building amaljiri schools for ur homeless kid thrown out due to extreme poverty?

how does it change the fact that CBN introduced cashless banking in anambra and abia due to high cash movement while none in ur five states of south west?

how does this change the glaring fact that no state in yorobar is as beautiful as Enugu or owerri?

how does it change the fact that 70% of ur youths are either agbero or omonile?
