Re: NAPTIN'S NGSDP PROGRAMME A SCAM!
[ I THINK YOUR POST LACK FACTS AND EVIDENCE] Kindly Verify These Facts: The National Power Training Institute of Nigeria is a power training institute saddled with the responsibility of training graduate engineers and technicians to be employable in the competitive power sector fully dominated by expatriates. Having commenced her first training in 2012/2013 tagged: Naptin Graduate Skills Development Programme (NGSDP) has adequately trained first class expert in various field of power system: Generation, Transmission and Distribution. I was so lucky to apply for the 2012/2013 session and fully paid my fees and subsistence even though I tried for the state government to take up my bills that wasn't possible. Majority of the trainees were so lucky to be sponsored by their state governments. The quality of the training was superb and still is; even though I specialized in Transmission, I had the opportunity as well to interface with generation and distribution under seasoned engineers. The quality of the training I received in the field and the classroom instructions were excellent. I could recollect in 2012 at the inception of the training that the Director General of NAPTIN Engr. Reuben Okeke emphatically stated that the best TEN will be retained by NAPTIN and personally followed it up by visiting all the trainees in our various field locations; I could recollect that he visited us twice to ascertain how we were doing and on these visits he asked us articulated questions which actually made most of us to sit-up. Today, I did not regret applying for this training programme as I made it to the TOP TEN and has SINCE BEEN EMPLOYED BY NAPTIN. FACTS: * The TEN of us that made it were fully employed by NAPTIN since 14th March, 2014. Breakdown: One at Regional Training Centre Ijora, Lagos, One at the Corporate Headquarters, Abuja, Three at RTC Oji River, Enugu, Three at RTC AFAM, River State, Two at RTC kano. Moreso; * As at today about 65% of the NGSDP are from the 2012/2103 and 2013/2014 fully employed in the power sector through NAPTIN's recommendations. Enugu Electricity Distribution Company through NAPTIN's recommendations employed about 56 engineers, you may wish to Contact their HR to verify. Other companies who have also employed NAPTIN NGSDP graduates include: * SAHARA Group owners of IKEJA DISCO and Egbin employed. * Ibadan EDC employed. * Abuja EDC (KANN) employed. * Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) employed. Visit Benin TCN, Enugu TCN, Port Harcourt TCN etc and verify. * NAPTIN's State-of-the-art Labs at Kainji, Ijora Lagos, AFAM River State, Kano, Kaduna etc can not be assembled for SCAM. Verifiable. * NAPTIN since her inception has trained many graduates and technicians that are competing favourably in their chosen professions. It has never been the responsibility of NAPTIN to employ but the DG makes recommendation to the new owners of Generation and distribution companies. Enugu EDC for instance did not only employed those measured in distribution and transmission but also those that NAPTIN trained in Generation were interviewed and employed. The challenge was that 'most' of the Gencos did not follow the trend by Discos. And the Director General of NAPTIN has NO obligation to mandate them to employ. LIES * That you were not employ since then does not make NAPTIN a SCAM. * There is no document/agreement during the enrolment that states that NAPTIN MUST employ all the trainees. MOVE FORWARD Since you kindly admitted that NAPTIN gave us Expertise training in power system, you MUST prove that by applying to engineering firms that are recruiting daily to utilize these great skills. |
