Mfunkynation:
what shld an intended buyer tell RN7 sellers of "global rom" ?

Pls leave it for me jn Chinese version... When global rom becomes available on the Miui official download page, u can flash it urself.

genius43:
Shop ROM is the culprit

Not totally o... If u flash a global rom on a chinese rom... Then lock the bl, any update could brick it... Also shop rom could destroy it also...

tunzi:

Muhammedbashir:
Are there any serious disadvantage by buying the Global ROM I.e Installed ROM?

No sir when installed correctly.
Serious disadvantage is getting an adulterated rom
Not too much of a big deal is u can't update on a locked bootloader, else straight path to brickland
Problem now is that there's no global rom on the official Miui download page... Increases the chances of getting an adulterated rom...

the only ish i have with chinese rom is having to re-intsall google framework/google play store whenever one flashes or reset the phone and the presence of chinese characters expecially the music app

Turn of online services if u don't want Chinese in ur music... There's no Chinese characters on my music app except during boot, Xiaomi music animation updated so they have Xiaomi name during music boot.
As for Google framework... It doesn't take up to 3mins to install

henrygold100:
pls all this China and glober version. what does it mean, and which one is beta.

Both are better, just different.... Anyone issa goal

StRichard:

China version doesn't have much moby fonts,... Infact only 2

ENIMONEY:
Thanks to Ifedith, I just officially joined the xiaomi family.

He was professional and delivered as promised. Very smooth deal, no hassle.

I am now the proud owner of a Redmi Note 5al.

I can finally download Pubg and Gta.

Thanks to all those who advised me to go for the note 5. it is really beautiful.

Thanks for your patience..

fibonacci2526:
The only reason i don't like chinese rom is just how notification works, that swipe with two fingers to do quick reply or read a preview is not for me at all. A deal breaker.

I like the way it is implemented on the global rom but tbh the chinese rom enjoy some nifty features sha, my friend who bought the mi 8 SE keeps finding new features daily.

That deal breaker is old school now, it's been fixed in miui 10

Holuwaxheun:
If that wont work for Chinese version, kindly do well to give the guide since u are currently using one.

... Implication...

Holuwaxheun:
Go to settings - Additional settings - Location - Select India.

Then open ur Theme app, U will see the font icon at the menu bar on the theme home page, select it, and choose any font of ur choice.

China version

cemzor:
How you take change your font?

Who?
