DereI: Exactly.... For those thinking the can pay tuition with Canadian jobs while studying.... Pls think again.
Bring out your calculator let's do small mathematics.
Assuming your tuition is C$18,000 for your two years program, your rent is C$1,200monthly and your salary is C$10.68/hr which as a student, you can legally work for 20hours a week, how do you expect to foot your bills?
Let's be wise abeg.
And for those asking already answered questions, take a deep breath and start from Page 1 of Part 12 if you cannot start from an earlier part (which is highly advisable). You will see questions similar to yours being answered.
I wish us all the best. |

Bodmillz: The information is not meant for you as you can see I quoted someone. I have no idea if visa officers have the luxury of time to go through threads like this. Only trying to help a brother. It's not everybody lol hay can afford to put 2million in an account not to talk of having inflows/outflows of over 20 million naira.
Anyway, I will delete the post. I hope the person concerned got my message i am not having a go at you bro(it wont put money in my pocket ). as per visa officers, pls try reading up on other threads on nairaland(especially the US PART). i know you wanna help...but a little discretion wouldnt hurt anyone. my silly tots bro ..have a nice day |

Austinpee4: a) Review of background check means they are matching the information you provided with their records, if you previously commited a crime, refused a visa, ordered to leave a country, checking for any misrepresentations and if you are a threat to their security or on a wanted watchlist.
b) Review of eligibility means that they are checking if you ACTUALLY qualify for a study permit and if your application meet the requirements of the IRCC act.
The check for security, misrepresentation, health and everything that will ensure that you will not be of danger to canadians should your study permit be approved.
Most times, it is eligibility that some students don't meet because their applications and condition does not meet the requirements of the IRCC acts( sufficient funds, right courses, insufficient hometies, failure to convience an officer that primary intention is to study and that he/she will return after study) na here wey wahala dey most times! Other checks are just standard procedure for CIC. thanks boss...you too much...i hail |

jnyuwa02: The US immigration system is not based on meritocracy like Canada, it's based on family reunification. I did not marry and never obtained green card. By virtue of that, I never obtained citizenship. I am a Christian and have pretty high moral standard. I never met a good woman in the USA to marry to give me a green card and it's a hard choice I was ready to live with. Nigeria especially my area here in Jos is full of good women. I was on an extended visa and employment authorization all my time in the states. I am still Nigerian on paper, but Americanized as apple pie. I still need visa to go anywhere like you and will still need a visa to go back to the states or Canada or wherever I choose to sojourn for some years again. All that said, US citizens and permanent residents too must apply and qualify for Canadian study visas last time I checked. you are a strange nigerian dude.....and i appreciate your honesty...rooting for you all the way... |

jnyuwa02: I think this guy wanted to know whether you went ahead and did your biometrics by yourself and submitted it even before they requested it? Seems like we have a lot in common bro that is why I wanted to pm you. Do you have another email you use? If I get you correctly, you didn't submit any SOP, no transcripts, no landed documents or marital status and children responsibility shown to induce your return to Nigeria? please sir, as a US green card holder/citizen(bearing in mind your numerous years of study and work experience there ) why do you still need a study visa for canada? |

DereI: Normally the payment receipt is supposed to be attached and submitted along with your application. But since you have submitted already, wait for CIC to demand for additional document.
Goodluck thanks @ DereI |
