PoliticsRe: Igbo Leaders Reject Okurounmu National Conference Panel’s Report by ifechez: 9:31am On Jan 07, 2014
kel4soft: Who told you Igbos don't know the conference is a charade. Just that the current Igbo political office holders don't want to offend their oga at the top. Here in Port Harcourt, most Igbos I speak to are very different from with the way they see politics compare with their NL counterparts.
am also in portharcourt. what u read here is the same sentiment as we in portharcourt.

CultureRe: Why Do Yorubas Return The Bride-price To The Groom's Family? by ifechez: 1:47pm On Jan 01, 2014
Baby mama: This is a stupid question to ask
It's like me asking how much do Yorubas borrow for owanbe?
The Igbo culture varies from community to community and marriage rites can vary from family to family sef
In my case after the token bride price was paid,my father took one Naira and gave the rest back
We all make jests about high bride price in Igboland and I join in
But common sense should tell you that all igbos are not millionaires
In Igboland are poor people too and they are getting married daily, how are they paying for it?

I can assure you the average Yoruba wedding costs a whole lot more than an average Igbo wedding
Igbos are certainly not as flamboyant and generally would not go into debt to throw an Owambe and repeat it 9 months later in a naming ceremony

Even the culture of asho ebi crept into Igboland not too long ago
We didn't do asho ebi till the other day
Not our culture
Neither do we block streets in merriment and show of wealth
But you folks keep hammering on this same sorry line about bride price
Mschtwwwwwww!!!
Why are people from your area trooping to Igboland for wives despite these supposedly cut throat bride prices that will impoverish them ?
Why are my brothers not rushing the "cheaper versions" where the little they pay is even returned
Why are Igbo men sticking to Igbo women
Have you asked yourself that question
when you know the average Igbo man wants a profit grin
Why is he not crossing the River niger for bargain wives while your brothers are rushing Igbo girls to be fleeced
Food for thought

Happy new year
Gbam!!! Post of the NEW YEAR.

Obi Okpor: you all are just bn too childish, most especially the person that said he served in the state.I must tell you that Ebonyi State is the heart of the East in terms of agriculture, education and in politics and military.Your problems is that you morons under-rate my beloved state.Am prouud to be one.Yes,we are honest and hard working and that is why you see Ebonyians in all the sectors of the economy.I don't blame the fool that said we are too local and we don't travel,i quote you low pathetic imbeciles wrong about my state. In the south -east,Ebonyi is the most intelligent,if you no like am,just "go and die" shikina. Can you idiots tell us your own states and we ll justify you idiots by that.I remain a son of the soil, and i must represent my state in any where. *PROUDLY EBONYIAN*
GBAM. Proudly Imoebonyian!!
PoliticsRe: Is Ebonyi No Longer Part Of Nigeria? by ifechez: 9:21am On Dec 31, 2013
kambah: I think that state is one of worst states in Nigeria. we have others as KEBBI, ZAMFARA etc. Moreover, the state governor is old and outdated.
He may be old but certainly not outdated. three rice mill nobi beans. state Secretariat with elevators nobi beans. massive rural development such that the entire communities disconnected from each other by ebonyi river had been linked with Bridges. construction of a new city in abakiliki called ochudo city. and many more.
PoliticsRe: Is Ebonyi No Longer Part Of Nigeria? by ifechez: 9:15am On Dec 31, 2013
pls!!!! leave Ebonyi state alone. they are not there yet but based on what is being put on ground they will surely be there and even overtake many.
PoliticsRe: Is Ebonyi No Longer Part Of Nigeria? by ifechez: 9:04am On Dec 31, 2013
boniflex: For real d state is still made up of primitive individuals, xpecially in rural part of abakiliki, very local and primitive lol, pls guys just try and watch d film (Nwa Abakiliki) u will know wat am telling u lol....

PoliticsRe: Is Ebonyi No Longer Part Of Nigeria? by ifechez: 8:59am On Dec 31, 2013
kel4soft: I have lived in Port Harcourt for larger part of my life. I can count one or two Ebonyi peeps I have met. Even while in school, you rarely find them. Compare that to other SE states. Then, you know exactly what the OP is talking about.

Another State that comes to mind in South-South is Cross River to be honest. Quite out there.
If you come to st john's junction iwofe road u will notice that majority of shop owners are from ebonyi state and they are doing well.

ketoprofen: Guy, that was just an eg.
A common slogan in today's Lagos elderly indigenes is: igbos have invaded and bought our heritage.
its there all over the media.
As for u youngsters that want to drbink the claim, it will only get worse for u
They no know. do you know people still construct a face-me-I-face-you bungalows without plastering or paint in Lagos and other yatibar lands. go to ijegun where they are predominant and see suffer heads. But go to festac or okota where Igbos live and see affluence.
PoliticsRe: The Population Density Of Igbo Land by ifechez: 11:36pm On Dec 27, 2013
eggheaders: All this village goat wey no dey leave their hellhole self. Leyland produce part for agricultural implements and they still in business. The flour mills are still working till date ask bread makers if you need answers their chimney still bellows smoke when I drive pass. Igbo logic animal logic.

Italiano1: You call me Mumu while you are still alive? grin grin cool

Go and ask Ekene DiliChukwu the amount of his earnings went to Lagos government and Lagosians directly and indirectly while your people suffocate by living- 14 in a room and parlor.

Go and ask Chisco and ABC the same questions!

Do not let me educate you on Orange drugs, Young shall grow etc

Ask for the Oil related companies, you should know who the bosses are grin grin grin

Like I said to you, your job is primarily based on making life easier for my people! You are here for a reason and when we like, we deport you or /and stifle your source of existence !
nsi nkita!!!!! all transport companies owned by igbos have their headquarters in either Onitsha or Aba. Orange drugs has its biggest warehouse along obodoukwu road while its industry is in the industrial layout. the likes of envoy, chicason and dossy oil companies produce their products in Onitsha or nnewi. actually, envoy is the sole supplier of vegetable oil to indomie noodles.

Italiano1: That is the difference between Yorubas and you! Go and do a research on the philosophy of "AKOSILE".

You are destined to be a landlocked region with no future or prospects! The only way any of you can make any headway in life is to migrate from your region!

Show me any Ibo man or woman who has ever succeeded in Life without living in Yorubaland or outside of Alaibo?

Lagos is a product of Yoruba acumen and wisdom! You are only here to facilitate the progress of a Yoruba state- you are an immigrant here.

As you would know, when you trespass, you would be deported to Uppy Iweka at ungodly hours without any consequence!
Some Great Igbo men who have succeeded in life living in Igboland:

Ibeto
Innoson
Ekulo group
Juhel pharmaceutical
Krisoral group
Orange drugs
Envoy oil
Master energy
Chicason
Dossy group
GMO
VITA RICE
CHISCO MOTORS
YOUNG SHAL GROW
EKENE DILI CHUKWU
GUO MOTORS
EKESON MOTORS
ABC TRANSPORT
LOUIS CARTER INDUSTRIES
CUTIX CABLE
TUMMY TUMMY NOODLES
POKOBROS
NICHOLAS UKACHUKWU

..... BEAR IN MIND THAT I MENTIONED FEW OF ANAMBRAINS I KNOW AND HAVE NOT INCLUDED OTHER STATES.
