PoliticsRe: Meet President Goodluck Jonathan's New Aide-de-camp by Igbanibo: 9:11am On May 14, 2010
It is ok, it is really a ceremonial position more than anything else. Afterall, the US president has military officers carrying the football, what is the big deal about GJ have a military ADC?
PoliticsRe: Babangida Faults Quota System In Public Appointments by Igbanibo: 3:49pm On Apr 16, 2010

The man has no credibility, shame it looks like the US is willing to back him, as long as he gets them their oil.
BusinessRe: Lekki Airport: White Elephant Project? by Igbanibo: 9:22pm On Mar 24, 2010
It can also compete with Murtala Mohammed International Airport and force them to shape up, which will be good for the Aviation Sector.
BusinessRe: Lekki Airport: White Elephant Project? by Igbanibo: 9:19pm On Mar 24, 2010
If they are building an airport, then they might as well make it as big as necessary to accommodate a jumbo jet at a minimum. Chances are there will be no room for expansion once the project is completed. Or at least have a plan to allow for further growth.
BusinessRe: US To Assist Nigeria On Nuclear Power by Igbanibo: 9:12pm On Mar 24, 2010
We should not build a nuclear powerplant, because we have not mastered maintaining our regular gas and hydroelectric power stations. Going for nuclear power is like going from elementary school to PhD, which is not very logical. If we maintain our plant properly, we have enough gas to power them and provide enough electricity for a good chunk of not only Nigeria, but West Africa. It is just a plot to chop more money O!
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Has Started Repaying Those That Installed Him! by Igbanibo: 11:37pm On Mar 15, 2010

PoliticsRe: Let Common Sense Prevail - Let The Phd Holder Rule For Another 4 Years by Igbanibo: 12:18am On Mar 09, 2010
If he does a good job, that he has a right to stand for the next election, and no one can say a word.
SportsRe: Lagerback To Earn $1.8 Million Dollars by Igbanibo: 5:37pm On Mar 08, 2010
I think a lot of those monies include salaries for his staff.
PoliticsRe: Sultan Condemns Calls For Sack Of Chief Of Army Staff by Igbanibo: 9:47am On Mar 08, 2010
The Sultan needs to stick to religion and bringing peace, I know he is a former military man, but he needs to stay out of this. If someone is on watch, then you need to let him know what is going on. By not keeping the Acting President informed, there was a breach of protocol. If they meant no harm, like they have been saying, then the Acting President should have been notified.
PoliticsRe: Fake Egyptian Doctors Fight In Maiduguri by Igbanibo: 4:32am On Mar 08, 2010
Hmmm, why do we bring Egyptian doctors in? Dont we have enough doctors in Nigeria? I guess we are not paying Nigerian doctors well from what I gather,
PoliticsRe: Fresh Trouble For Yar’adua As Supreme Court Orders Re-trial Of Election Petition by Igbanibo: 7:14pm On Mar 06, 2010

PoliticsRe: Britain Woos Babangida For 2011 Elections by Igbanibo: 6:47am On Feb 27, 2010
Under no conditions should IBB be allowed to return.
PoliticsRe: PointBlankNews Says Turai May Sack Maduekwe, Akunyili, Ruma, Kurfi by Igbanibo: 9:23pm On Feb 24, 2010
She doesnt have the enumerated powers to do that, but de facto yes. Unfortunately, the government is ruled the way a traditional chief, ie emir, oba does. I think while we are busy revising section 145 of the constitution, we need to put in an amendment on spouses running the government too.
PoliticsRe: We Must Achieve 6,000 Megawatts – Jonathan by Igbanibo: 5:07am On Feb 22, 2010
We need way more than 6000 MW
PoliticsRe: Yar’adua: Saudi Authorities Deny Ministers Landing Clearance by Igbanibo: 5:05am On Feb 22, 2010
It has turned into a diplomatic imbroglio. Instead of the Saudis been upfront and saying exactly what is going on, they have done their best to frustrate all Nigerians. It would be interesting to see the next couple of steps taken by the FG.
PoliticsRe: Senate To Name Those Involved In Halliburton Bribe Scandal by Igbanibo: 8:28pm On Feb 20, 2010
Dont hold your breath sad sad sad sad sad sad
PoliticsRe: How Will Jonathan Affect Business And Investment In Nigeria? by Igbanibo: 8:26pm On Feb 20, 2010
I think it is too early too tell, but I think Jonathan will have the privilege of knowing the mistakes that UMYR has made, and hopefully not go down the same path.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Air Crew Grumble In Saudi by Igbanibo: 8:44am On Feb 19, 2010
The plane should be brought back, it is way too expensive to have everyone living in Saudi Arabia and paying the landing rights fees. When the president is well enough, Jonathan will send a plane to bring him back, full stop.
PoliticsRe: This Should Send Very Strong Signal To Trigger-happy Nigerian Police Officers by Igbanibo: 8:39am On Feb 19, 2010
Yes, the man should be prosecuted, but we need to look at the problem from multiple angles. If you are being paid the equivalent of $60 a month, which is not enough survive on, and then you have a gun, naturally you will attempt to use the gun to your financial advantage. Part of the problem is that Police people need to be paid better too. Of course, this does not absolve the police for their senseless violence.
PoliticsRe: I Will Send Aondoakaa To Prison If…waziri by Igbanibo: 10:07pm On Feb 17, 2010
Frying pan calling kettle black, kai!!!
PoliticsRe: Civil war not against Ndigbo — Gowon by Igbanibo: 10:27am On Feb 13, 2010
The Northern cadre in the Nigerian Army wanted to secede from Nigeria right after the July 29 1966 coup.  Their British and American masters told them not to, because there will be no money, no seaport, low standard of living, so all of a sudden, they were shouting "One Nigeria".  How ironic!!!!
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Navy Website by Igbanibo: 8:52pm On Feb 12, 2010
Clearly someone forgot that the website is in existence, it has not been updated since 2007, that is Nigeria for you in a nutshell.
PoliticsRe: US Navy Ship Caused Haiti Earthquake by Igbanibo: 8:55am On Feb 12, 2010
It is plausible that heating up the ionosphere, droughts and earthquakes could result. It is not a conspiracy theory, I have seen documentaries on that here in the US.

SportsRe: The Most Important Eagles Come Worldcup 2010 by Igbanibo: 11:12pm On Jan 22, 2010
If and only if Ikechukwu Uche regains his form after injury, otherwise it is Odemwingie hands down!!!
SportsRe: Liverpool Renews Interest In Taye Taiwo by Igbanibo: 11:02pm On Jan 22, 2010
If you have watched any of his games, getting back on defense is not his strength. Either he is too heavy, or he is poorly conditioned. Once he goes up the field, he is heavily dependent on his central defenders to bail him out. Watch someone like Douglas Maicon get up field, and see how quickly he gets backs, when his teams loses possession, big difference!!!
PoliticsRe: Islamisation Of Nigeria:Why's Mr President Still In The "holy Land"? (OIC) by Igbanibo: 10:54pm On Jan 22, 2010
Well, I think Nigeria needs to send an official delegation to the National Brotherhood of Pagans and Shamans, I thought there was freedom of religion and thought, but guess I am wrong!
