cart for starchy food , sorry, not my type. i bet, if these indian guys are given a chance to eat sushi or dim sum or boston lobsters, they would never touch this food again . nothing to do with patriotism, just the nature of digestion system

scaffold in the hotel. india has ambitions, they aim at china, and they feel quite optimistic about their developing speed. but india's development is still labor-intense type.

returned to my room to have a siesta. it was 40 degree outside.

the menu, all was about chicken. price not high, but not low either. i guess pretty high for indian locals. i just pointed out whatever i wanted to eat, i did not know the names on the menu.

one whole chicken 800naira. crispy , crusty, smoky outside. juicy, tender inside. squeeze some lemon juice on it. nice !

my appetizing tandoori lunch ! yummy ! green pepper sauce, quite strong . i poured it on the chicken.

before noon, headed back to my hotel, i wanted a nap. this was the hotel building. snapped it before i sojourned around, in case i could not find a way back and needed to ask for direction

an ancient fortress among the bazzar. free to go inside. but it was under maintenance . most part closed.

after entered the ancient city walls. the thoroughfare of ancient city. the ancient city is a giant bazzar nowadays. i went too early, most shops still closed.

the city walls. ahmadabad , not like taj mahal, is not a tourist spot. all its ancient majesty is abandoned to the corrosion of time. so, you may find yourself in a living museum, with old even dilapidated architectures among modern buildings and throngs of people in a weekend market day. the old and the new blending naturally.
