a reccess shrine crouched at the base of a tree. typical . i looked weird trying to snap a photo of it, in locals' eyes.

these were for gods. to be strewn on the ground . they do the praying every morning, just like to drink a cup of coffee.
|
the fruits, no idea for gods or for people. sold in front of the temple

the chimera god it was very noisy and chaotic in a hindu temple. zero pressure to take lots of photos, no qualm for photos as in holy places of other religions. i find this religion quite hilarious and amusing. sounds they win believers by noise and fruits.

the votives looking back at me who was looking at them . inside a hindu temple.

the emir palace. who was emir? the second hand of india under british rule. the man second to the viceroy. the highest slave among indian. dozens of policemen, not security, were post there, in order to check the tickets to go inside. ticket cost 1000naira. i did not go inside. i had no respect for any top slave, let alone his house.

a house of a common family in the old pink city, i thought it was a "sight" and asked to step inside. they allowed for my curiosity.

day 14 today's mission was to explore the historic city , the pink city, in jaipur, in the morning. and then dashed to the capital new delhi. it was 200km from here to new delhi. i took my time. the jaipur metro, built under the thousand year old palace and plaza.

end of day 13

got a hot shower and hopped on bed, although i did not eat dinner today. it was too late to feel hungry, and there was a big bulldog outside the hotel which blocked my way back to the railway station night market to look for food.

no wonder rajasthan, which this city jaipur is the capital of , is the ancient central and royal area of india. just feel the atmosphere.

hot shower, very rare in indian hotels

arrived in jaipur at 11pm. i found a hotel by help of the guide book. the best hotel i have met in my whole journey. 5000naira . they gave me a discount because i told them i would leave at 7am .

late in evening, i shifted to a seat near the door, in case to get off easily. two young men whom i was afraid would be bad guys turned out to be teachers in a primary school. they were on their way to himachal pradesh state for vacation. they showed me their xiaomi phones with great enthusiasm. they would spend one month salary buying a phone, which was about 120 dollars.

the boyfriend of that girl. he was so annoying. the bench was for three people, but he made it for four. i had to lie on his back, and he asked me whether i wanted to lie down to sleep. he was tasting some snack as uninteresting as he.
|
a young girl wrote down this question to me, she was so curious, she simply could not stop asking me questions , and totally put her boyfriend aside. i did not want to humor her patriotism by saying india is so good and thus i come to visit. i just answered her "why not ?"

oh, my G ! this breakfast was awful. 500naira, definitely being ripped off. it felt weird if i went without breakfast. so i mechanically bought one. the pancake was flat, bland, stodgy, thick. the curry or whatever in those 4 sockets, i had no idea why they were put in different sockets, they tasted the same, potato slush with beans. and that little bit turnip pickle was very salty . i literally took 2 bites. then i threw it away. sorry !

today it was rather crowded after i transferred at midway. the conductor wanted to rip off me by tripling the price but not even allowing me a seat. but this chubby guy warmly invited me to his seat, he had a backup seat, he bought two tickets for his weight. he moved away his luggage and let me sit. so, it turned out that i spent zero money this trip. india is really a democratic country. you may always find a different voice from the next person.

woman with henna. she was over 50 by her face, but her skin was young, well-kept
